At 5:19 EST today, Mercury – aka the cosmic messenger – will exit conservative Capricorn and move into revolutionary Aquarius until February 21. Now, personally, I think that Mercury in Aquarius quickens the mind – for better or worse. And some astrologers believe that Mercury is actually exalted in this brainy sign. As this isn’t universally agreed upon, I offer it to you as something to chew on. (If you were born with Mercury in Aquarius, you already know how brilliant you are!)Still, a fast mind can just as easily get ahead of itself or jump to conclusions, or even rush to a solution, at risk of being out of step with whatever is presenting itself. This is all the more possible with Mercury making a sextile to dogmatic Jupiter in give it to me now Aries. You may believe you’ve got all of the answers but it’s just as possible that, in your haste, you’ve skipped a step. Mercury also rises before the Sun right now, so he’s our oriental planet. This adds to the possibility of speaking without having your inner edit function ready. Be brilliant, but be humble – now there’s a balancing act!
