Monday is Memorial Day in the United States, a solemn and sacred occasion when people commemorate the sacrifices made by the brave men and women serving in the Armed Forces with a huge sale at Wal-Mart. This phenomenon has always caused me to question the integrity of the holiday … and throughout the week you’ll likely be questioning some Big Truths yourself. Regardless of the details of your birth chart, with four planets in Gemini (and Mars joining the pile by the end of the month), it’s an excellent time to be questioning things and for getting some answers.
Tuesday, Venus is conjunct Jupiter at 24 degrees Gemini. This will generally lighten the mood and make the next couple of days potentially pleasant. Have a look at where that point falls in your birth chart, and what (if anything) it aspects. This could bring potentially big news as far as love, money, material security … and blood sugar. Watch that urge to binge.
The fast (and sometimes frantic) mental energy of Gemini gets a little much-needed moderation on Friday, as Mercury enters Cancer. Mercury is the ruler of Gemini, but in the Moon’s Sign it takes on a little more depth and sensitivity. In fact, Mercury and Jupiter will be (until June 25th) in what is called a “mutual reception”: each planet is in the Sign ruled by the other. [Editor’s Note: Cancer is the Sign in which Jupiter is exalted.] This could be particularly good news for any business involving communication, entertainment, spirituality, or education. If you are in one of those lines of work, expect improvements. If you’ve been thinking about launching your own business along those lines, get to work on it!
The weekend brings us a new month, and a new Venus placement. Venus enters Cancer on Sunday. This will give many of you the opportunity to smooth things over in your personal lives, and possibly to get a bit of a better grip on your finances. Conjunct Mercury, it will be a lovely time to write a love letter. Trine Neptune (as it will be for the following few days), it could be a lovely time for Love.
