As this amethyst geode reveals, what may appear rough or even unattractive on the surface (symbolic of Mars square Saturn) may belie great beauty within (exemplified by Moon in Libra). Today’s energy mingles with the remnants of yesterday’s, so little has changed. However, the Moon has moved into a union with Saturn in relationship-oriented Libra. This puts the issue of right relations on the front burner. On an emotional (Moon) or even cerebral level (symbolized by Libra’s air element), the strength and validity of your key relationships is either analyzed or put to the test. This is emphasized by Moon and Saturn’s square to Mars in Capricorn. Whereas Saturn represents stick-to-it-iveness and Mars is all about getting in or out as quickly as possible, today’s over-riding concern may be who’s with me for the long haul, and who’s here for a quick ride? Both types of relationships have merit, but it’s necessary to discern the difference. The Moon is squaring the Sun and Pluto as well, so an issue may come to some sort of head today. Though angry eruptions are possible, the Moon’s placement in the air element promotes objective detachment – as does mental Mercury’s sextile to Saturn. For those who need to get to the bottom of an important matter: if you don’t over-identify with Mars today, you stand a reasonable chance of having a level-headed discussion that helps to illuminate where you stand with a certain someone. As Venus (relationships) in Scorpio continues to build towards her trine with Jupiter (wisdom) and Uranus (breakthrough) in compassionate Pisces, be as creative as you desire when looking for mutual solutions.
