Now that the Sun has moved into Capricorn for the month, he has joined Pluto for their annual meeting – and Mars happens to be sitting in. Inasmuch as Mars and Pluto share a similar vibration – with Pluto referred to as the higher octave of Mars – this is quite a powerful conglomeration in the sign whose energy most corresponds to corporatism and business. You can be sure that there are some fairly high-level meetings going on, no doubt behind closed doors. Pluto doesn’t give up its secrets easily, after all.
If you’re not a corporate type, don’t imagine for one second that these meetings don’t pertain to you. Business runs the world; indeed it runs governments, though we continue to believe in the power of democracy as a means of voicing our values. But don’t get me started on our collective naivete around leadership and politics. My point is that, regardless of your line of work and whether it’s placed within or outside of the mainstream, decisions are being made that are relevant to you – and it would behoove you to find out what’s going on, at least in your community.
Whenever the Sun connects with Mars and Pluto, there’s an underlying message about empowerment, and what’s at stake in order to remain in an empowered state. Power expresses itself differently from individual to individual. Some just naturally own theirs; some want more and tend to “steal” it from those who don’t know what to do with it. It’s as if there’s an implicit agreement between the thief and the one who’s been robbed: “Since you appear weaker than I, I shall feed off of your weakness, for that makes me stronger.” This use of energy reflects a misunderstanding of the spiritual principles at work between give and take. Generally, though, people tend to gravitate towards groups that have a similar energy field or vibration. This offers the hope that, if enough people come together with an understanding of how to stand in the light (Sun) of their authentic personal power (Mars and Pluto), they can create massive shifts, whether in big business, or in other cultural collectives. These three planets happen to be conjunct the Moon’s North Node – an indicator of our collective dharma – so change is indeed coming.
Having made mention of the Moon, it bears mentioning that, on her way out of Virgo’s gentle but rather ‘particular’ zone, she makes an opposition to Jupiter and Uranus, both in Pisces. The day is emotionally charged, and these three planets create a challenging yet creative t-square alignment with Sun and Pluto. So this is a rather intense day, whether emotionally, physically or spiritually. Renewal is one possibility, along with its shadow twin, destruction. What needs to go, in order for you to feel truly connected to your power source – and will you honour that deep knowing in order to make it so?
