Love Horoscope for the Week of September 19

Let’s talk about marriage. Y’all are married, right? I hear a few voices protesting that you’re barely dating; you’re staying sexy and single; the only vow you’ll make is to remain unattached and unencumbered by white picket fences.

Whatever. Everyone is married in some way, shape or form to something. You’re married to an idea or a principle. You’re married to a certain way of doing things. You’re married to a beloved project that you’re trying to keep airborne. The list goes on…

Any successful and thriving marriage requires a delicate mélange of thrills, chills and even a few spills. Those spills offer the most valuable lessons in where you can afford to give ground, or where you need to dig your heels in and hold strong.

If whatever it is that you are symbolically married to does not thrill you, what’s the point, dude? Let it go; holding on to a principle that chokes you does not make you a hero. And if it doesn’t chill you—scare you a little because it’s big—then you may be nestled too comfortably in your pretty cage. If you don’t occasionally have a spill or mishap, maybe you’re holding the reins a bit too tight to experiment.

You’re married; make no mistake. You’re married to your Life—for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. So go with it: delight in your union with All. And risk doing it differently if you’re not in love with your Life right now.
