October 18: Moon trine Venus and sextile Pluto
Do you ever have days when you wish to ingratiate yourself with someone else – you know: get into their good graces? It’s the I’ll scratch your back; you scratch mine mentality. Especially if you sense an opportunity to get in good with higher-ups at work or with people who can line your pockets. Well, today is rather like that. The Moon is treading Pisces’ compassionate waters, and the desire to give unto others increases. Generally speaking, when Piscean energy rises to the fore there is a selfless component that has no thought of what’s in it for me? But today the Moon reaches out to Venus (who’s currently brooding in Scorpio) as well as Scorpio’s ruler Pluto, in corporate Capricorn. There’s usually a whiff of power when Scorpio and Pluto are in the picture. So your altruistic motives may not necessarily be without an agenda today, however unconscious it may be. But hey, if you’re fundraising, for example, this is a day to appeal straight to everyone’s heart, especially if your cause has a humanitarian or spiritual mission.
