October 28: Jupiter and Mars – Deeds Not Words!
As Jupiter retrograde sits on the 24th degree of idealistic Pisces, he remains in a loose trine with Mars, newly in Sagittarius. As Jupiter rules both signs, picture him sitting in his oceanic villa (Pisces), whilst calling his winter residence (Sagittarius). Mars picks up the telephone there, and assures Jupiter that all is well in his fiery abode. In a sense, Jupiter is entrusting Mars to be his ambassador over the next five weeks.
Since both Jupiter in Pisces and Mars in Sagittarius are concerned with philosophical and spiritual knowledge, today’s energy is a cosmic message to act (Mars) in alignment with your beliefs (Jupiter). Thinking of ways to better yourself – and the world, as a result – is only effective if it leads to living those convictions. Still, Jupiter is retrograde, and conjunct the Great Awakener, Uranus (also retrograde). This symbolizes the need to search yourself for evidence that your beliefs are, in fact, your own. Even if you inherited your values and code of ethics from family members or teachers, or they’re culturally embedded in you, it still behooves you to check in and see that you’re speaking your own truth (Uranus), as opposed to spouting off ideas that no longer resonate with you. Though your beliefs and ideas may be in flux, you can still walk your talk.
