I wondered if she was born on an eclipse.  So I checked: she was born the day before one in November 1965. Experimental Podcast

My friend Andrea and I have been experimenting with microphones over the kitchen table. We’re planning a monthly podcast to broadcast when the Sun changes signs. We made one earlier this month, when the Sun moved into Pisces. Although it’s a bit rough around the edges, I thought I’d publish it for readers of this blog, since we talk about the eclipse a lot. Oh and there’s some stuff about Donald Trump’s hair and Einstein’s nodes that you might find amusing. By the Aries ingress, we should be a bit more fluent and focused.

This first fortnight of March is composers’ week. Yesterday was Chopin’s birthday; today the “father of Czech music”, Bedrich Smetana, was born in 1824. Smetana was a Czech patriot and one of the generation that rose up against the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the Revolutions of 1848. The musicologist Rosa Newmarch says Smetana’s three influences were “nationalism, realism and romanticism”. And his chart reflects this assertion beautifully.
