Solar Eclipse in Leo: Lights Out
I realize that advocating for creative joy seems trivial in the face of the horrifying displays of racism and threats of war that fill the news, and that it’s no substitute for activism. But in celebrating joy and sacred selfhood, we automatically reject the horrors of hatred and warped pride, and affirm the very happiest reasons for living. Love is not a cure for all that ails us, but it’s the right inspiration for the fight.

Astrology Highlights for July 20-26, 2026: The Commonality
For nearly eight decades, the sextile of Neptune and Pluto has been present in most birth charts, in various signs and within various orbs of exactitude. And this week’s exact aspect between them is the first in a series that will last through Feb. 2032, when it finally wraps up.
We could be forgiven to thinking that it’s so common, there isn’t much to say about it. But in fact, it’s a chart signature that binds us together, a point of commonality. Even something like a slow-moving Pluto transit in a particular sign doesn’t last as long as this sextile has.

A dramatic Leo Solar Eclipse; Venus aspects Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus; Mars enters Cancer. Mercury gets a change of perception as it connects with Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter. And a listener question about money in the horoscope.
This Full Moon and Pluto oppose the Sun and Jupiter, conjunct in Leo. “I want to be myself!” that conjunction exclaims; but the Full Moon and Pluto in the opposite sign declares, “I want to be unlike anyone else” – which isn’t exactly the same thing.
