June 19th, 2017: Keep Talking

  • Sun in Gemini square Chiron in Pisces: 28 degrees
  • Mercury in Gemini trine the South Node in Aquarius/sextile the North Node in Leo
  • Uranus in Aries conjunct Pallas: 27 degrees

Sun/Chiron suggests that painful choices/information may undermine confidence. The purpose of something (or your purpose) may be in question, due to doubts about competence. Attempts to skate over the sore spot will fail, because the square as crisis aspect indicates you must confront what hurts – perhaps putting yourself out there and openly discussing/learning will expose the wound. Once it’s exposed, you can deal with it. Rather than allowing the discomfort to shatter your purpose, consider both sides of the issue – ego and empathy, power and compassion.

Meanwhile, Mercury’s aspects to the Nodes encourage you to keep talking/reading/gathering information. The more you know, or the more information you share with others, the more successful your efforts to move forward will be. Key topics will involve the past, and how those events can be integrated into the future. Gemini is uniquely equipped for this, due to the ability to view both sides of the issue. This aspect is part of the Kite, discussed here

Uranus/Pallas can trigger brilliant flashes of inspiration. Watch for bold, unusual strategies or odd patterns that suddenly catch your attention. There’s no logic to this one – it’s a lightening-in-a-bottle influence that can’t be rationalized. The initial idea may not make sense, but you should have a tingly feeling that you’re onto something big.

The Sun/Chiron square may shut you down, or shut you up. But today’s other aspects encourage you to keep talking. Keep looking for answers and consider all sides of your situation. It hurts right now, but the future beckons.

Shift Happens | Venus in Taurus, Mercury in Gemini, Jupiter Direct

There has been a number of planetary shifts already this month, and you’re probably experiencing your own personal shifts – like I am. On many levels, I’ve been productive in strengthening and rebuilding through much positivity, movement AND gratitude – despite restrictive Saturn transiting Sagittarius, which has been aspecting my Sun and Mercury. But since I missed blogging […]

Mercury in Gemini

‘Because Y is a crooked letter and Z is no better.’ My Poppa used to say this to me when I was very young in answer to any of my ‘but why’ questions. I always accepted the response without…

May 30th, 2017: Making Progress

  • Mars in Gemini sextile Uranus in Aries: 26 degrees
  • Sun in Gemini sextile Vesta in Leo: 9 degrees
  • Mercury in Taurus trine Juno Rx in Capricorn: 17 degrees

Mars/Uranus triggers a hit of ingenuity, plus the courage to do something with it. Actions are driven by restlessness, and would normally be quite scattered, were it not for the Mars/Saturn opposition.  The ease of the sextile means impatient/risky efforts have a positive outlet. You can attempt something different without tripping. This is one aspect in the top of the Kite, described here

Vesta adds focus to the Sun in Gemini’s multitasking. One choice is easier to make – watch for a pull in a certain direction. The Sun rules Leo, adding extra shine and purpose to Vesta’s devotion. Creative work, and pride in what you’re bringing to life, is fuelled by new information, discussions or contacts.

Mercury/Juno suggests calm relationship discussions, or signing a contract between partners. Words support a mutual agreement, and all the basics are covered. There are no fancy promises or convoluted details, just straightforward ideas you can shake on.

This is an excellent day for progress, cooperation and motivation.

May 22nd, 2017: Fixating on the Flame

  • Mercury in Taurus square Vesta in Leo: 6 degrees

The basics of what you want clash with creative/romantic devotion. Maybe you’re so focused on the special thing that you get bogged down in financial details, or the possessive tyranny of ownership. Fixating on something/someone special can shut down creative possibilities, if all you think about is “He/she’s mine” or “Will others appreciate how much I paid for this?”

Alternatively, the cost of recognition/ego may be too much, if it threatens your values or security. Consider the price of admission into the spotlight.
