  • Third Quarter Square between the Virgo Moon and Sagittarius Sun (7 deg)

  • Uranus Rx in Aries square Vesta in Capricorn (29 deg)

A tense day as the Third Quarter Square raises new and annoying questions. Certain flaws in the story may emerge, and while they will be bothersome, you’ll find them difficult to ignore. Before you can expand any further, you need to attend to the details. Pay attention to the small but significant mental itch that won’t go away – something is not quite right.

Uranus/Vesta challenges an area of rigid focus. You may be devoted to a certain rule, or be completely fixated on a narrow path. A disruption will shake this up – consider if you can look outside the box or if some of the rules need to be challenged. Sometimes a distraction opens your eyes to new possibilities.

November 27th, 2018: Hopeful Progress

  • Waning Trine between the Leo Moon and Sagittarius Sun (5 deg)

  • Sun conjunct Mercury Rx in Sagittarius (5 deg)

  • Mercury Rx conjunct Jupiter (4 deg)

  • Vesta conjunct the Capricorn South Node (28 deg)

Waning Trine

The Waning Trine allows you to share your talents or a creation that you’re proud of. Something special can be displayed or communicated, and others will be receptive. The energy is hopeful, forward-looking and vibrant.

This will involve the Sun/Mercury Rx conjunction (with Jupiter) which marks the midpoint of the Mercury’s retrograde (since Nov 16th) – here is a point of clarity that involves a reward or greater wisdom. Mercury Rx’s delays and reviews can deliver some benefits or open your eyes to something better. And this is what you’ll be sharing with others, or they will be sharing with you.

If you’ve been waiting for an answer or hint about what you’re supposed to do next, this could be it. Keep in mind that Mercury is still Rx, so the process is not complete. But this should mark a positive turning point.

Vesta

Vesta/South Node hi-lights a point of exclusive focus (or obsession). This could be something from the past, or an issue that’s ready to be developed further. It may involve rules, limits, traditions or authority. Now is the moment to finish it and move on – you can either stop focusing on it or see the results of what you’ve been devoting your energy to.

November 25th, 2018: Make Time to Nurture

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Cancer Moon and Sagittarius Sun/Jupiter (3 deg)

  • Mars in Pisces trine Ceres in Scorpio (5 deg)

The Waning Inconjunct takes the expansive energy of November 23rd’s Full Moon and reminds you that it’s time to pause and look after yourself or someone close to you. The Jupiter-fuelled situation has a personal side. Or, you need to honour some intimate needs/family/security amidst the rush of bigger issues. A matter involving right/wrong, exploration, faith or wisdom has a distinctly familiar angle.

Mars/Ceres can help with the above as compassionate or spiritual actions support deep nurturing. The more you let go, allow or move with the prevailing current, the greater the intensity of unconditional care and support. This is nurturing that is not afraid to move through loss to the other side.

November 24th, 2018: Progress With Neptune Direct

  • Neptune stations direct in Pisces (13 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Sagittarius sextile Pallas in Libra (8 deg)

Neptune

Retrograde since June 18th (from 16 to 13 deg Pisces) Neptune direct is about moving forward after the last remnants of an illusion/dream/outdated situation have dissolved. There may be a release as something fades away. If Neptune has been triggering confusion or loss of focus, this can be a time when you make some headway and progress further into the unknown country (forward means you’re one step closer to the other side).

If you have a natal plant or point at:

  • 13 deg of the Mutable signs, Neptune will be permanently done with you as of December 27th, 2018 (roughly)

  • 14 deg of the Mutable signs, Neptune will be permanently done with you as of February, 2019 (roughly)

  • 17 to 18 deg of the Mutable signs, you’ll be getting your first taste of Neptune around April 2019

Mercury/Pallas

Mercury in Sag makes the first of two sextiles to Pallas. This is a quiet but positive influence – any harmonious aspect between Mercury and Pallas blends information/communication with strategy. Pallas in Libra is about relationship or diplomatic strategies, and boosted by Mercury in Sag, we have expansive communication to deliver these strategies. Meaning, a convincing way to send your message.

But Mercury is Rx, so this will be a revision of previous information, or a second request. Ask again and restrategize. Mercury direct will sextile Pallas again on December 29th, so the plan may not roll forward in its entirety until then.

For now, rest assured that this is a good time to adjust those solutions and have them favourably received. And it’s happening when Neptune goes direct, so you know there will be progress, even if it’s slow.

November 23rd, 2018: Venus in Libra Square Vesta

  • Venus in Libra square Vesta in Capricorn (26 deg)

Vesta’s rigid focus (in Saturn-ruled Capricorn) can cause tension with a relationship, financial or self-esteem issue. Venus in Libra wants harmony and balance, but the tension of the square suggests that strict concentration on what you want but don’t have (or where you don’t feel good enough) can cause an imbalance.

Today, you may be aware of a situation where you don’t feel loved/liked or where the exchange between you and another is not equal. Know that obsessing about this will increase the blockage you already feel. Consider what rules or boundaries are challenging you and see if there’s a compromise available between what you want versus what is.

For some, excessive focus on responsibility or work can create blocks in the personal life. Are you shutting someone out because of your devotion to status or tradition?

November 18th, 2018: Flow Forward

   Peder Severin Krøyer

  • Waxing Trine between the Pisces Moon and Scorpio Sun (28 deg)

  • Venus in Libra inconjunct Juno Rx in Taurus (25 deg)

The Waxing Trine is a point of integration between transcendence and depth, transpersonal and intense involvement. With this flowing energy you should feel a natural “click” that allows you to move forward through a dark, consuming or powerful issue with a measure of calm. The Moon in Pisces is about allowing – what will be, will be. Notice the gentle release as events move as they are meant to, and you open yourself up to whatever comes next.

The Venus/Juno inconjunct is the third of three (September 1st and November 3rd being the first two). With this aspect, you have continually confronted a disconnect between set agreements about resources/security (Juno in Taurus) versus one partner’s desire for more equality or flexibility. Maybe one partner wanted more of a partnership while the other was content with things the way they were.

Now with this final confrontation, use the flow of the Waxing Trine to move forward. Intimacy is integrated with acceptance, and control is no longer an issue.

November 17th, 2018: Sun Opposite Juno Rx in Taurus

  • Sun in Scorpio opposite Juno Rx in Taurus (25 deg)

Juno Rx in Taurus is a review of the essentials in a relationship agreement – the security basics, the desire for stability, the money. When the Sun opposes Juno Rx, we see a possible ending or result brought on by that review. The Sun will illuminate a key issue from the depths of Scorpio (the stuff beneath the surface) and since Juno has been Rx in Taurus since October 24th, part of the agreement/contract is ready to be unearthed.

Taurus is the secure foundation and routine. Scorpio is the depths and the death/rebirth of that routine. Today we dig into the heart of a relationship contract and see what’s really there.

November 14th, 2018: Scorpio Sun Sextile Vesta

  • Sun in Scorpio sextile Vesta in Capricorn (22 deg)

Sun in Scorpio’s depth is gently enhanced with a sextile to Vesta. Vesta’s focus is applied to an already intense issue, with just a touch of emphasis. Think if this as a gentle nudge to look a bit deeper or consider one more layer.

Focus on or devotion to a particular subject should come naturally and easily – nothing will be forced on you. Good for all matters of exclusive concentration.

November 11th, 2018: Scorpio Loss and Gain

  • Uranus Rx in Aries opposite Ceres in Libra (29 deg)

  • Ceres enters Scorpio

  • Sun in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn (19 deg)

Ceres

The Uranus/Ceres opposition in the final degrees of Aries/Libra suggests an abrupt culmination or result involving the cycle of nurturing.

Ceres (the crop goddess) made a deal with Pluto (King of the Underworld) – he would allow her daughter (whom he had taken) to spend part of the year above ground with her mother. The rest of the year her daughter would be below ground.

In Libra, Ceres was about the exchange of nurturing and balanced/unbalanced agreements. The opposition to Uranus could be a final jolt that corrects an imbalance, ends an agreement or radically changes the dynamics regarding who gives what.

This jolt will lead to Ceres’ trip to the underworld (Pluto-ruled Scorpio). Here, we explore what goes on beneath the surface of nurturing – the inevitable loss or ending that is part of every cycle. And, the resulting rebirth/new life. Ceres in Scorpio may demand that you accept a loss before you can experience regeneration. You may be confronted with the Shadow side of nurturing (the desire for control, the fear of letting go) while also looking at who has the power in certain agreements (Ceres-type agreements involve primal issues that feel like survival). You can also discover power/resilience that you didn’t know you had – buried resources that allow you to move forward, through the cycle.

Ceres will exit Scorpio for Sagittarius on January 25th, 2019.

Sun/Pluto

Adding emphasis to today’s Scorpio flavour, the Scorpio Sun makes a sextile to Pluto. Here is a soft spotlight on an issue of power or transformation. The sextile is a gentle aspect, so the power/evolution that’s highlighted can be expressed effectively but harmoniously. Perhaps the “death” will arrive quietly, or the change you have to accept will manifest easily. Sun/Pluto does indicate the power to permanently transform a situation.

This is also an aspect of success (in business or finances) but with the Ceres influence it would seem that you need to make a strategic agreement, perhaps where you give up some control (to gain what you want).

  • Mars in Aquarius square Juno Rx in Taurus (27 deg)

  • Ceres in Libra square the South Node in Capricorn/North Node in Cancer (29 deg)

Today we have two squares that will provide motivating crises. No one likes tension, but that’s how change happens.

Mars/Juno

The Mars/Juno square indicates a confrontation between set relationship agreements versus disruptive or independent actions. One partner may want to keep things the same while the other wants their freedom, or is agitating for change.

This is the second of two squares. The first square occured on July 16th, 2018 when Mars was Rx and Juno was direct (at 6 deg). At that time, actions were being reviewed and revised. Now that Juno is Rx, the terms of the agreement/commitment may be up for revision.

Mars square Juno can indicate relationship conflict, but if a partnership has stagnated, this final square should shake things up.

Ceres

Ceres in the final degree of Libra squares the Nodes, newly entered into Capricorn/Cancer. A one-on-one (or one-sided) exchange of nurturing is at a tipping point. A square to the Nodes means this is a key issue that needs to be resolved before you can move forward. So there may be old rules/responsibilities (Capricorn South Node) that need to be revised (or left behind) before you can arrive at an authentic form of nurturing where needs (for both people) are met (Cancer North Node).

Parental issues are very strong here. Ceres is mother’s nurturing, Capricorn is the father and Cancer is the mother/child. What’s happening with the family dynamics? There’s a definite shift here – the way nurturing/care is being applied is up for a major change. Perhaps the caregiver/patient relationship is being redefined. Or, maybe your responsibilities as a caregiver/mother need attention.

When Libra is involved, you’re going from one end of the scales to the other, and ultimately you want to find that balance point.
