October 7th, 2018: Selfless Nurturing or Sacrifice?

  • Sun in Libra conjunct Ceres, inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (14 deg)

Referring to tomorrow’s New Moon, the Sun/Libra conjunction hi-lights the give and take of nurturing. This will be in a one-on-one context, with the ultimate expression of nurturing as a balanced exchange. Something is blooming here.

However, the inconjunct to Neptune is a reminder that ego is not part of this picture. Yes, sometimes nurturing can be expected or given with strings attached, but in this case the expression should be selfless. At the same time, there can be confusion about who gives what and where to draw the line between care and sacrifice. It may be difficult to achieve that balance, so make sure you and anyone else involved are completely clear on the terms of this exchange.

September 29th, 2018: Speaking Out

  • Juno enters Gemini

Speak Out

A Waning Trine between the Gemini Moon and Libra Sun includes a trine to Mars and Lilith in Aquarius, creating a Grand Air Trine (a smooth circuit of energy). Information (Gemini) is shared in a social context and accepted by others (but probably not everyone). This involves BML themes of women’s power, anger/violence and controversial sexual issues – the woman who stands out and says what many don’t want to hear.

At this moment, her passionate words and anger have a social outlet. Note that Aquarius is the group and Libra is one-on-one. Her words come out naturally (a hallmark of the trine). Now is the time – good if you want to speak about something (especially a relationship issue) that wouldn’t normally be accepted.

Juno

Juno into Gemini hi-lights flexible partnership agreements. More than one choice is key and fast-moving communication becomes essential. This is not the time to keep silent, and new agreements could manifest. Juno in Gemini urges you to exchange thoughts with another – the essence of the contract is a constant influx of fresh ideas that are shared.

However, Juno will station Rx at 0 deg Gemini on Oct 12th, returning to Taurus on Oct 24th. So right out of the gate there will be reasons to question new choices/ideas. The retreat into Taurus suggests a reevaluation of the basics of the partnership: ground yourself in what you already know before adding anything else.

Juno will station direct on Dec 23rd (at 20 deg) and will return to Gemini on Feb 10th, 2019. This is when you can confidently move forward with what you and another have discussed. Before this date, assume that there will be backtracking, questions and the exposure of additional layers.

Juno will exit Gemini for Cancer on Apr 20th, 2019.

September 28th, 2018: Chiron Rx in Pisces Sextile Juno

  • Chiron Rx in Pisces sextile Juno in Taurus (29 deg)

Chiron’s return to Pisces is bolstered by a hopeful aspect to Juno. Going back to what hurts can involve a solid agreement. Here is quiet support from a partner who has your back, or empathizes with you. There may be no words – just an understanding.

Excellent if you’re trying to heal a relationship, but don’t look for anything dramatic – this aspect depends on a mutual understanding that some things simply need to be released.

This aspect will repeat on November 3rd (at 28 deg) when Juno is Rx, so the process will not be a quick one. Watch for slow, gentle healing and patient acceptance.

September 27th, 2018: Balance

  • Moon in Taurus inconjunct Sun in Libra (Waning Inconjunct-4 deg)

  • Sun in Libra trine Mars and the South Node in Aquarius (4 deg)

  • Mercury in Libra conjunct Ceres (9 deg)

  • Saturn in Capricorn conjunct Vesta (2 deg)

Waning Inconjunct

The Waning Inconjunct calls for an adjustment to Monday’s Full Moon in Aries. After that challenging culmination, the inconjunct asks you to ground yourself in the moment. Pause, and remind yourself of what you have right now. There may be an urge to keep compromising or comparing, and while you can’t forget about the balance between you and them, it’s important to stabilize yourself. Take stock of your current resources.

Along with the Waning Inconjunct, the Sun’s trines to Mars and the South Node extend the vibe from yesterday’s Mars/South Node conjunction by energizing that issue (from the past) that’s reached a turning point. The goodbye or moment of liberation will be enabled by your social awareness. This is all about relationship dynamics – what needs to be left behind and what you can build on. Use the inconjunct as a reminder of what’s best for you in this situation.

The Taurus Moon will square Mars and the Nodes, which adds extra emphasis to that issue of personal values, resources or security. It will be challenging to remind yourself of what you have and what’s best for you (there may be resistance from others) but that’s exactly what you must do. Your awareness of what you stand for is essential in achieving an effective balance with others.

Nurturing Words

Mercury/Ceres suggests a truly nurturing conversation where one person listens and the other vents. Or, where there’s an equal exchange of caring words. Excellent for any kind of discussion with a counselling vibe, but remember that Libra is an Air sign. This means objectivity. It’s not about intense revelations and intimate confessions – Mercury in Libra can be receptive to anything as long as the delivery is light and there’s room to step back and process what’s being shared.

Absolute Focus

Saturn/Vesta cranks up the focus on a rule, tradition or limit. Vesta’s devotion to an issue is severely defined by Saturn – there’s a sense of unshakable commitment or unblinking concentration. This can be positive or negative, depending on what the focus is.

  • Sun in Libra square Vesta and Saturn in Capricorn (2 deg)

  • Chiron Rx re- enters Pisces

Vesta/Saturn

Vesta’s focus and Saturn’s limits indicate a hard point. There’s an area that’s demanding your absolute attention, and the responsibilities associated with it will be quite rigid. The square to the Libra Sun suggests this may feel unfair and unbalanced, with restrictions on certain social connections. Perhaps there are some relationship rules that must be obeyed.

You can’t fight Saturn – sometimes you just have to go along with program. Nonetheless, remember that Vesta’s focus can become so extreme that you lose sight of everything else. If you can, take a moment and step back from the relationship issue; it’s possible that your extreme concentration is tipping the balance in a certain direction.

This aspect is connected to yesterday’s Full Moon.

Chiron

Chiron’s return to Pisces is a reminder that you can still forgive or say goodbye. Even as you revisit a wound from April 2018, this time it’s about easing away those last bits of discomfort. The wound won’t vanish, but you’re being given a chance to accept a loss or area of pain. The acceptance is for you (not them) – you can’t move forward if you hang onto bitterness or rage. You can’t move forward if you refuse to acknowledge that it hurts.

Chiron in Pisces is a chance to temporarily retreat from Chiron in Aries’ fight. You’re shifting gears, maybe pulling back to take a breath. As you pull back, remember to let go.

Chiron will re-enter Aries on February 18th, 2019 and the new battle/new expression of courage will start up again.

September 21st, 2018: Easy Agreements

  • Virgo Sun trine Juno in Taurus (28 deg)

  • Mercury in Virgo trine Juno in Taurus (28 deg)

Coming off of yesterday’s Sun/Mercury conjunction, the trines to Juno suggest that the illumination of crucial details can solidify a partnership. This is excellent energy if you want two people on the same page – the facts will mesh naturally as both parties share their practical knowledge and solutions.

This is about the quiet, easy agreement – what makes sense, what’s been proven and what works for both people. It’s not romantic, but it is reliable.

September 17th, 2018: Vesta and Lilith

  • Vesta reenters Capricorn
  • Black Moon Lilith conjunct the Aquarius South Node (4 deg)

Vesta

Vesta first entered Capricorn on April 1, 2018. Her absolute focus was given an extra shot of absolute in this Saturn-ruled sign. You may have noticed an enhanced concern with or devotion to rules, work, status or tradition. There was no deviating from the track.

She stationed Rx on May 8th (4 deg) and reentered Sagittarius on June 13th. So the focus might have eased up at that point, as you looked back at the bigger picture.

As Vesta returns to Capricorn, it’s time to get serious again. There’s a goal or obligation that’s demanding your full attention. Perhaps a tradition you must devote yourself to. Vesta in Capricorn is about the purity of what’s always been accepted and controlled.

Lilith

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, BML conjunct the South Node adds some karmic weight to her rebellious energy. While she can truly be the outcast or awakener in this sign, the South Node suggests that a major issue is ready to be completed. This could be about the public status of the dangerous woman, or perhaps it’s time for her to step away from the role of outcast and come into the light (Leo North Node) with pride and purpose. No matter how “unacceptable” she is.

Note the contrast between these two influences; ultra- tradition versus rebellion.

September 11th, 2018: Benefits and Limits

  Anders Zorn

Anders Zorn

  • Sun in Virgo sextile Jupiter in Scorpio (18 deg)
  • Sun in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn (18 deg)
  • Saturn in Capricorn square Ceres in Libra (2 deg)

Jupiter/Pluto Benefits

Aspects to the Sun are empowering in a grounded, easy- to- handle way. Jupiter gently expands Virgo’s refinement, specialization and improvement. Pluto intensifies this by pinpointing a mission – there’s something specific that must be fixed or made better. A touch of obsession elevates Virgo’s mundane task or service to something extraordinary. Only the best will do.

Jupiter brings benefits in the guise of good timing (situations will go your way) or extra emotional/financial resources. Excellent for health or work matters.

These energies are further powered up by tomorrow’s exact sextile between Jupiter and Pluto.

Limited Nurturing

However, you’ll also be contending with Saturn/Ceres, which will sharply limit and define an area of nurturing. What you want from someone, or what you’re expected to give, will be blocked. This may be an exchange of services, a partnership or social situation. The give and take (Libra) will be unbalanced, and there may be resentment. Fears or rules could clamp down on loving, helping or looking after others. Not the best day to expect cuddles, and you may find that you don’t have much to give anyway. On the plus side, if you’ve been giving too much, this aspect can help you set those boundaries.

Your best bet is to concentrate on the Jupiter/Pluto action. There’s work to be done and you can elevate a practical task to something special.
