November 18th, 2018: Flow Forward

   Peder Severin Krøyer

  • Waxing Trine between the Pisces Moon and Scorpio Sun (28 deg)

  • Venus in Libra inconjunct Juno Rx in Taurus (25 deg)

The Waxing Trine is a point of integration between transcendence and depth, transpersonal and intense involvement. With this flowing energy you should feel a natural “click” that allows you to move forward through a dark, consuming or powerful issue with a measure of calm. The Moon in Pisces is about allowing – what will be, will be. Notice the gentle release as events move as they are meant to, and you open yourself up to whatever comes next.

The Venus/Juno inconjunct is the third of three (September 1st and November 3rd being the first two). With this aspect, you have continually confronted a disconnect between set agreements about resources/security (Juno in Taurus) versus one partner’s desire for more equality or flexibility. Maybe one partner wanted more of a partnership while the other was content with things the way they were.

Now with this final confrontation, use the flow of the Waxing Trine to move forward. Intimacy is integrated with acceptance, and control is no longer an issue.

November 17th, 2018: Sun Opposite Juno Rx in Taurus

  • Sun in Scorpio opposite Juno Rx in Taurus (25 deg)

Juno Rx in Taurus is a review of the essentials in a relationship agreement – the security basics, the desire for stability, the money. When the Sun opposes Juno Rx, we see a possible ending or result brought on by that review. The Sun will illuminate a key issue from the depths of Scorpio (the stuff beneath the surface) and since Juno has been Rx in Taurus since October 24th, part of the agreement/contract is ready to be unearthed.

Taurus is the secure foundation and routine. Scorpio is the depths and the death/rebirth of that routine. Today we dig into the heart of a relationship contract and see what’s really there.

  • Sun in Scorpio sextile Vesta in Capricorn (22 deg)

Sun in Scorpio’s depth is gently enhanced with a sextile to Vesta. Vesta’s focus is applied to an already intense issue, with just a touch of emphasis. Think if this as a gentle nudge to look a bit deeper or consider one more layer.

Focus on or devotion to a particular subject should come naturally and easily – nothing will be forced on you. Good for all matters of exclusive concentration.

  • Uranus Rx in Aries opposite Ceres in Libra (29 deg)

  • Ceres enters Scorpio

  • Sun in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn (19 deg)

Ceres

The Uranus/Ceres opposition in the final degrees of Aries/Libra suggests an abrupt culmination or result involving the cycle of nurturing.

Ceres (the crop goddess) made a deal with Pluto (King of the Underworld) – he would allow her daughter (whom he had taken) to spend part of the year above ground with her mother. The rest of the year her daughter would be below ground.

In Libra, Ceres was about the exchange of nurturing and balanced/unbalanced agreements. The opposition to Uranus could be a final jolt that corrects an imbalance, ends an agreement or radically changes the dynamics regarding who gives what.

This jolt will lead to Ceres’ trip to the underworld (Pluto-ruled Scorpio). Here, we explore what goes on beneath the surface of nurturing – the inevitable loss or ending that is part of every cycle. And, the resulting rebirth/new life. Ceres in Scorpio may demand that you accept a loss before you can experience regeneration. You may be confronted with the Shadow side of nurturing (the desire for control, the fear of letting go) while also looking at who has the power in certain agreements (Ceres-type agreements involve primal issues that feel like survival). You can also discover power/resilience that you didn’t know you had – buried resources that allow you to move forward, through the cycle.

Ceres will exit Scorpio for Sagittarius on January 25th, 2019.

Sun/Pluto

Adding emphasis to today’s Scorpio flavour, the Scorpio Sun makes a sextile to Pluto. Here is a soft spotlight on an issue of power or transformation. The sextile is a gentle aspect, so the power/evolution that’s highlighted can be expressed effectively but harmoniously. Perhaps the “death” will arrive quietly, or the change you have to accept will manifest easily. Sun/Pluto does indicate the power to permanently transform a situation.

This is also an aspect of success (in business or finances) but with the Ceres influence it would seem that you need to make a strategic agreement, perhaps where you give up some control (to gain what you want).

  • Mars in Aquarius square Juno Rx in Taurus (27 deg)

  • Ceres in Libra square the South Node in Capricorn/North Node in Cancer (29 deg)

Today we have two squares that will provide motivating crises. No one likes tension, but that’s how change happens.

Mars/Juno

The Mars/Juno square indicates a confrontation between set relationship agreements versus disruptive or independent actions. One partner may want to keep things the same while the other wants their freedom, or is agitating for change.

This is the second of two squares. The first square occured on July 16th, 2018 when Mars was Rx and Juno was direct (at 6 deg). At that time, actions were being reviewed and revised. Now that Juno is Rx, the terms of the agreement/commitment may be up for revision.

Mars square Juno can indicate relationship conflict, but if a partnership has stagnated, this final square should shake things up.

Ceres

Ceres in the final degree of Libra squares the Nodes, newly entered into Capricorn/Cancer. A one-on-one (or one-sided) exchange of nurturing is at a tipping point. A square to the Nodes means this is a key issue that needs to be resolved before you can move forward. So there may be old rules/responsibilities (Capricorn South Node) that need to be revised (or left behind) before you can arrive at an authentic form of nurturing where needs (for both people) are met (Cancer North Node).

Parental issues are very strong here. Ceres is mother’s nurturing, Capricorn is the father and Cancer is the mother/child. What’s happening with the family dynamics? There’s a definite shift here – the way nurturing/care is being applied is up for a major change. Perhaps the caregiver/patient relationship is being redefined. Or, maybe your responsibilities as a caregiver/mother need attention.

When Libra is involved, you’re going from one end of the scales to the other, and ultimately you want to find that balance point.

November 7th, 2018: Flow and Obsession

  • Jupiter in Scorpio trine the North Node in Cancer (29 deg)

  • Pluto in Capricorn conjunct Vesta (19 deg)

The North Node newly arrived in Cancer gets a boost from Jupiter. A situation can expand naturally in such a way that you are guided towards the most authentic, emotional direction. It may feel good (Jupiter) to move forward and honour your needs – go for it!

This aspect is part of a Grand Water Trine which includes Jupiter’s trine to Chiron Rx in Pisces (exact on Nov 1st). Ahead lies healing, release and easy access to what feels best.

This trine accompanies today’s Scorpio New Moon which rules the North Node and trines Neptune. Watch for an area of easy flow – something should be unfolding without any effort.

Pluto/Vesta indicates extreme, perhaps obsessive, focus. There may be a rigid (Capricorn) insistence on digging to the bottom of an issue (Pluto penetrates). This can be good if you’re researching or searching for a truth. But it can also blind you to what’s around you – Vesta is devoted focus, and when combined with Pluto, that devotion goes over the top.

Pick your focus carefully, and consider that Pluto rules this New Moon – are you diving into a new obsession? Depending on the subject matter, this new beginning could be a powerful, positive new chapter that’s fuelled by your intensive commitment.

November 5th, 2018: Libra Strategies and Nurturing

  • Venus Rx in Libra conjunct Ceres (27 deg)

  • Pallas in Libra trine the Aquarius South Node (0 deg)

It’s a Libra day – look, listen and tune into the exchange of energy between you and another.

Venus Rx/Ceres can be a moment of truly balanced nurturing, or an understanding of what the other person wants. The re-evaluation of give and take in a relationship can lead to the correction of an imbalance (where one person is doing all the giving) or insight into how you can give unconditionally.

Nurturing is not an easy task. Sometimes you give when it’s not wanted. Sometimes you expect thanks and none is given. Or sometimes you want to help and you just don’t know how. This influence can address these issues, and your awareness of the dynamics between you and another will be key.

Pallas, newly into Libra, trines the South Node. An issue from the past (involving alienation, freedom or detachment) can be smoothly addressed with some balanced strategies. The solution should emerge easily – this will be about paying attention to the interplay between you and another. Check your strategies.

November 4th, 2018: Pallas Enters Libra

 pexels

Pallas enters Libra on November 4th, 2018. Strategies will be focused on social niceties – polite, indirect words can be used as effective weapons. Saying the right thing can get you what you want and grace will win the battle.

Pallas is named after Pallas Athena, the warrior goddess, so she always involves competitiveness and a win. Libra can be extremely competitive, but not in an obvious way. So this transit might in usher in a few months of covert competitiveness. Pallas can also emphasize imbalances such as recurring patterns of codependency or jealousy.

What strategies do have to combat these issues?

Pallas will station Rx on Feb 18th, 2019 at 29 degrees. She will pause at the very last degree and retrace her steps to 10 deg, where she will station direct on May 30th. This suggests a complete overhaul of a relationship strategy. When you get to this point, consider how your relationship strategies are working for you. If you don’t know what they are, consider what you do to get what you want, connect or make a certain impression.

We all have social strategies, whether or not we’re aware of them. Some are effective and some are destructive. Pallas encourages you to look at your patterns.

Pallas will exit Libra for Scorpio on August 26th, 2019.

November 3rd, 2018: Yod to Venus Rx

  • Venus Rx in Libra inconjunct Juno Rx in Taurus (28 deg)

  • Venus Rx in Libra inconjunct Chiron Rx in Pisces (28 deg)

  • Juno Rx in Taurus sextile Chiron Rx in Pisces (28 deg)

There’s an unusual configuration in the sky today, called a Yod. It features inconjuncts, which are aspects of incompatibility.

Juno/Venus indicates incompatibility between the desire for a balanced/harmonious relationship versus the focus on one partner’s “me first” baseline needs. The agreement/commitment (Juno) does not mesh with the actual exchange. Chiron/Venus indicates incompatibility between addressing the wound versus keeping it light and happy.

But Chiron and Juno make a harmonious sextile with each other, so the fixed/predictable aspects of this agreement can be a good basis for revisiting that sore spot – it will be safe to address what hurts, if the relationship itself remains secure.

And yet, the tension of two inconjuncts pointing at Venus (making her the focal point) means a key imbalance, exchange or surface issue must be addressed. It will be quite uncomfortable. Somehow, Juno and Chiron’s energies must be integrated with Venus. A balance must be achieved between fixed security versus compromise and confronting a sensitivity versus keeping things harmonious.

Everything is Rx, so this entire issue is not new. You’re revisiting the agreement/commitment and addressing what’s out of whack. Watch for a key issue around incompatibility or unhappiness. You may be tempted to back off, but this is actually a prompt to address the issue. Yods are not fun, but if approached correctly, the payoff can be satisfying. Having said this, relationships are likely to be troublesome and awkward today.

When dealing with inconjuncts, the key is adjustment – both sides must be worked with (it’s a balancing act).

November 2nd, 2018: Waning Sextile and Jupiter Opposes Juno

   Antonio Ambrogio Alciati

Antonio Ambrogio Alciati

  • Scorpio Sun square Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (9 deg)

  • Waning Sextile between the Virgo Moon and Scorpio Sun (10 deg)

  • Jupiter in Scorpio opposite Juno Rx in Taurus (28 deg)

Waning Sextile

The Sun/BML square shines a dark light on female empowerment, rebellion and alienation. Being on the outside for not acting the way a woman “should” or for expressing taboo issues of female sexuality may be themes, with a tension that encourages the expression of ego and purpose. This can trigger the expression of woman’s power, but it won’t be easy and there will be a lot of resistance from others. BML’s destructive side (jealousy/vengeance) may come out.

Fortunately, this aspect is also part of the Waning Sextile with the Virgo Moon, which offers solutions via subtle refinements and attention to detail. You can make things better and progress naturally if you’re aware of the little things – the seemingly inconsequential but important words, the small but vital adjustments/improvements that need to be made. Overall, your goal is to take what’s dark/intense/taboo and refine it.

Jupiter/Juno

The Jupiter/Juno opposition presents the second of two oppositions in Scorpio/Taurus. Juno was Jupiter’s wife, and she was faithful to him despite his consistent philandering. Especially in the Fixed sign of Taurus, she represents the unshakable commitment.

When she opposes Jupiter, the ideals of/desire for expansion in that commitment will be at odds with the agreement itself. This is a key turning point between partners, but it’s not new -the issue may have emerged around August 3rd with the first opposition. One partner may be after deep transformation of the partnership while the other wants things to remain as is. This final opposition (with Juno Rx) suggests a re-evaluation of what was previously fixed. Material resources, set routines or security may be issues.

In general terms, this can represent a massive change or ending in any agreement (personal or professional). The enduring partnership must evolve or die.
