  • Mercury in Leo trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (1 deg)

Bold statements/ideas are nurtured by exploration. This is about having faith (Sagittarius) in what you’re communicating, or forging ahead with the growth of a creative idea. This energy is confident and outgoing, and Mercury/Ceres suggests information about growth, women/children or food.

However, this is the first of three trines between Mercury and Ceres, due to Mercury’s Rx:

  • Jul 18th: Mercury Rx in Leo trine Ceres in Sag (0 deg)

  • Aug 14th: Mercury in Leo trine Ceres in Sag (2 deg)

The conversation, plan or course of learning has only just begun. There will be revisions/delays, with progress in August. But start the discussion now – it’s a process.

June 25th, 2019: Last Quarter Square and a Grand Trine

Last Quarter.jpg

  • Moon in Aries trine Juno in Leo (2 deg)

  • Moon in Aries trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Last Quarter Square between the Aries Moon and Cancer Sun (3 deg)

  • Moon conjunct Chiron (5 deg)

  • Juno in Leo trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

Last Quarter Square

Here we have a crisis between strength and vulnerability. You were safe, relying on what was familiar. But that’s starting to feel suffocating, and a restless impulse emerges to assertively question family or security. This may be a brand new issue, and the Moon’s conjunction to Chiron indicates that it will involve an uncomfortable mix of putting yourself out there (Aries) while being vulnerable. Perhaps there’s a family wound that needs to be confronted.

Grand Fire Trine

But the Moon is also part of a Grand Fire Trine involving Juno (partnership agreements) and Ceres (nurturing). So there’s a smooth flow of vibrant, confident energy that encourages bold questions and confrontations. Juno trine Ceres is the nurturing agreement which encourages pride and confidence between partners. If we add in Moon/Chiron, it suggests support (via this agreement) for these new questions that make you feel vulnerable. Or, perhaps there can be an agreement to confront the uncomfortable stuff.

Either way, you can tap into this energy to help you through the tension of the Last Quarter Square.

  • Venus in Gemini inconjunct the Capricorn South Node (17 deg)

  • Venus in Gemini inconjunct Saturn Rx in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Venus in Gemini opposite Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (17 deg)

  • Uranus in Taurus conjunct Vesta (5 deg)

  • Uranus and Vesta sextile Black Moon Lilith in Pisces ( 5 deg)

Venus

Venus/Jupiter can exaggerate what you want – there may appear to be more choices regarding a financial, relationship or value issue. And they will be exuberant and tempting. But some of those choices will be unwise, as Jupiter retrograde asks you to review before you say “yes.” And Venus’ inconjuncts to the South Node and Saturn Rx insist that a rule/limit from the past will narrow your choices. So really, you may only have one, viable option. The brakes will be applied and that issue from the past will not be ignored.

Uranus

Uranus/Vesta adds urgency to an area of focus. Vesta is the ultimate focus/sacred flame, and Uranus suggests a sudden shot of devotion; an all-or-nothing, extreme jolt that clarifies what has the most value (Taurus). This will include old values/resources/habits being blown away.

The sextile to BML suggests this will involve some taboo, possibly magical/transcendent expressions of female energy. One of Lilith’s manifestations is the witch, and this is emphasized in Pisces, the sign that lies beyond reality. Here we have a wake-up call about what/who is essential, even if she’s “forbidden.”

Vesta is purity and BML is dark, raw sexuality (the prostitute, the other woman, the woman who belongs to no one). When they harmonize, what’s socially forbidden becomes a path to personal enlightenment and discipline (Vesta is untouchable in her own way – she also belongs to no one but herself).

Add Uranus’s liberation, and you have a whole new set of values and security at your fingertips.

Summary

So, if we consider Uranus/Vesta/BML and the aspects to Venus (also female energy and the ruler of Taurus) a picture emerges- you’re questioning what sounds/looks good regarding love and values. Is it hollow? At the same time, there’s one, undeniable choice. You’re not stuck in the past, but you are paying attention to what came before so you don’t make the same mistakes. Or maybe there’s an ongoing responsibility/tradition that still has value.

Either way, Uranus/Vesta in Taurus insists that part of this is about devoting yourself to a new goddess – a new expression of female energy/values (whether you’re a man or woman) who cracks the Saturn whip.

Juno’s Transit of Leo

  • Transiting Juno enters Leo

Partnership agreements are expressed through the sign of pride, recognition, creativity and joy. This transit urges you to look at all your contracts and agreements (romantic and otherwise) to see if they make you proud.

Questions to ask yourself during this transit:

  • Do you feel free to express your true self in your relationship?

  • Does your partner encourage your talents or sense of playfulness?

  • Are you proud to tell others “This is my partner”?

As the “marriage asteroid” Juno is associated with fidelity, especially in the face of challenges (Juno remained faithful to Jupiter no matter how many mortals he fooled around with). But Leo is sometimes associated with affairs – despite its fixed nature, its childlike qualities and craving for constant attention and risk (this is also the sign of gambling) means certain partnerships may be confronted with challenges to fidelity. This is more likely to happen if one or both partners are bored, immature or unappreciated.

In general, this transit encourages the exploration of playfulness and pride in relationships. New agreements that manifest may be about who gets the spotlight.

Juno exits Leo for Virgo on August 23rd.

June 17th, 2019: Vesta Inconjunct Ceres Rx

  • Vesta in Taurus inconjunct Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (3 deg)

Vesta’s focus on gradual growth clashes with Ceres in Sag’s adventurous growth. Ceres in Sag wants to bloom into a new area while Vesta in Taurus concentrates on what’s familiar.

Ceres is Rx, so you’re returning to this issue (which may involve travel, education, exploration, faith or religion). As you return, you run into something that’s fixed and cautious – resources, security or habits that pull you away from that area of exploration.

Ceres is about mother’s nurturing and cycles of loss and rebirth (in expansive Sag). Taurus is about fertility and stability (Vesta makes this a sacred issue). While these two issues may be at odds, the inconjunct asks that you find a way to make them both work. Ground yourself in what’s sacred as you re-examine what Ceres in Sag has to offer. Consider the common thread between Taurus and Ceres – what two areas of your life involve fertility in a literal or metaphorical sense?
