  • Sun in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Vesta enters Taurus

Sun/Neptune can blur your focus and scatter your sense of purpose. Choices can multiply beyond what is reasonable, and some or all of what you have to choose from may be an illusion. You could be undermined by what’s happening or you could get caught up in a lie or meaningless distraction.

The best way to handle this influence is to accept that much of what you see and hear will probably be false or completely divorced from reality. If you’re struggling with focus, purpose and ego, today might be a good day to rest and just allow the various options to drift in front of you. Wait to see what sticks and what dissolves.

What can counteract the above is Vesta’s move into grounded Taurus. Vesta is supreme focus and sacred energy. In Taurus, that focus is trained on what’s real and valuable – what you can touch, what works, what’s secure. While Vesta’s obsessive focus can become blinkered in this stubborn sign, for today it’s a nice way to balance out any confusion from Sun/Neptune. If you’re getting lost, pay attention to an area that involves earned money, self-esteem, resources, physical issues or fertility/growth. What’s happening there? What’s non-negotiable and absolutely sacred? That’s your bottom line.

Vesta will have an extended run in Taurus, stationing Rx on Sept 23rd at 27 deg and direct on Dec 29th at 12 deg. 12 to 27 deg Taurus in your chart will be quadrupled underlined – your attention will be driven there, again and again.

She will exit Taurus for Gemini on Mar 21st, 2020.

  • Mercury in Cancer trine Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (3 deg)

  • Pluto Rx in Capricorn opposite Juno in Cancer (22 deg)

  • Chiron in Aries trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (5 deg)

Mercury/BML

Lilith finds an outlet for her message. Her slippery, dangerous undercurrent of taboo female sexuallity can be verbalized in a way that’s personal – everyone who hears her message will apply it to themselves in some way, for the better. Excellent for triggering empathy or delving into your own BML issues via family discussions.

Pluto Rx /Juno

A major transformation to a relationship agreement brings you to a turning point or ending. This can be the “death” of contract or a confrontation that triggers fear of loss and the resulting refusal to let go (or an unbalanced expression of power as one partner attempts to dominate). Pluto will intensify all dynamics because subconscious issues are dredged up. Don’t’ expect a logical discussion but do look for truths to emerge. Pluto is Rx, so you and another are returning to this issue.

Chiron/Ceres Rx

Expanded nurturing, or the nurturing of a quest/new area of learning/faith can help you address certain wounds. Chiron in Aries is the vulnerability of true courage, or having the courage to be the pioneer while others turn away. The trine to Ceres Rx encourages you to keep moving forward into unknown territory. Ceres is Rx, so you may be revisiting this issue (perhaps you’ve contemplated this before).

  • Mercury in Gemini sextile Vesta in Aries (27 deg)

Mercury is the ruler of today’s Gemini New Moon so this aspect is particularly relevant.

Vesta is the ultimate or sacred focus. In Aries, it’s focus on self, on something new/passionate. Gently supported by Mercury, here’s a hint that can help you decide which of the multiple choices holds the most promise.

This won’t be a super strong influence, but there will be a nudge in a certain direction- look at what’s most vital or courageous. It will probably be new and may have urgency. This is what you want to choose.

June 1st, 2019: The Challenge of Relationship Growth

Jupiter Yod.jpg

  • Venus in Taurus inconjunct Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (20 deg)

  • Juno in Cancer inconjunct Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (20 deg)

Today we have a Yod, an awkward configuration that puts pressure on a focal point. In this case, the focal point is Jupiter Rx – expansion is the challenging issue but also the goal.

Venus inconjunct Jupiter shows incompatibility between fixed relationship issues versus expansion and Juno inconjunct Jupiter is incompatibility between safe/secure relationship agreements versus expansion. Venus and Juno harmonize with each other by creating a cozy, predictable partnership. But the corresponding pull outwards must be accounted for.

One or both partners may not want change – perhaps it’s difficult to get out of a relationship rut. Change can be threatening, but Jupiter is Rx so this is not a new scenario. It’s time to venture forward while maintaining that secure base. Hard aspects to Jupiter can also lead to exaggeration, so there’s a risk of taking this too far by getting caught up in unrealistic ideals and agreements. Aim for steady growth.

If you look at the chart, you’ll see the Moon conjoins Venus and the Cancer North Node (ruled by the Moon) conjoins Juno. That lunar energy of safety, nurturing and familiarity is strong and is part of the North Node path forward. But in this case, sticking with what’s familiar and ignoring that returning issue of expansion will throw you off track. It will feel uncomfortable, but growth is not always comfortable.

May 31st, 2019: The Quiet Commitment

  • Venus in Taurus trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn (19 deg)

  • Venus in Taurus sextile Juno in Cancer (20 deg)

Venus/Saturn is the solid commitment to what you want (financially or emotionally). It’s not showy or romantic, but it does confirm something that you have been working on. Your discipline and focus can deliver quiet rewards today, and Venus/Juno adds a bit of encouragement – that emotional relationship agreement can be stabilized.

This is quiet but real. It’s entirely dependent on the work you have put in so far, and the rules/responsibilities you are revisiting. Not so attractive for those who want something tingly, but very nice for those who crave what’s reliable.

  • Mercury in Gemini opposite Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (20 deg)

  • Venus in Taurus trine the South Node in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Saturn Rx in Capricorn opposite Juno in Cancer (19 deg)

Mercury/Jupiter

Something will sound really good, but the facts are contrary to hopes/ideals. Any aspect to Jupiter can be positive, and an opposition can sometimes point to an expansive result. Plus, Jupiter is Rx so you’re returning to this issue. But Mercury opposite Jupiter can mean unrealistic promises or difficulty focusing on a specific fact because the conviction that you’re right (no matter what the facts say) pulls you away from the information.

This is the aspect of big talk and massive opinions, but accuracy will be in question.

Venus/South Node

In contrast to the above, this is a quietly reassuring aspect. You can depend on something/someone from the past. Or, a habit/tradition is favourable. Now, this may or may not be the best thing- maybe you’re enabling a not-so-healthy habit or association because it delivers the goods. Consider if the familiarity of this issue is stabilizing or stagnating.

Saturn/Juno

A return to, or emphasis on, rules/commitments will restrict a nurturing agreement. Juno in Cancer is the relationship agreement that values security, but the opposition to Saturn Rx suggests restrictions and a lack of empathy. How rigid are those rules? Are you ready to restrict yourself in favour of someone else’s authority? Parental dynamics are prominent.

In some cases, this aspect can point to the end of agreement or an official separation.

May 28th, 2019: Questions About Nurturing and a New Agreement

Sergei Gribkov

Sergei Gribkov

  • Gemini Sun opposite Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (7 deg)

  • Juno conjunct the Cancer North Node (18 deg)

  • Neptune in Pisces trine Juno (18 deg)

Sun/Ceres

Choices/details are at odds with the bigger picture of growth or escape. An area that you’re trying to grow (involving education, travel, legal matters, publishing or faith/religion) has reached a tense conclusion that feels unsatisfactory.

Gemini raises questions or draws awareness to the other side of the story. In this case, the story involves mother/child issues or something that you are trying to “mother” in your future – there may be questions about the faith you placed in your mother, or your identity as a mother. Ceres is about the cycle of growth, loss and rebirth, so there is always a sub-theme of letting someone go (especially in Sagittarius, the sign of the explorer).

Pay attention to the questions that are being asked about mother/child or the truth about a nurturing issue. The Gemini/Sag axis always involves truth/lies – what’s the story and what are the facts?

Ceres is Rx (retrograde) so you’re returning to this issue.

Juno

There is also some powerful activity in Cancer, another area of nurturing. Cancer puts the focus squarely on home, family and security. Mother/child is a theme once again, but Ceres’ emphasis on loss is not as pronounced.

Ceres in Sag is about nurturing freedom while Cancer is about creating safety.

Juno (relationship agreements) activates the North Node (path forward) and is supported by Neptune. This is positive for a new relationship agreement that is nurturing, supportive and expansive (Neptune). It hints at an agreement that will continue to grow – unconditional support is involved.

So it appears that the Gemini Sun is illuminating an ending or question about one area of nurturing while another is coming into being. What new agreements are on the horizon? What areas of faith need to be questioned?
