February 23rd, 2019: Trust That You’re Moving In The Right Direction

  • Pisces Sun square Juno in Gemini (4 deg)

  • Waning Trine between the Scorpio Moon and Pisces Sun (5 deg)

  • Mercury in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn (22 deg)

Sun/Juno suggests some tension over the choices in an agreement. The facts may shift or one person may be unclear about what they want (and it may be quite difficult to pin them down to one issue).

Fortunately, the Waning Trine promises a smooth flow between intensity and belief, deep commitment and transcendence. If you can step away from the facts and focus on the instinctive flow of where the situation is going, you and another should be able to facilitate an agreement. Logic may simply get in the way – trust and allowance will serve you better (trust that you’re moving in the right direction and allow it to happen).

Mercury (ruler of Gemini) makes a harmonious sextile to Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) which supports the above. Communication that’s honest, compassionate and trusting is where it’s at. Pluto in Capricorn anchors Mercury’s free-floating thoughts, helping you manifest a vague hint or idea. Mercury also activates yesterday’s Venus/Pluto conjunction, allowing you to step back from the overblown promises of the Mercury/Jupiter square and focus on what has authentic value.

Put what matters most into words and ignore the excess.

February 22nd, 2019: High Stakes

  • Mercury in Pisces square Jupiter in Sagittarius (21 deg)

  • Venus in Capricorn conjunct Pluto (22 deg)

An intense day with high stakes.

Jupiter stretches Mercury in Pisces’ fluid boundaries so anything seems possible and something can sound very, very good. Imagination is limitless, promises will be grand and visions will look amazing.

Potential does exist here, but there are a couple of cautions. A square to Jupiter always means exaggeration. There’s a crisis of faith and expansion- too much, too big and the details are overlooked. Plus, this is only the first of three squares (due to Mercury’s upcoming Rx). What you learn or say will not be concrete and there will be more questions. The truth will shift and the story (Jupiter) will dissolve and reform.

March 15th (Mercury Rx) and April 12th are the dates of the next two squares, so be prepared for a lengthy process of questions. Promises that you make or receive will require a second and third look. Disbelief and illusion may undermine faith. You’ll have to sort through the shimmering pictures in order to find the truth.

Venus/Pluto adds some heavy energy to the above – Pluto intensifies what you want/love, so money, relationships and values become all or nothing. Deeper resources can be uncovered and amplified value will be assigned to someone.

Venus/Pluto suggests there is a solid core to today’s events -transformative potential via the power of love or the power of realizing your own worth and self-sufficiency. Pluto also reveals the truth behind what you want as you confront rules and responsibilities (Capricorn). This could be a profound commitment; focus on the core potential and remember this as you work through the Mercury/Jupiter squares. Keep reminding yourself of what you really want.

February 19th, 2019: Mercury Conjunct Neptune

  • Mercury in Pisces conjunct Neptune (15 deg)

  • Mercury in Pisces sextile Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)

Mercury/Neptune is the first of three conjunctions, due to Mercury’s upcoming Rx (see this post for dates and degrees).

Neptune can expand Mercury’s information (more is possible) but it can also undermine and blur the facts. You may “see” something extra or think you have the whole story, but know that what you learn today is only the beginning. You’ll be revisiting this issue until April – facts will morph and what’s true or false will not be clear.

For now, remain open to what you learn. It’s important, even if you don’t know if it’s real. Consider it to be the first layer of a more complex issue. And, know that Mercury’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile means that a sacrifice will be put into words. Not a huge sacrifice, mind you. But an acceptance of a certain reality (Saturn) that involves quiet understanding and release.

If you can maintain your focus (Saturn) on the higher goal (what’s most important, what you’re trying to accomplish) rather than trying to define or understand everything right away, you’ll find this influence easier to deal with. Allow the shifting details to flow around you and keep your eye on the end game. Accept what you can’t understand and what you have to give up in order to manifest what’s important to you.

February 13th, 2019: Burning

  • Mercury in Pisces square Ceres in Sagittarius (5 deg)

  • Mercury in Pisces conjunct Vesta (5 deg)

  • Mars in Aries conjunct Uranus (29 deg)

  • Mars in Aries opposite Pallas in Libra (29 deg)

Mercury/Vesta

The Mercury/Vesta conjunction activates yesterday’s Vesta/Ceres square.

“Vesta in Pisces wants to withdraw and contemplate while Ceres in Sag wants to overwhelm with expansive care and protection. Vesta in Pisces is pure and spiritual (or magical) while Ceres in Sag can trample over sensitivities in the rush to nurture (and the rush to do what’s best).”

Mercury/Vesta indicates absolute focus on a spiritual idea or a dream – gazing at what can’t be fully seen or devoting yourself to a compassionate/ethereal concept. Meditating on the whisper. The square to Ceres suggests this information will clash with expansive (and loud) attempts at nurturing. Someone may be saying “No” to caring efforts or disagreeing with a philosophy of mothering. Basically, yesterday’s tension is put into words as the quiet voice disagrees with the bold proclamation of nurturing.

Mars/Uranus

The Mars/Uranus conjunction in the final degree of Aries indicates a last chance to break away, fight or escape. This volatile energy demands freedom to act but it’s easy to get carried away and take unwise risks.

Something needs to end (or be ignited) but remember that this energy can be accident-prone if mishandled. Impulse control is nonexistent. The opposition to Pallas suggests sudden actions will disrupt a social or relationship strategy. There may be impatience with the polite approach or a powerful desire to burn through the niceties and assert the truth/your will.

There’s potential for positive and negative here. Much depends on what’s being burnt away. Carefully consider what you’re asserting and why. Is it really necessary to burn that bridge? It might be, but know that what you set fire to will be gone for good – even if you’re igniting a new beginning, the fuel will be artifacts from the past.

Combined with Mercury/Vesta’s focus, we have an interesting mix of hot and cool. Calm and agitated. Actions are incendiary but thoughts and words can help you see beyond the heat or anger. Pay attention to the quiet voice – what’s it saying?

February 10th, 2019: Move Forward and Keep Talking

  • Waxing Sextile between the Aries Moon and Aquarius Sun (21 deg)

  • Mercury in Aquarius square Juno in Taurus (29 deg)

  • Juno enters Gemini

The Waxing Sextile encourages you to start something new. It’s time to step into uncharted territory or break a couple of rules, but no one is going to push you. The opportunity is there and it may seem inconsequential, but don’t overlook it. Take one step forward and recognize how natural it feels.

This step forward can help you deal with the Mercury/Juno square. Mercury’s unconventional ideas/words will clash with Juno’s fixed partnership agreement. One person may be ready for something new while the other person wants things to remain as they are.

Well, it’s time for change and this is illustrated by Juno’s Gemini ingress, a few hours after this square. Juno into Gemini indicates that agreements and commitments can become more flexible as multiple options unfold. There’s more than one way to commit and open communication (Gemini is ruled by Mercury) will be key.

However, the tension with Mercury will continue as it enters Pisces on this day and (due to its Rx) repeats the square with Juno on March 24th and April 14th. More choices indicate that there’s more to discuss, but also more to disagree about. Accept that this will be an ongoing issue until April and be prepared to keep talking.

Mercury’s Transit of Pisces and Mercury Retrograde

Mercury enters Pisces on February 10th, and communication/thoughts become fluid. Logic is less important now than hint and imagination. Intuition is pronounced but so is delusion. The line between truth and lies is blurred.

Mercury in Pisces can open your mind to new possibilities, but whether they’re real or not remains to be seen. This can be a highly creative and empathetic transit – depending on how sensitive you are, you may have trouble differentiating between your thoughts and their thoughts. Strengthen your mental boundaries- if you already pick up on what others are thinking, this transit can emphasize that spongelike tendency.

The story will shift several times during this transit, especially since Mercury will station Rx at 29 deg Pisces. Mercury will make it all the way to the final degree and then reverse, suggesting that a conclusion will almost be reached. But then, you’ll have to look again, ask questions or look behind the veil. Mercury Rx in Pisces can be very slippery – details will be lost and decisions will not be concrete. If you can, wait until Mercury stations direct before you agree or sign. Much of what you first learn may be false or misleading.

Here are the aspects Mercury in Pisces will make:

  • Feb 13th: square Ceres in Sagittarius (5 deg)

  • Feb 13th: conjunct Vesta (6 deg)

  • Feb 19th: conjunct Neptune (15 deg)

  • Feb 19th: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)

  • Feb 22nd: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (21 deg)

  • Feb 23rd: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (22 deg)

  • Feb 26th: trine the Cancer North Node (25 deg)

  • Mar 2nd: inconjunct Pallas Rx in Libra (28 deg)

  • Mar 5th: stations Rx (29 deg)

  • Mar 10th: inconjunct Pallas Rx in Libra (27 deg)

  • Mar 14th: trine the Cancer North Node (24 deg)

  • Mar 14th: conjunct the Sun (24 deg)
