Sun conjunct Venus Rx in Aries: 4 degreesVenus …
A day of hard words and enforced focus.
Mercury/Pluto can bring verbal confrontations, with more going on beneath the surface. Power and domination will be the subtext, but the words may say something different. Look beneath the aggressive, verbal push for the real truth. In some cases, this aspect could signify a crisis resulting from building pressure. If someone is finally speaking up, the words could come out more harshly than intended. Mercury square Pluto goes for the jugular, but the intent is unconscious.
Saturn/Pallas will put limits on intuition and creative strategy. Proof will be demanded. Rules will define the effectiveness of free-flowing solutions. However, sometimes hard focus is exactly what’s needed. This could be crunch time for an unproven idea – make it work, or let it go.

The dust is beginning to settle for your Aries horoscope in 2017 after a few years on the roller coaster. It promises to be a much less traumatic year! In fact this could be the best for your love life in quite some time. You get lucky Jupiter in your marriage house and even Venus Retrograde […]

Aries season kicks off on March 20th. The Sun’s ingress into the first sign marks the Vernal Equinox. The hours of daylight and darkness are equal, tipping over into longer days as we move forward.
Aries already has some significant action happening, with Venus Rx, Mercury, and of course, Uranus. This area of your chart is primed for a reboot, and the first day of spring may trigger it. All the usual symbolism applies: new life, primal impulses and unrefined initiative. This is raw energy, bursting with potential.
This Aries ingress coincides with the last quarter square of the Moon. A few hours after the Sun enters Aries, the Moon at 0 degrees Capricorn will square it. This part of the lunar cycle was described by Dane Rudhyar as a “crisis in consciousness.” Old beliefs are challenged by newly emerging beliefs. Maybe you don’t fit in where you used to fit in. Maybe you find yourself disagreeing with the prevailing beliefs of your family, friends or industry. The discomfort of the square pushes you to find something new – new rules, new structures, new definitions of status (Capricorn).
There may not be an obvious crisis. You might just feel a growing sense of restlessness – an urge to let some fresh air in. Do the usual routines, conversations or interests suddenly feel stale? Venus Rx has already been pushing you to reevaluate. Now the Vernal Equinox will up the stakes – something new is emerging. All the aspects the Aries Sun makes, plus the New and Full Moons, will be points of clarity, intensification or tension that are designed to stimulate progress.
The March 27th New Moon will trigger your emergence from the crisis of the last quarter square. This will be your new idea/direction, and Venus Rx will play an essential role.
Here are the aspects the Sun in Aries will make:
Like mothers, us astrologers are supposed to love all signs equally and not have favourites. Deep down, though, most of us admit to a teeny preference here or there – maybe because it’s the sign of the people we love…
The March 27th New Moon in Aries (7 degrees) conjoins Venus Rx in Aries (3 degrees). It’s obviously a bold new beginning, but it will have more significance than your average Aries New Moon, courtesy of the Venus cycle.
Venus has phases, just like the Moon. As I described in this post , her conjunctions with the Sun mark New or Full phases. The last Sun/Venus conjunction took place on June 6th, 2016, at 16 degrees Gemini. This was her Full phase- a culmination. Her next conjunction will take place on March 25th, 2017, and it will be her New phase. – the start of a new cycle, and the end of what culminated around June 6th. It will also mark the halfway point of her current Rx transit.
So March 25th will be a new beginning involving all the Venus Rx in Aries themes. There should be clarity and fresh passion, based on reviews/intensifications. This will be a turning point, and the New Moon can be seen as an extension of this. Really, March 25th to 27th is the fresh-start zone. Appropriately, Mercury in Aries will conjoin Uranus (23 degrees) on March 26th. This will be the message that slaps you into awareness, or shocks you with inspiration. It won’t be subtle or polite.
Yes, it’s possible to have new beginnings during an Rx period. The actual issue (love, money, self-esteem, values) will not be brand new, but your approach will be. Or should be. This Moon/Venus Rx may expose new potential in something you’re revisiting. Maybe you give it one more shot, and this time…voilà. Or, you see what you really want in an existing situation. This is where you put yourself first (finally).
The theme of this New Moon will be renewed passion. Reinvigorated love for life. Sure, it could be about your feelings for someone. But it could just as easily be your passion for your career, your art, your identity, your self-esteem. You’ll be realizing that____ is what really makes you happy. This is what you love. And that’s L-O-V-E. Not like, accept, settle for, tolerate. “It’s ok”is not going to cut it.
