  • Mars in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn (20°)

  • Venus in Sagittarius inconjunct Uranus RX in Taurus (4°)

The crisis between external actions (Mars) versus internal motivations (Pluto) can trigger extreme reactions: anger, obsession or aggression will be intensified.

Actions may be polite (Libra) on the surface, but there will be an undercurrent of something darker. Efforts to manipulate, gain power or strike back will be indirect, but don’t be fooled.

Whether you’re reacting, or you’re on the receiving end, it can help if you tune in to what’s going on beneath the surface. What are the real motivations? Surface actions will be a distorted version of those.

Pay special attention to extreme power imbalances (Libra). Efforts to dominate or fight back against domination will be based on Pluto’s life-or-death vibe. The actual situation is usually not life threatening, but Pluto has a way of amplifying those survival urges.

Meanwhile, Venus (ruler of Libra) will make an awkward inconjunct to Uranus. Exploring new and expansive areas in relationships, finances, creative opportunities or personal values can attract some unexpected and disruptive results. Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus is about the update to fixed financial or security habits. The resulting insecurity/impatience can trigger unwise risks.

Going back to Mars in Libra (square Pluto), we can see how intensely frustrating or hostile moments can trigger radical urges for escape (Sagittarius). Overall, you want to carefully consider your responses rather than blindly reacting. Don’t be someone’s puppet by dancing to their manipulative tune. And don’t be controlled by your Shadow issues-jealousy, resentment, fear of loss, unacknowledged anger.

Maintaining your awareness is your best bet to maintaining your balance, even if you’re confronted with a ferociously unfair situation. That means acting in a way that’s as fair as possible while acknowledging your anger over what’s unfair.

November 3rd, 2019: Venus Trine Chiron, Juno Into Libra

  • Venus in Sagittarius trine Chiron RX in Aries (2°)

  • Juno enters Libra

Venus/Chiron is upbeat and healing energy. Exploring new areas of what you want or love can help you deal with wounds in a natural, unforced way. Independence, courage and faith in the future are emphasized; don’t be afraid to take a chance on something desirable. You may find that your vulnerabilities or differences fuel exploration and even add to your appeal.

Juno is comfortable in Libra, the sign of partnerships. One-on-one agreements and issues of fidelity can be explored with detached fairness. Equality in agreements will be very important. But if there are any imbalances in a relationship, this transit can bring them to light.

Consider if you’re a partner or subordinate.

Note that Juno will station retrograde in Libra, so she will be in this sign for an unusually long time (until September 2020, dates and degrees below). This tells us that there are some significant Issues around partnership power balances that need to be worked out.

Venus’ Transit of Sagittarius

Venus enters Sagittarius on November 1st at 4:24PM EDT. Relationships, finances and values call for an open-minded approach to the future. You’re turning towards the horizon: what’s next?

This transit is about exploring opportunities. If it’s different, exotic or hopeful and you think this could be something you want, it’s Venus in Sag. This energy is excellent for broadening your perspective on love and self-esteem (you are worth more and you can attract more). It can also indicate matters of justice, wisdom or religion applied to Venus themes: what’s true, what’s legal and where can you put your faith.

Keeping in mind that Mercury stationed RX in Scorpio on October 31st, there’s a contrast between internal reviews and investigations (the past) versus external expansion and attraction of what you want (the future). When you combine the two, you peer into the background of a situation while expanding its potential.

Sagittarius is the sign of truth and knowledge, and of course Mercury backing through Scorpio will take you on an intense, intellectual journey. There’s an opportunity to gain tremendous understanding about a Venus issue. Maybe you uncover secrets that give you fresh perspective and truth about your love-life. Maybe you do some research about shared finances and uncover valuable resources that you can expand on. Maybe you have the taboo conversation that teaches you more about what you want, leading to increased freedom.

This is a time of truths that are uncomfortable (Scorpio) but expansive (Sag).

Here are the aspects Venus will make (Venus will enter Capricorn on November 25th).

October 30th, 2019: Mercury Conjunct Venus

  • Mercury in Scorpio conjunct Venus (27°)

Words are deeply seductive and magnetic, or thoughts can zero in on what you really, really want. Buried or taboo desires are defined and given a voice, so this is great for clarifying essential details about relationships, finances, intimacy or values. Perhaps something secret is finally being communicated.

But note that Mercury will station retrograde at this degree on October 31st. So there are more layers to uncover or reasons to pause and reconsider what’s been said.

Don’t disregard this aspect, because it’s potent and truthful. But do keep in mind that much more will be revealed. Wait for the level below the words to be exposed. And then the next level, and the next…

October 29th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Pallas

  • Venus in Scorpio conjunct Pallas (25°)

This is the aspect of deep or secretive relationship strategies. Pallas (named after Pallas Athena, the warrior goddess of wisdom) is all about strategy, seeing patterns, connecting the dots and fighting certain battles. When she unites with ultra- feminine Venus in Scorpio, we have strategic and seductive energy that is focused on attracting exactly what you want.

There is nothing innocent about this, but that’s not a bad thing. While it can be manipulative if misused, it’s really about accessing your deepest resources (financial or emotional) and using that raw, possibly taboo, power to get what you want. Scorpio is about survival, so the stakes may be high (even if it’s not literal life and death).

This aspect gives you an opportunity to use your intuitive wisdom. There may be a sexual undertone here-is an intimate relationship the place for strategy? In some cases, yes. Sometimes you need to plan what you’re going to give and what you’re going to keep. If this is about shared finances, the same issues apply. Look at where you’re vulnerable and where your power lies.

Venus/Pallas attracts by focusing on the pattern that serves her best.
