  • Moon in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus (5 deg)

  • Moon in Cancer trine Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (6 deg)

  • New Moon eclipse at 3:16 pm EDT (10 deg)

Leading up to the eclipse this afternoon, we have a Moon/Chiron square. Here is an “ouch” that may be quite private, since it’s occurring during the dark Moon (the time just before the New Moon). This may be a moment for deeply personal contemplations of family wounds, or you may simply be feeling extra vulnerable.

The Moon’s sextile to Uranus (liberation) and trine to BML (taboo female energy) can provide some gentle encouragement that it’s ok to be different – to be an outsider. Not only is it ok, it’s high time that you embraced your differences, even if this means breaking away from family (or redefining your position within the family). New values and definitions of self-esteem will support you. But you can do this in a non-threatening way; you can blend it with your needs and comfort level so the transition is painless.

Keep in mind that everything that occurs during the dark Moon is for your eyes only, and the flow of energy (waning until the moment of the New Moon) means you’re releasing. This time could feel quietly liberating as you exhale and proceed forward, despite the wound. Chiron in Aries is about having the courage to confront the wound and make it part of your identity as you move forward. You’re imperfect and vulnerable but strong.

The eclipse is your fresh start.

June 28th, 2019: Solidify the Past

  • Moon in Taurus trine the South Node in Capricorn (17 deg)

  • Moon in Taurus trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn (17 deg)

  • Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune rx in Pisces (18 deg)

Today’s lunar aspects are, for the most part, all business. Moon trine the South Node and Saturn urges you to solidify (Taurus) a matter from the past by accepting your responsibilities. The trine is an easy influence, so this should come naturally (although in some cases you may end up falling back into a rut defined by fears or rigid habits). But overall, this energy can confirm or solidify.

You’ll know it’s unhealthy if you feel limited or “crushed” by the pressure of old rules. Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s always good for you. Does it feel like a “good” weight or are you feeling squashed? Pay attention to your body – it never steers you wrong.

The sexitle to Neptune adds a touch of release, reminding you that it’s not all about the physical world. Pay attention to the hint about what lies beyond money or physical security – there’s more and there’s room to expand. This brings us to the Cancer North Node (opposite the SN) which the Moon will sextile. All the solidification and confirmation is meant to point you towards an emotional issue that’s not as clearly defined, but is part of your path forward.

  • Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus (5 deg)

  • Moon conjunct Uranus in Taurus (5 deg)

  • Sun in Cancer square Chiron in Aries (5 deg)

  • Sun in Cancer trine Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (6 deg)

  • Waning Sextile between the Cancer Sun and Taurus Moon (6 deg)

The Waning Sextile allows you to move forward with ease, if you choose to. Moon/Uranus in Taurus is the perfect combo of change and solidity – it’s time for an update to habits/security, and this can be applied in a gentle way that feels safe (Cancer).

Sun/Chiron will trigger vulnerabilities and fears about the new battle – you’re on the front line or feeling exposed. But the easy sextiles to Moon/Uranus say that you can do this while building a new foundation. The change doesn’t have to rattle you, if you decide to step forward now and work with this portion of the lunar cycle.

Sun trine BML adds a graceful integration of taboo or controversial women’s issues – this could be about gradually becoming comfortable with a side of yourself that lies outside the rules. Black Moon Lilith in Pisces is the witch or outsider who cannot be defined. She doesn’t break the rules (in this sign) – she flows around them or dissolves them when no one’s watching.

June 25th, 2019: Last Quarter Square and a Grand Trine

  • Moon in Aries trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Last Quarter Square between the Aries Moon and Cancer Sun (3 deg)

  • Moon conjunct Chiron (5 deg)

  • Juno in Leo trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

Last Quarter Square

Here we have a crisis between strength and vulnerability. You were safe, relying on what was familiar. But that’s starting to feel suffocating, and a restless impulse emerges to assertively question family or security. This may be a brand new issue, and the Moon’s conjunction to Chiron indicates that it will involve an uncomfortable mix of putting yourself out there (Aries) while being vulnerable. Perhaps there’s a family wound that needs to be confronted.

Grand Fire Trine

But the Moon is also part of a Grand Fire Trine involving Juno (partnership agreements) and Ceres (nurturing). So there’s a smooth flow of vibrant, confident energy that encourages bold questions and confrontations. Juno trine Ceres is the nurturing agreement which encourages pride and confidence between partners. If we add in Moon/Chiron, it suggests support (via this agreement) for these new questions that make you feel vulnerable. Or, perhaps there can be an agreement to confront the uncomfortable stuff.

Either way, you can tap into this energy to help you through the tension of the Last Quarter Square.

June 22nd, 2019: Personal Magic

  • Waning Trine between the Pisces Moon and Cancer Sun ( 0 deg)

  • Pisces Moon square Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Pisces Moon conjunct Black Moon Lilith (5 deg)

  • Pisces Moon sextile Uranus in Taurus (5 deg)

The Waning Trine brings ease between transpersonal (Pisces) and personal (Cancer). What’s transcendent, magical or fantastic blends easily into what’s comfortable and familiar. This energy can help you share spiritual, creative or healing ideas.

As you do this, watch for the square between the Moon and Ceres Rx (cycle of nurturing) which challenges the ideal or the “best” way of nurturing with issues that dissolve this – impulses to mother or create are questioned.

This brings us to the Moon’s conjunction with BML- the outcast and dangerous woman is united with lunar energy, making it easier to access uncomfortable issues such as “unacceptable” expressions of female sexuality/power and victimization/sacrifices stemming from this. This could take you into some deeper waters as BML in Pisces dissolves rules and boundaries. The sextile to Uranus adds support that liberates – now may be the time to strike out into unknown territory while tapping into the energy of the witch or taboo femme.

All of this is dominated by the Waning Trine – an excellent opportunity to share these issues with others (if you want) or integrate them into your life. This is as aspect of personal magic, as you connect with what’s out there and bring it home.

June 19th, 2019: Mercury/Mars Opposite Pluto Rx

Goya

Goya

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Capricorn Moon and Gemini Sun (28 deg)

  • Mercury and Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto Rx in Capricorn (22 deg)

After the results of June 17th’s Full Moon, the Waning Inconjunct adds another wrinkle. The truth or the story/promise needs to be adjusted according to a rule. You may not want to apply this rule – it may feel strict, unfair or harsh. But there are certain structures that need to be put in place. This will help you narrow your focus or make the wise choice.

Mercury rules the Gemini Sun, and along with Mars opposes Pluto Rx. This adds more tension to the inconjunct- forceful (Mars) words (Mercury) are extremely challenged or challenging. Subterranean truths are dredged up by obsessive actions and thoughts. In emotional Cancer, it will be very difficult to have a balanced, civil discussion. Nothing will be logical – there may be tears, angry neediness, words screamed from the child that sits inside all of us.

You may be pummeled by someone’s truth, or you may project anger/obsessiveness onto someone else. Projection is always a risk with the opposition. As always with Pluto, awareness is the best defense – think carefully before you act and speak, especially if you feel that a truth must be delivered. If someone comes at you, recognize that much of what’s happening is probably projection or attempts to manipulate through intimidation.

Can anything positive come out of today’s aspects? Well, Pluto always reveals what lies beneath. If you’re very careful, the union of words and actions can be focused for maximum effectiveness, using brutal honesty as fuel. Pluto is the subconscious or secrets and (if your eyes are wide open) can be focused through the conscious expression of words united with actions. You can obliterate a lie with this power. You can also destroy something perfectly good.

Be careful.

This takes us back to the Waning Inconjunct – that annoying rule or limit can act as a brake. Select your words with care and apply discipline, maturity and judgement.
