November 18th, 2019: Leo Moon Challenges

Yod.jpg

  • Leo Moon square Mercury RX in Scorpio (11°)

  • Leo Moon inconjunct Neptune RX in Pisces (15°)

  • Leo Moon inconjunct Saturn in Capricorn (16°)

Moon square Mercury RX can trigger discordant or anxious thoughts as profoundly focused ideas clash with bold, showy energy. A square is a crisis aspect, and the tension of this crisis can bring to light a particular secret or insight about fame or the need for appreciation.

The Moon then becomes the focal point of a brief Yod: the inconjuncts to Neptune and Saturn will highlight the disconnect between ego/ drama/me first versus the Saturn/Neptune blend of sacrifice and quiet manifestation. Saturn and Neptune form a separating sextile, which represents the blend of dreams and reality (and the small sacrifice necessary to make it work). The focal point is also the difficult point of integration: it may be a struggle to achieve recognition or to balance pride with work and humility. But somehow, pride and recognition will put a spotlight on your sacrifice.

This is not a “poor me” influence-it’s taking credit for the quiet work that you’ve done while remembering that dreams have limits and what’s solid can be dissolved.

November 17th, 2019: Waning Water Trine

  • Waning Trine between the Cancer Moon and Scorpio Sun (24°)

  • Uranus RX in Taurus inconjunct Pallas in Sagittarius (3°)

The Waning Trine offers a smooth flow between comfortable emotions and deeper issues. What’s intense or taboo can be shared safely with others. This energy is intuitive rather than logical-feel your way through the moment and allow emotional intimacy to unfold naturally.

Uranus/Pallas is a small but awkward point of tension between new and expansive strategies (Pallas) versus disruptions (Uranus) to what you’re trying to preserve. Sudden or enforced liberation from stagnant security habits can result in impulsive strategies or fear of exploration. Don’t allow anxiety to derail a bigger pattern or solution that’s starting to emerge.

November 16th, 2019: Yod To Venus In Sagittarius

Yod.jpg

  • Cancer Moon inconjunct Venus in Sagittarius (18°)

  • Vesta RX in Taurus inconjunct Venus in Sagittarius (18°)

  • Cancer Moon sextile Vesta RX in Taurus (18°)

The above aspects make a configuration called a Yod. The harmonious sextile between the Moon and Vesta creates a stable base that’s rooted in the focus (Vesta) on habits (Taurus) and a familiar, comfortable environment (Cancer).

But the Moon and Vesta both made awkward inconjuncts to Venus in Sag-a new, slightly risky and tempting opportunity may distract you from your focus and make you feel uncomfortable. So there is a struggle to maintain that comfortable status quo even though something exotic beckons. The results can manifest as discord between what you want versus what you need.

The key with a Yod is to use the focal planet as a point of integration, because the focal plan is your task. The issues it represents will be prominent but difficult. Venus is the focal planet here, so what’s new and expansive must be integrated into what’s familiar. These will involve Venus themes- money, relationships, what you want, what you’re are attracted to, your values. There will be discomfort, security fears and anxiety because the Yod is a challenging configuration. The “target” (whatever Venus represents) will not respond to neediness or fear. Use the comforts that you know are real and sacred as a solid foundation, then reach upwards and outwards while keeping your feet planted.

November 6th, 2019: Flowing with the Pisces Moon

  • Pisces Moon sextile Uranus RX in Taurus (4°)

  • Pisces Moon square Venus in Sagittarius (5°)

  • Waxing Trine between the Pisces Moon and Scorpio Sun (14°)

Moon/Uranus gently encourages you to step outside your comfort zone. Dare to dream that something different might be possible and then ground those dreams in the physical changes that are happening. Those changes are your fuel.

The square between Moon and Venus can stir up some mild dissatisfaction as needs clash with wants. Expressions of affection can be somewhat unrealistic, or perhaps you’re just hoping for a bit too much.

But the Waxing Trine ends things on a smooth note as you find a deeper focus for those dreams and undefined needs. This will involve totally committing yourself to an area of acceptance, compassion, spirituality or creativity. Immerse yourself in the moment and you’ll find that you move forward effortlessly. This can be an intensely healing and rejuvenating energy, as long as you’re willing to release control.
