However, Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can see you unwisely pushing past certain boundaries. You may be tempted to expect far more than someone can give, or you may increase your debts. The feeling of increased trust and deep hope can be quite lovely, but make sure you’re fully aware of what you’re opening yourself up to.

Aspects to Mercury in your opportunities sector can motivate you to learn, search for answers or speak out about an ideal/cause. Your communication or search for the truth will be energetic, although your motivations may not be fully clear. Watch for a confirmation about what you wanted to know, via an official announcement or document. Sun/Pluto in this sector will echo the January 5th eclipse, illuminating transformational truths that redefine your view of justice. What you thought was right may be totally different as the shadow behind the truth is revealed. In some cases, a key legal decision may be featured (with Mercury/Saturn making it official).

Gemini

Venus into your partnership sector can introduce a new and exciting love interest, or boost hope and possibilities in an existing relationship. Venus expands attraction, the exchange of love/affection and sociability in all one-on-one connections.  However, Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can raise certain hopes beyond the realm of possibility. Watch for promises (that a partner gives or that you project) that dissolve. The future of a partnership (business or professional) is dynamic and growing, but you must ensure that both of you are on the same page.

Aspects to Mercury in your sector of shared resources can trigger volatile discussions about shared finances or intimacy. Revelations or deep realizations may be driven by external sources, and there could be some sensitive arguments. However, there is also the potential to crystallize a financial or emotional commitment, while articulating boundaries. Sun/Pluto in this sector will echo the January 5th eclipse, casting a light on a hidden or denied aspect of power/powerlessness between you and another. An area where you don’t have full control, or where you’re looking to master uncomfortable truths, will be hi-lighted. Excellent for therapy, accessing memories or acknowledging that a “death” that must happen before the upcoming rebirth.

Cancer

Venus into your sector of routine can ease matters related to work, obligations and health. Watch for more assistance, more solutions and an overall positive feeling (especially if you’ve been overwhelmed by responsibilities, illness or daily restrictions). However, Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can see you taking on too much or pushing yourself too far. Enjoy the rush of hope and renewed energy, but measure your hopes against your actual capabilities. If you’re tempted to slack off or overindulge, now is not the time. Relaxation is fine but don’t allow it to snowball into something that undermines you.

Aspects to Mercury in your partnership sector can trigger arguments or passionate discussions, especially about the future. You may attempt to assert your authority and trample all over any possibility of compromise. Perhaps you’re feeling extra ambitious or impatient. Know that a mutual goal or commitment is approaching, but you’ll have to respect your partner’s words and boundaries- in some cases, a formal commitment may be preceded by some verbal jousting. Sun/Pluto in this sector will echo the January 5th eclipse, illuminating a key area of transformation, or an ending leading to a new beginning in the life of your partner (or in your approach to partnership). In some cases, your partner’s power and influence could be emphasized – consider if you’re projecting power that is rightfully yours.

Leo

Venus into your sector of self-expression can be a celebratory influence, suggesting a new attraction, surge of confidence, desire to indulge or play. Venus can attract good things/good times, but Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can push indulgence past the bounds of common sense. You may feel like taking a huge risk or diving into an intimate union  – much of this can feel fabulous, but be aware of the inevitable come down on the other side.

Aspects to Mercury in your sector of routine can trigger disagreements or excessive demands regarding work or health. You may feel pressured to deliver, correct or confirm, perhaps before you’re ready. Diagnoses or essential tasks can demand that you stay sharp. Sun/Pluto in this sector will echo the January 5th eclipse, hi-lighting a key area of transformation in your daily routine or health. A major change (which can involve a necessary purge) may also involve issues of power between you and a co-worker, or you and someone you’re obligated to.

Virgo

Venus in your domestic sector can expand your desire to bring more into your home life, increase family harmony or redecorate. Spending on domestic matters can increase, as can precious time alone or with a loved one. Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can also inflate certain hopes and promises with a domestic partner, or regarding your domestic goals and love life. While there is certainly room for growth, be careful that you don’t project all your dreams onto someone else – consider what you can do for yourself regarding bounty and beauty.

Aspects to Mercury in your sector of self-expression can trigger bold words or see you speaking out about something/someone you want. Flirtatious conversations can crackle with possibility and creative work is favoured. However, buried motivations or unacknowledged frustrations can push you to say more than you intended, and you will encounter limits on what you can and cannot say. On the plus side, focusing your attention in a productive direction can jump start a writing project or solidify your determination to say what needs to be said while laying down your boundaries. Sun/Pluto adds juice to the above – echoing the January 5th eclipse, Sun/Pluto illuminates an area of power, purpose and talent. Pay attention to a sign that now is the time to get serious about doing something for yourself or putting your talents to work.

Libra

Venus in your communication sector ups your charm, communication skills and ability to deliver a favourable message. Watch for good news, creative ideas, flirtatious conversations or an optimistic boost. However, Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can push you to promise more than you can deliver. Or, you may end up believing a promise (or seeing only what you want to see) and discovering there’s not much substance behind it. This can be a marvellously creative influence – excellent for writing, selling or putting a magical spin on things. Just make sure the reality of the situation is not ignored.

Aspects to Mercury in your domestic sector can trigger arguments with a domestic partner or forceful but aggravated family conversations. You may be motivated to lay down the law, but you’ll also confront significant limits in the guise of family responsibilities or authority. In some cases, there could be an official document involving buying, selling or renting. Sun/Pluto in this sector echoes the January 5th eclipse and hi-lights a key issue of transformation at home. A “death” of some aspect from your past, or the excavation of family/childhood issues, may be featured.

Scorpio

Venus into your sector of personal resources suggests a possible increase in earned money, new sources of income, confidence or the desire to treat yourself. There can also be an increase in spending, which is fine as long as you have the available resources. Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can boost your self-esteem and desire to indulge even more. Approach with caution- you may lose sight of what you actually have versus what you want (major expenses are a risk). But you can also feel particularly good about yourself, and this is not something to be ignored. Just keep an eye on the urge to overdo it. In some cases, you may find that your core values become overly flexible as you take a risk or dive into something you wouldn’t normally consider.

Aspects to Mercury in your communication sector can trigger arguments, assertive statements or challenges to your ideas. You may feel pressured to prove your point or deliver a statement with authority. In some cases, your authority may be challenged. This is the time to line up what you know and deliver your ideas with maturity – no maybes, just yes or no. Excellent for setting boundaries or signing official documents (as long as you’re not being pushed into committing to something you don’t want). Sun/Pluto in this sector echoes the January 5th eclipse, drawing your attention to a key conversation or decision that can transform your future.

Sagittarius

Venus into your sign gifts you with full-on charm, attraction power and expansive confidence in yourself. This is a major feel-good influence, and Jupiter in your sign square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can add to the rush. You may feel euphoric, with a sense that the sky’s the limit regarding a new project, hope or future goal. While there is tons of potential, it will also be easy to lose sight of reality and get caught up in inflated hopes. Before you surge ahead, take a step back and consider if you really need to go any further. This influence can make it easy to lose sight of all boundaries which will result in disappointment later. Less is more.

Aspects to Mercury in your sector of personal resources suggests edgy conversations/realizations about money or self-esteem. You may have to defend yourself or demand compensation. Mercury/Saturn can help you articulate boundaries but will also confront you with absolute realities about what you can spend or demand. Sun/Pluto echoes the January 5th eclipse, spotlighting an issue of financial or emotional change – watch for a deep truth about spending, saving or self-worth. The more you’re prepared to be honest, the more you can purge old habits that have been holding you back. A new source of income or approach to security/values is possible.

Capricorn

Venus into your hidden sector can expand secret potentials and desires, or it can see you focusing more on something that appeals just to you. Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can add to the above with unspoken hopes or undefined dreams. There’s great creative potential but much of what emerges will need to be double checked  – unacknowledged expectations can result in disappointment if you don’t clarify exactly what you’re looking for.

Aspects to Mercury in your sign can fire you up as domestic arguments or frustrations push you to speak out or lay down the law. This could be about you defining your boundaries, delivering your message with authority or committing to a specific responsibility. Along with Sun/Pluto in your sign (which will echo the January 5th eclipse) you should become aware of your own power and ability to push back or make a necessary change. You’ve got all the fuel you need to move forward.

Aquarius

Venus into your social sector can increase good times with others or expand your desire to connect with the group and make a positive impression. This energy favours attracting positive connections or taking some chances on new attractions/experiences. Jupiter in this sector square Neptune (the first of three squares this year) can expand your public reach while inflating your expectations about what others have to offer. Too, your public image can have a particular shine to it that makes you very appealing. However, be cautious about promises that are not kept and expectations that fall short – you may overdo it or under-deliver, and the result can be a very public disappointment. Be extra cautious if money is involved – watch your boundaries and your reputation.

Aspects to Mercury in your hidden sector can stir up background frustrations and public arguments based on hidden information. Secrets or unspoken knowledge will become clearly defined, but you may be the only one who knows what’s going on. Sun/Pluto in this sector (which echoes the January 5th eclipse) will illuminate a previously ignored issue/obsession – watch for a shadow to be revealed which will push you to confront some hidden truths.

Pisces

Venus into your career sector gifts you with an appealing professional image, a new and intriguing professional connection or improved relationships with those in authority. This is the time to work your professional contacts, but Jupiter in this sector square Neptune in your sign (the first of three squares this year)is a caution to keep tabs on professional growth. On the one hand, there’s potential to go further, move into a new area or pursue a dream job. But you can easily overreach or pin your hopes on something that dissolves. Keep one foot on the ground and double check all your expectations. Also, make sure you don’t undermine your authority with carelessness or a disregard for professional boundaries.

Aspects to Mercury in your social sector can trigger public arguments (with friends) or edgy social statements/challenges. You may be speaking out or feel pressured to respond, and you’ll also encounter very strict boundaries about what you can and cannot say. In some cases, your public authority or a commitment can be confirmed, but only if you approach this one carefully. Sun/Pluto in this sector echoes the January 5th eclipse, illuminating an area of power or deep change – watch for a glimpse of the shadow behind a public facade or a deeper reservoir of strength that you an access as you deal with others.

Overview

Mars into Aries

Mars enters Aries on December 31st, lighting the spark for New Year’s Eve and starting the New Year off with a burst of passion. Mars rules Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. This is the energy of the pioneer and warrior – use it to power up your resolutions.

Grand Water Trine

January 1st to 5th features yet another Grand Water Trine involving Chiron in Pisces and the Cancer North Node. It was activated from November 6th to 8th (by Jupiter in Scorpio) and on November 20th (by the Sun in Scorpio). Now Venus in Scorpio reactivates the potential to address weaknesses and vulnerabilities (Chiron) while moving forward into new emotional territory (North Node). Venus is about relationships, values, finances and self-esteem, so these areas can flow nicely. The North Node will be key – step into a new area that demands emotional honesty and vulnerability.

Mercury
January 3rd to 4th features a square between between Mercury in Sagittarius and Chiron in Pisces, followed by a trine to Uranus Rx in Aries. Mercury/Uranus encourages liberating honesty or unusual new ideas, but the square to Chiron means you’ll also be facing some painful conversations/insecurities. Fortunately, you’ve got that Grand Water Trine to help you deal with the Chiron issues. Mercury then moves into rule-obsessed Capricorn on January 4th, narrowing your options but improving your focus.

New Moon Eclipse

January 5th presents the first eclipse of 2019. A New Moon eclipse in Capricorn falls between Saturn and Pluto, suggesting that this major new beginning will involve significant responsibilities and rules (Saturn) plus focused expressions of power (Pluto). This eclipse will be a preview of the January 12th 2020 conjunction between Saturn and Pluto, which will signal a massive new definition of reality, power and control. I wrote a detailed PDF on this conjunction that you can purchase here.

Uranus Direct

Finally, Uranus stations direct in Aries on January 6th. Uranus first entered Aries on May 27th, 2010, kicking off a few years of radical liberation and immolation of the past. Uranus exited Aries for Taurus in May 2018, but returned to Aries (while Rx) in November 2018. This suggests there were a few, remaining ties to the past that needed to be severed. Uranus direct can be seen as your final surge forward in this area and what began in 2010 will be wrapped up. Uranus direct also adds momentum to whatever Mars in Aries is activating.

Aries

Mars into your sign (which he rules) starts the New Year off right, gifting you with ambition and vigour. This is the perfect time to start something, as Mars is the initiator. Your energy and courage will be at maximum and you’ll have plenty of drive to fight, pursue or push into new territory.

Uranus direct in your sign keeps the forward momentum going, urging you to permanently burn away any remaining ties to the past or anything that’s preventing you from expressing your individuality. Uranus direct is the final chapter of what began  on May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered your sign). Consider how far you’ve come as you’ve fought for your freedom and answered the call to a brave new life.

The Grand Water Trine in your sector of shared resources (Venus) hidden sector (Chiron) and domestic sector (North Node) keeps the flow of deep, compassionate love, intimacy or financial security going. The gentle resolution of secrets is also supported.

Taurus

Mars into your hidden sector puts background potentials on simmer. Urges, projects or ambitions that you’re not ready to openly acknowledge will develop, as well as hidden frustrations or anger. For the moment, direct action will be difficult because you’re not clear on what to do next or your energy is low. Allow things to move forward in secret.

The New Moon eclipse in your sector of opportunities draws your attention to travel, education, legal matters or publishing. Consider how words/ideas can be honed and used to your advantage.

Uranus direct in your hidden sector ties up any loose ends from May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). Endings as well as the activation of hidden potentials will be ignited. What began around May 15th, 2018 (when Uranus first entered your sign) was put on hold, but you’re almost ready to flip that switch again as of March 6th, 2019 when Uranus re-enters your sign.

As Mercury enters your sector of shared resources, the above events will push you to seriously consider the deeper dynamics between you – you’ll be focusing on what’s happening behind the scenes, especially regarding issues that you don’t have full control over.

As Mercury enters your partnership sector, watch for relationship discussions to take on a more focused, serious tone.

Uranus direct in your career sector wraps up changes that began around May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). At that time, your career path and future goals were revolutionized as you moved in an entirely new direction (perhaps not voluntarily). By this point, the changes should be winding down as you adjust to your new path, but Uranus direct may trigger one, last liberation from a past approach to success or authority. Too, there may be a final risk that you need to take.

Uranus direct in your partnership sector is the final surge of change that began around May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). You’ll be letting others know exactly what you think, but be aware that past/family issues can trip you up and undermine your message. Family discussions can be touchy and your honesty may reopen some wounds.

Uranus direct in your sector of self-expression is the last hurrah of an influence that began around May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). At that time, radical changes to how you expressed yourself/created/performed started the process that may have resulted in a brand new you (children, art or new romance may have been involved). Uranus direct delivers a final shot of courage or a needed push to get you where you should be.

The Grand Water Trine in your domestic sector (Chiron) your sector of shared resources (North Node) and your hidden sector (Venus) continues the flow of deep healing and private confrontations with the past that occurred on November 6th -8th and November 20th. Family issues, shared finances and trust/vulnerability are areas that you can continue to explore in a safe way via secrets and the private excavation of what you really want.

Capricorn

The eclipse in your sign will be a powerful prompt to redefine your responsibilities, your reality and your authority. A new responsibility or focus can see you stepping into the New Year with determination, but there will also be significant weight attached to this commitment. Aspects to Mercury in your hidden sector can encourage the realization of a secret or draw your attention to something you’ve been ignoring (or something that was in your blind spot). You may be torn between going public versus feeling cautious about triggering a sensitive/painful subject, but as Mercury enters your sign everything should come out into the open. Now you’ll have all the information you need to make an informed decision and to speak about what you know (with authority).

Uranus direct in your domestic sector finishes off changes that began around May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). The Grand Water Trine in your social sector (Venus) your communication sector (Chiron) and your partnership sector (North Node) continues favourable influences from November 6th -8th and November 20th. This in turn will support the progress of all your one-on-one connections, especially a significant partnership. Don’t be afraid to make yourself a bit vulnerable.

Aquarius

Mars into your communication sector can fire up your conversations, writing and contacts. You could be encouraged to speak out about something you feel passionately about as you receive an injection of courage or anger. Excellent for starting a new writing project.

Aspects to Mercury in your social sector continue the above trend, urging you to say something publicly that lays the truth out for all to see. Innovation and new/unusual ideas can connect you to friends/groups, but you’ll also be dealing with doubts about personal values (do they conflict with the group?) or money worries. As Mercury enters your hidden sector, you may pull back and focus on what’s brewing behind the scenes.

The eclipse in your hidden sector can define hidden potentials or surprising realities. An ending could lead to an unexpected beginning while drawing your attention to an ultimate goal or dream that you weren’t fully acknowledging (until now).  This eclipse will be a preview of events on January 12th, 2020, when Saturn and Pluto meet in this sector – you’re moving towards the development of a whole new reality that will help you access hidden sources of strength and focus. In some cases, this could be the ultimate reality check that ends a fantasy while crystallizing new potentials.

Uranus direct in your communication sector says that the overhaul of your ideas/communication style is not quite finished. What began on May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector) will now be wrapped up, with a final shock that draws your attention to yet another truth, or prompts you to question what you think you know.

The Grand Water Trine in your career sector (Venus) your sector of personal resources (Chiron) and your sector of routine (North Node) continues the flow of lucrative opportunities from November 6th -8th and November 20th. Favourable professional relationships, or developments with your professional image, can address security fears while hooking into new and improved routines involving work, health and attention to self-care. This could be about developing a professional lifestyle that supports (rather than stresses) you.

Pisces

Mars into your sector of personal resources can fire up your ambitions to earn more, look out for yourself or assert your values. Excellent for a confidence boost or if you have to fight for what you need. Mars can also favour the pursuit of new sources of income.

The eclipse in your social sector can hi-light a major new friendship, group association or definition of your public image. What starts now will put you on the path to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in this sector (January 12th, 2020) which will signal a new reality regarding your public reputation and associations with others. Watch for the development of boundaries, the ending of some friendships and a reality check about public expressions of power/authority.

Aspects to Mercury in your career sector can encourage you to speak freely with management or express innovative ideas regarding a new business, new career path or job search. However, the square to Chiron in your sign will trigger doubts about your success, and can stir up awkward conversations. Use caution when speaking out. As Mercury enters your social sector, your focus will turn to the broader implications of what you know, and you may be expected to make your words public.

Uranus direct in your sector of personal resources has a few more surprises regarding earned money, security and personal values. What began around  May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector) may hit you with a final surge of freedom or a radical update to your old definitions of security. New sources of income or an overhaul of your values may be featured.

The Grand Water Trine in your sign (Chiron) your sector of self-expression (North Node) and your opportunities sector (Venus) continues the healing that began on November 6th -8th and November 20th. You’re being encouraged to explore, expand and step into the unknown- travel, education, legal matters or publishing are areas where your faith will be rewarded. In some cases, an opportunity to teach or guide others may be featured.

Speaking of fresh starts, the New Moon eclipse in your career sector hi-lights a new professional path, professional image or direction for your ambitions. Along with Mars into your sign, this is prime time to start a new business, job or power forward towards a future goal that’s aligned with an authentic expression of your ambitions. This eclipse will be a preview of events on January 12th, 2020, when Saturn and Pluto meet in your career sector for a new definition of authority.

Aspects to Mercury in your opportunities sector (including the trine to Uranus Rx in your sign) urge you to speak out, give voice to your ideals or consider new developments involving travel, education, legal matters or publishing. New knowledge and options beckon, even as hidden worries shadow your optimism. Some of what you say or learn may reveal uncomfortable truths. As Mercury enters your career sector, you’ll be ready to take a serious look at your future and focus on putting your authority into words.

Potentials from Nov 6th-8th and Nov 20th will be reactivated as trust, financial gifts/assistance and progress/healing with family issues are enabled.

A new destination, goal or ideal is in the works, and it will gradually come into focus over the next year. Watch for hope or wisdom to become more defined, as well as an increasing responsibility to broaden your horizons or guide others. This eclipse will be a preview of events on January 12th, 2020, when Saturn and Pluto meet in this sector- a complete transformation of beliefs/ideals will be given a clear focus.

Aspects to Mercury in your sector of shared resources encourage you to have that uncomfortable conversation or dig deeper into secrets, shared information or psychological issues. Too, someone else may drop a knowledge bomb that opens your eyes to uncomfortable truths. Hidden knowledge that goes public could be embarrassing. As Mercury enters your opportunities sector, what you discover will enable the breadth and depth of knowledge while urging you to learn even more. As you look further, you’ll get serious about gathering info with a purpose involving travel, education, legal matters, faith or publishing.

The Grand Water Trine in your social sector (Chiron) your communication sector (North Node) and your partnership sector (Venus) enables compassionate or loving one-on-one communication. A relationship (new or existing) can advance with the expression of deeply honest words and no-holds-barred feelings. Also excellent for delivering a message to others (friends, the public) in a way that touches everyone but feels very personal. Potentials from Nov 6th-8th and Nov 20th will be reactivated as you explore how vocalizing your needs and aligning your thoughts with feelings increases your connections with others.

Gemini

Mars into your social sector can activate fresh potentials with friends, groups or the public. Your public image could receive an energetic boost, along with your ability to make an impact. In some cases, public arguments could also be activated. In general this is busy, extroverted energy.

The New Moon eclipse in your sector of shared resources can draw your awareness to debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or intimacy. This eclipse will be a preview of events on January 12th, 2020, when Saturn and Pluto meet in this sector, bringing a metaphorical “death” and rebirth that can shift the balance of power between you and another or redefine your resources, strengths and vulnerabilities. A significant but necessary debt (such as a mortgage) could also be taken on.

Aspects to Mercury in your relationship sector can advance the discussion between you and a partner. Watch for bold, slightly unusual ideas or requests to be featured – freedom and independence will be themes, and some fears about future goals (or your professional image) may also be featured. This will be especially true if this is a professional relationship. Either way, keep an open mind to what the other person is saying. As Mercury enters your sector of shared resources, the above events will push you to seriously consider the deeper dynamics between you – you’ll be focusing on what’s happening behind the scenes, especially regarding issues that you don’t have full control over.

Uranus direct in your social sector wraps up what began on May 27th, 2010 (when Uranus first entered this sector). Watch for the final chapter of a massive change that severed old associations, brought new contacts into your life and revolutionized your public image. Uranus direct may represent the ending of a friendship or group association that’s outlived its time.

The Grand Water Trine in your career sector (Chiron) your sector of personal resources (North Node) and your sector of routine (Venus) gifts you with assistance, solutions or helpers in a work or health matter. Continuing positive trends from November 6th to 8th and November 20th, financial growth, emotional security and doubts about success/authority can be addressed via self-care, a more nurturing daily environment and the development of co-worker relationships.

Cancer

Watch for unusual but effective workarounds, diagnoses or ways to prioritize. At the same time, you’ll be dealing with the exposure of a weakness or error, but don’t let this slow you down- use your smarts and access to new info to deal with the issue and move forward.

The Grand Water Trine in your sign (the North Node) your sector of self-expression (Venus) and your opportunities sector (Chiron) continues the trend that began on November 6th -8th and November 20th, as your confidence, desire to explore or show off your talents is supported. Aspects to Mercury in your sector of self-expression can encourage you to speak out about something you want (including a new attraction), or show off your creative skills. Too, this could simply be about getting attention, although you’ll also be dealing with undertones of doubts, hidden fears or psychological wounds. As Mercury enters your sector of routine, your focus will switch to practical realities as you get serious about what must be done in a work or health context.

The Grand Water Trine in your hidden sector (North Node) domestic sector (Venus) and sector of shared resources (Chiron) continues the trend that began on November 6th -8th and November 20th as home and family matters evolve along a path of deep healing. Looking at the past has encouraged you to open up new dreams and areas of trust/vulnerability, while addressing psychological wounds. Excellent for increased family harmony or dealing with childhood issues on your own.

Virgo

Mars into your sector of shared resources activates issues with debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or intimacy. What you share and do not have full control over can be stirred up, with passion, anger or the motivation to change things. Good for making changes to unhealthy habits or addressing issues you’ve been avoiding, although someone else may be the trigger.

Overview

December 24th brings an exact square between Neptune in Pisces and Mercury in Sagittarius. This square was almost exact on November 16th, but Mercury stationed Rx and backed away before it perfected. Mercury in Sag is expansive ideas/promises/hopes, but the square to Neptune hinted at illusion. Now as the square perfects on Christmas Eve, you’ll face that illusion or lie head-on, and truth waits on the other side.

December 27th sees Mars in Pisces trining the Cancer North Node – creative, empathetic or intuitive actions will activate your path forward towards an area that feels (Cancer) real because it is based on what you actually need. Mars in Pisces is about flow – allow yourself to move towards what feels right.

In the process, you may encounter a sore spot as Mars conjoins Wounded Healer Chiron on December 29th. Here is the vulnerability that you will face down. Take action to move past it – that action will involve release, acceptance, forgiveness and compassion (for yourself and others).

Aries

Mercury in your opportunities sector square Neptune is the confrontation between truth and lies, opportunity and illusion. This was first hinted at on November 16th, but now you can clarify what you suspected, even though there may be disappointment. Education, travel, legal matters, publishing or ideals will be involved.

Mars in your hidden sector trine the North Node encourages behind the scenes or intuitive actions. Progress on the domestic front is favoured if you act from a place of instinct and allowing. As Mars conjoins Chiron, watch for the confrontation and release of a hidden wound  – compassion blended with the willingness to let go and start fresh is key.

Taurus

Mercury in your sector of shared resources square Neptune can uncover a lie or illusion involving debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or intimacy. This was first hinted at on November 16th, and now the deep or uncomfortable conversation/information can reveal what’s been ignored. Missing information could emerge or a truth about what you actually share/owe.

Mars in your social sector trine the North Node signals progress regarding friends, groups or your public image. A public message, plans for the future or social discussion can energize your awareness of what ideas really matter to you, and how important it is for you to speak from the heart. As Mars conjoins Chiron, watch for social actions to trigger forgiveness, increased compassion or the confrontation with a public vulnerability.

Gemini

Mercury in your partnership sector square Neptune brings back a conversation or suspicion from November 16th. At that time, a personal or professional partnership may have featured unclear details, unspoken promises or miscommunication. Now the other person may bring up the issue again, or you may be confronted with the tension between future ideals versus their words. Watch for clarification but also some disillusionment as you see the full truth.

Mars in your career sector trine the North Node signals professional and financial  progress, as your efforts support future security. A new job, new source of income or new approach to self-worth/satisfaction will be enabled by your ambitions, but Mars conjunct Chiron indicates that this will not be about raw aggression or the typical path to success. This will involve a confrontation with previous insecurities or doubts about your ability to succeed, along with the release of old professional wounds. In some cases, your work may directly involve healing others, which can increase your security base.

Cancer

Mercury in your sector of routine square Neptune brings up errors or missing information from November 16th. A difficult health or work issue is once again triggered, but now you have the opportunity to clarify or correct any unrealistic approaches to daily routines that may be undermining you. If you’ve been denying a health/work issue, you’ll be turning a corner as obligations are revealed.

Mars in your opportunities sector trine the North Node in your sign is a clear signal that you’re on the right path regarding travel, education, legal matters, publishing or exploration. Step into a new area, broaden your horizons or allow your faith to guide you – this will power you forward to a place that boosts your internal security and honours your feelings. Mars/Chiron says that this will involve a gentle confrontation with a fear or doubts about the unknown- there is risk with greater exposure, but also a chance to learn, teach and heal.

Leo

Mercury in your sector of self-expression square Neptune suggests romantic or creative words that are out of touch with reality. November 16th originally hinted at an expansive wish or hope which promised far more than was possible (you may have seen only what you wanted to see). Now you’ll see what’s actually behind the veil, and while there may be some disappointment, there’s also great creative potential if the energy is directed correctly.

Mars in your sector of shared resources trine the North Node can activate hidden potentials or needs that have been denied. Shared finances, intimacy or psychological issues can see progress, along with healing. As Mars conjoins Chiron, watch for a deep wound/insecurity to be triggered and then released. This one could feel especially sensitive.

Virgo

Mercury in your domestic sector square Neptune suggests unspoken messages from a partner or a misinterpretation of their motivations. Originally hinted at on November 16th, you’re once again dealing with family/domestic discussions that are confusing, but now you can gain some clarity. What you learn may not be what you hoped, but you’ll have a clearer sense of a partner’s truth and how information from the past can be misinterpreted.

Mars in your partnership sector trine the North Node suggests actions in a one-on-one relationship can expand your group connections or public profile. A partner may be broadening their social reach or encouraging you to look at the bigger picture, and Mars/Chiron suggests this will involve the reactivation of an old insecurity. Doubts about the relationship or a weakness/illness on your partner’s end can be confronted as you both move on. Too, a partner’s actions can trigger projected wounds – think carefully before you react.

Libra

Mercury in your communication sector square Neptune once again brings up a lie, illusion or piece of obscured information. You first confronted this around November 16th, but at that time it may have only been a hint or suspicion. Now you’ll gain a full understanding of what was missing or distorted. If your message has been unclear, this aspect will reveal the truth behind your words (whether you’re ready for the clarity or not).

Mars in your sector of routine trine the North Node aligns efforts involving work or health with professional or future goals. A more fluid/creative approach will activate future potentials that feel right (perhaps a career path that’s more in line with what you need). Mars/Chiron can signal a new beginning regarding a health issue or difficulties with errors, undermining habits or a toxic environment.

Scorpio

Mercury in your sector of personal resources square Neptune can bring you to a turning point regarding a vague financial or self-esteem issue. November 16th may have first introduced a hope or promise, but now you’ll discover inaccuracies or unrealistic ideas. Financial documents/discussions can be revealed as false or in need of major revisions.

Mars in your sector of self-expression trine the North Node activates ambitions  or confidence to move into a new area. Travel, education, legal matters, publishing or matters of faith are areas that you’ll be encouraged to explore further via a new attraction, creative work or increased confidence in your talents/worthiness. Mars/Chiron insists that you also tackle a doubt about your worthiness, as you move forward.

Sagittarius

Mercury in your sign square Neptune can see you uncovering a lie or illusion based on the past, family or other domestic issues. You first approached this around November 16th, but now you will have a chance to fully confront and clarify the issue. You may be dealing with your own illusions, or will have to deal with a disappointing chapter in your family life.

Fortunately, Mars in your domestic sector trine the North Node says that actions at home/with family are an essential part of increasing trust with a partner, getting a handle on finances or coming to terms with psychological issues. There’s progress to be made on a deeper level, and Mars/Chiron encourages you to confront old family wounds or history that’s been undermining you. Perhaps you need to act on something you’ve been avoiding.

Capricorn

Mercury in your hidden sector square Neptune suggests that an illusion, fantasy or secret from November 16th may re-emerge, but this time you’ll be looking at what’s behind the veil. This could be the confrontation with a lie or conversation you’ve been avoiding. As you move forward, watch for a truth to emerge.

Mars in your communication sector trine the North Node indicates that ideas supported by actions will enable an empathetic path forward in all one-on-one situations. A relationship can develop further if you initiate, and Mars/Chiron gives you the opportunity to tackle a wound, sensitive subject or uncomfortable discussion. It’s up to you to get the ball rolling, but the payoff will allow you to move past a sore spot.

Aquarius

Mercury in your social sector square Neptune confronts you with a public lie, misunderstanding or confusion. You first encountered this on November 16th, and now you’ll gain a full understanding of what was missing or obscured, regarding friends, your public image or a group association.

On the plus side, Mars in your sector of personal resources trine the North Node looks good for any actions involving finances or self-esteem- align your efforts with a new work/health routine or lifestyle in order to grow your resources. This will involve tuning into what feels better/healthier/more satisfying for you. Mars/Chiron suggests now is also the time to confront a financial or emotional insecurity – there may be a lingering doubt or habit that you can finally move past.

Pisces

Mercury in your career sector square Neptune in your sign takes you back to November 16th- a conversation with management, career information or your ideas/visions for your future hinted at something more, and now you’ll understand that not all was as it seemed. Watch for a confrontation with an unrealistic promise or future goal, as well as a prompt to clarify your words.

But Mars in your sign trine the North Node in your sector of self-expression suggests stepping forward towards a creative or romantic development can be favourable. Something with great emotional significance shows promise, and the key will be developing your needs/satisfaction as opposed to following the group. Mars conjunct Chiron in your sign also insists that you tackle, once and for all, a lingering doubt or weakness. Mars/Chiron can also signal an opportunity to teach/heal/magnetize others through your pursuit of a goal that places you on an alternative path.
