Fresh wounds are triggered by a partnership agreement. Issues around neediness, the desire to protect or mother/child dynamics can result in a new and painful crisis. Vulnerability will be a key theme – feeling more vulnerable together or feeling like safety is being compromised. Old family issues can be seen in a new light.

You have the power to say “No” or indicate what you’re not comfortable with, in this agreement. Family contracts can be challenged if they make you feel unsafe.

Every dance with Chiron is a chance to confront what hurts. Especially in Aries (the warrior sign) you are not meant to sweep this under the rug. The healing involves increased empathy but the wound itself never goes away. You gain strength when you have the courage to confront what hurts.

The crisis between what’s new and what’s established can push you to question what you want. Current definitions of security may be getting stale – something is urging you to step back and look at what you have in a different light. This process can feel uncomfortable, because you may not want to question what’s worked so far. But it’s time to shake things up and if you’re being honest you’ll admit that what’s in front of you feels a bit stifling.

Mercury/Ceres

Mercury in Aries is not usually considered nurturing, but this aspect suggests bold words can fuel the care and feeding of an adventure or area of learning. Fresh ideas and assertive speech will support what you’re exploring. Or, maybe you’re asserting your intentions to look after someone. Nurturing in this context may require courage, as you venture into a new area.

Uranus/Juno

Juno in Cancer is the “safe” agreement- a partnership contract that features protection, comfort and parental roles. But what’s safe needs to change a bit and the sextile to Uranus suggests a gentle hint of movement into a new area. The relationship itself may encompass some new facets that still work with the original commitment. Or, there may be an agreement to look after each other in a new way that’s still stable. Watch for an emerging definition of resources.

In the final degrees of their respective signs, Venus and Juno square off. There are multiple choices in a partnership agreement, but none of them are exactly what’s desired. Logic clashes with less defined wants and beliefs – the facts of a relationship do not add up, no matter how many ways you spin it. The ideal of pure, unconditional love cannot be summed up in words, but sometimes words are necessary.

Maybe it’s time to choose but one partner keeps floating away.

Both Venus and Juno are about to enter new signs (Venus into Aries and Juno into Cancer) so this tells you that you’re at a turning point. You’ve reached a moment where you can move forward together with a whole new agreement, or you can move forward separately.

Juno into Cancer is about the agreement to nurture. Relationship contracts emphasize protection, mutual needs being met, mother/child dynamics and family. This may or may not be acceptable to both parties. Or, perhaps this shift (along with the Sun’s Taurus ingress) is about a brand new relationship.

Juno will exit Cancer for Leo on June 20th.
