New Moon blessings! In the midst of what has been decaying and falling away lately; if we dare to shift our footing onto something more solid, we can gain a whole new perspective into what we’ve been looking at. When gazing from a different angle, we should be able to see the beginning of a […]

Venus is the dominant energy today. Her sextile with Saturn suggests quiet developments in money, relationship and self-esteem matters. Nothing flashy, just a reminder to calmly approach Venus issues. Be disciplined (Saturn) about balancing (Libra) your wants. Be an adult (Saturn) about this.
Venus/Chiron may present a painful reminder. Developments could trigger an insecurity – you feel unloved, unattractive, etc. This is where Saturn comes in. When you experience that brief moment of social embarrassment, or you feel “unacceptable” Saturn’s steady hand will urge you to look at the bigger picture (Sagittarius). There’s more going on than your awkward moment.
Sun/Neptune encourages you to immerse yourself in something deeper. Yes, your Venus issue is important, but there’s also a reservoir of compassion, creativity or peace. And you can only access it if you take one step back from the surface stuff (how you look/how they look/how well you’re liked). If you find yourself dwelling excessively on a relationship/self-esteem problem, release your concerns about appearance and open yourself up to what lies beneath (the deeper truth, even if it’s ugly). Accept what you have and release the yearning for what you don’t have.
Any combination of Neptune and the Sun transcends the ego. Add in Scorpio, and you have the potential to empower yourself by letting go of grasping, controlling, compulsive behaviour. Stop trying to influence others, and see what happens.

Mercury forms the point of a Yod, a challenging configuration that focuses two, tense aspects (inconjuncts) onto one planet.
Mercury/Pallas Rx suggests a disconnect between relationship communication and strategies, while Mercury/Neptune Rx can trigger sensitivity and misunderstandings in discussions.
Meanwhile, Pallas and Neptune support each other with a sextile (not exact) – practical, measurable plans to establish security can lead to the manifestation of a dream. You can make the financial or security ideal real. But, the tricky part will be translating this into words that someone will understand and agree with. It’s difficult but doable – aim for clarity (check that they’re hearing you and you’re not misreading them) and compromise.
Pallas and Neptune’s Rx status indicates that this is not a new issue. You’re revising the plans, although it may be the first time you’ve talked about them openly.
Homeric Hymn to Poseidon About Poseidon the great god first I sing, mover of the earth and the barren sea, marine god, who possesses Helicon and broad Aegae. In two parts, Earth-shaker, the gods assigned you your privilege: to be a tamer of horses, and saviour of ships. I salute you, Poseidon, earth-rider, sable-hair. Keep your heart well disposed, blessed one, and assist those at sea. —translation from the Loeb Classical Library Hurricanes, earthquakes, storm surges and floods: Poseidon aka Neptune. Between the eclipse in Leo (Aug 21) and the Full Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune (September 6), the horses […]

If you enter a room to get something only to forget why you went in; if you discover mid-sentence that you’ve lost your train of thought entirely; if you lost yet another several hours or days doing…(yes, what exactly were you doing?) it’s probably not early dementia –it’s Neptune. Popular astrological opinion says if we […]

The September 6th Full Moon (13 degrees Pisces) conjoins Neptune Rx (12 degrees). There’s potential for a dream or deception to be illuminated, depending on what’s led up to this result.
Moon/Neptune can be a lovely, expansive culmination that keeps on growing. Neptune’s association with the ultimate means this could be THE result you’ve been waiting for. Endless creativity or romance. Unconditional compassion and healing. The results could ripple outwards and impact the masses – great for reaching as wide an audience as possible.
Moon/Neptune can also be a delusional, sulking mess. What you end up with could disappoint, as the Virgo polarity punctures Pisces’ bubble with hard facts. Or maybe you just slide into the victim zone.
I’ve described two exaggerated scenarios. The reality will probably lie somewhere in between, esecpailly since this Moon makes a confusing inconjunct to Venus in Leo (13 degrees). There will be a rather exalted desire – a glittery and beautiful person/goal that you’re coveting. What you get may not be what you were hoping for, as the golden shell is peeled back to reveal something less attractive. But that doesn’t mean it will be a total fake. Reality rarely stacks up to the movie version, but there could be something solid beneath the shine.
Or, you really could end up with a total fake. Much depends on how far from reality you’ve drifted. Remember that Neptune is never just about you or your desires. You’re more likely to be disappointed if you’ve been grasping for something subjective and personal. Neptune is transpersonal-look beyond what you want.
No matter what happens, this Moon will be slippery and ultra-sensitive. No boundaries means it’s high tide for psychic or creative work. If you’ve been wanting to dissolve limits, this is your Moon. If you need a time out to rest, drift, heal…this is your Moon. But if you’re emotionally vulnerable, prone to addictions or confidence-sucking attractions, stay grounded and stick with what you know is healthy. Even if that’s a tad boring. It will be too easy to lose it all, as Neptune dissolves your self-control along with those boundaries.
Be smart about this one. You know what works for you, and what doesn’t.
I’ve written about denial from a number of angles over the last fifteen years. I was a bit surprised, looking back at the old posts. In some of them, I seem to be praising denial. In others, I go on … Read More…
