  • Mercury in Libra inconjunct Uranus Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

  • Venus in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

A difficult day for relationship harmony.

Venus in Libra loves to be loved and to have everything polished, pretty and graceful. This can mean bending over backwards to be accommodating, but the opposition to Chiron indicates that there will be socially uncomfortable moments, no matter what.

Efforts to be charming or diplomatic may fail, or end up inadvertently triggering a sore spot. Perhaps you’re hurt because someone is taking advantage or treating you unfairly. This is the time to be aware of what desires (regarding love, attention and values) you’re projecting. People don’t know what you want unless you tell them. If they can’t or won’t meet you halfway (after you’ve been open) this tells you something about them.

Adding to this, we have Mercury making a painful inconjunct to Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus. Polite conversation will be difficult due to hard-to-pinpoint anxiety about saying the right thing. There’s a need to speak the truth/break away from what’s proper, but there can be doubts about how to do this effectively. Words may swing between the complete avoidance of anything controversial (candy-coated statements) to blunt, artless blurbs.

Expect touchy, painful moments and inappropriate words. Do your best to navigate by making allowances for rough patches.

  • Mercury in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

Mercury in Libra wants to say the nice thing and gloss over the painful stuff. The opposition to Chiron says this will be difficult, because almost anything will activate a sore spot or sound awkward. In fact, you may find that more you try to be polite, the more likely you are to say the wrong thing. Wounds/sensitivities may be projected so that everything sounds hurtful. Watch for backhanded compliments (passive-aggressive) or compliments that are genuine but rub someone the wrong way (unintentionally hurtful).

Compromise and diplomacy will not be favoured. You probably won’t see the painful words coming because Mercury in Libra is not blunt. Focus on the unpleasant issue and talk about it as best you can. Accept that the discussion will not be smooth, but Chiron shouldn’t be ignored. This could also be a good time to apologize.

  • Mercury in Virgo inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

The inconjunct is about integrating discordant energies. We have Mercury in Virgo with the helpful suggestions and focus on what’s broken. And we have Chiron in Aries – the wounded warrior, the path forward that demands courage while you’re hurting.

Chiron’s wound must be acknowledged without trying to fix it. Mercury in Virgo needs to recognize what’s happening, even analyze it, but refrain from offering solutions. Because there are no solutions and trying to say the “right” thing will trigger more hurt.

Think about what happens when you offer unwanted advice or helpful observations.

The challenge here is to listen and observe without pointing out how it could be better. Emphasize but don’t judge. If you identify a painful area in your life, your challenge will be to not get caught up in searching for a fix – there is no fix, you just have to admit that it’s not perfect and you’ve done your best.

  • Virgo Sun inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

  • Virgo Sun square Ceres in Sagittarius (4 deg)

  • Mars in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

Sun

The inconjunct to Chiron illuminates what hurts and what cannot be fixed. Virgo Sun’s purpose is to correct, but this influence will expose the wound that must be confronted rather than neatly tidied up. The focus on what sticks out like a sore thumb (Chiron in Aries) can emphasize distorted Virgo issues of not being good enough/smart enough.

But the messy, aggressive issue can increase awareness that this is a work in progress which requires empathy – helping others by acknowledging their battle rather than enforcing militant solutions. The Sun’s square to Ceres also hints at a crisis of nurturing – trying so hard to care and protect that good intentions become smothering. Freedom or ideals can trigger anxiety, with a resulting focus on “shoulds” and details that stifle growth.

Mars

Mars/Uranus is a nice antidote to the above. Precise, studious actions are injected with enough innovation that they enable change. Moving forward step-by-step can gradually reveal new details. Excellent for working on something that requires careful progress. This aspect also helps to counteract the Virgo paralysis that occurs with the loop of endless corrections: Uranus provides a nudge that keeps you moving.

If you get caught up in anxiety or fears of failure, slow down and initiate one small change at a time.

  • Chiron Rx in Aries trine Ceres in Sagittarius (4 deg)

The painful issue can be addressed with expansive nurturing. Chiron in Aries is about the courage to be uncomfortable/stand out/fight while you’re hurting. It’s the new, painful battle. Ceres in Sag can help you integrate those issues via learning, exploration or the growth of faith. This aspect says it’s ok to bleed a bit – the wound won’t stop you from reaching further.

Actually, the further you reach the more care and support you’ll find. The Fire energy encourages motivation, passion and hope for the future.

This is the second of two trines (the first occurred on June 6th when Chiron was direct and Ceres Rx). So you’re revisiting what hurts, maybe taking another shot at something that requires more faith.

In mundane matters this can point to a course of education about healing/food issues or successfully addressing difficult legal matters involving mother/child.

  • Venus and Mars in Virgo inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (5 deg)

The Venus/Mars conjunction has another layer as it makes an awkward aspect to Chiron. A wound or sensitivity will be triggered by acting on what you want. This is more of a side thing than the main story, but it will factor in. Pay attention to the slim but annoying thread of doubt or dissatisfaction, even if you get exactly what you desire.

Virgo is never entirely satisfied – the awareness of what needs to be improved means that even when things are “perfect” there’s always something that could be better. Consider if that’s the case here – you might be able to make adjustments, but don’t allow what you’ve achieved to be undermined by what’s not quite right. Recognize the line between improvement and attempting to fix what can’t be repaired (sometimes it just hurts).
