Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

All that we’ve been learning and experiencing will be in the light of the adventurous Sagittarius Full Moon, Monday June 17. Intentions from the Gemini New Moon will come to peak. We’ll have our fifteen minutes of shine, which will allow for the process of letting go, release, and an ending. Where we’ve felt caged […]

June 14th, 2019: Mars in Cancer Opposes Saturn Rx

  • Waxing Inconjunct between the Scorpio Moon and Gemini Sun (23 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer opposite Saturn Rx in Capricorn (18 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer inconjunct Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (18 deg)

An uneasy day, as the Waxing Inconjunct demands depth in a light situation. While it may be quicker and easier to flip through the information, there’s something beneath the surface that can’t be ignored. One choice or fact needs to be examined more closely for an uncomfortable truth. Before you can progress any further, you need to dip into the deep end.

And Mars is opposing Saturn Rx. This is a tough one, as action/anger/passion is blocked or repressed. Mars in Cancer is the volatile, emotional push and Saturn is the restrictive authority. You could run up against someone who demands you grow up or forces you to stop. An opposition is a culmination, so this could also be a hard ending. Saturn is Rx, so the rule/limit is something you’ve encountered before.

Mars’ inconjunct to Jupiter Rx suggests a struggle to be free (from Saturn). But this aspect is a tense one, so there could be uneven surges of anger or bursts of exaggerated action that quickly fizzle out. Flailing about is not the way to deal with today’s influences.

Mars’ calm trine to Neptune can help, as it suggests a gentle, measured flow of release and acceptance. You’re not crouched in defeat (although you may be tempted to freeze up and curl up). Rather, you take a deep breath, accept that there are certain limits and responsibilities, then focus your energy in a direction where you can move. Mars/Neptune can help you transcend frustration, cruelty and delays if you stop fighting and just go where the current takes you. And Neptune indicates that there is another direction you can flow in -perhaps around that block?

June 13th, 2019: Venus in Gemini Sextile Chiron

  • Venus in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries (5 deg)

There’s more than one way to deal with the wound, as long as you keep it light. Venus in Gemini is the multi-layered social interaction or new understanding of what’s beautiful. If you open your eyes and talk about what you want (or listen to what they want) you’ll discover empathy for what hurts.

This is a gentle influence – not heavy or emotionally charged. You touch on what hurts and then move away. Perhaps you return from a different angle, then move away again. At the same time, Chiron adds a bit of texture to Venus’ sometimes-superficial approach as the suggestion of awkwardness or fear adds a layer of attraction.

Maybe you can even muster a smile – this does not invalidate the pain.

June 12th, 2019: The Natural Choice

  • Waxing Trine between the Libra Moon and Gemini Sun (21 deg)

  • Venus in Gemini opposite Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (4 deg)

  • Venus in Gemini square Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (4 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer conjunct the North Node (17 deg)

The Waxing Trine allows you to blend relationship prompts with choices and new information. Excellent for socializing, sharing with others and making the natural choice regarding social interactions. The exchange of information should move effortlessly and in a balanced way.

The Mars/North Node conjunction adds to the encouragement, as actions based on needs and emotions carry you forward. Stepping away from the past and into an area that’s satisfying and speaks to you on a gut level is emphasized – do not be afraid to do what feels right even if you can’t articulate it.

However, continuing the story from yesterday’s Ceres/BML square, we see Venus in Gemini opposing Ceres and squaring Lilith. Different facets of female energy are at odds – the mother (Ceres) the taboo woman (BML) and the more familiar/typical expression of femininity (Venus). Choices about relationships and/or expressing your female identity are in flux. None of the choices will be easy, as they oppose an area of nurturing and trigger a crisis around undermining or “unacceptable” female sexual energy. Maybe two women or two sides yourself will be involved (Gemini means duality).

And yet, the choices must be (carefully) explored and the options weighed. Venus rules the Libra Moon, so the Waxing Trine can help with this. Choose what comes naturally and go in the direction that seems to be unfolding most easily. You won’t be able to make everyone happy, but that’s not what this is about.

At the same time, keep in mind that Mars over the North Node means you are moving forward. You’re doing it differently this time. Break those old habits.

Surf the Incoming Wave, or Surrender To It

As we journey into this new week; there’s a good chance of some experiences being blown out of proportion with the amplified Sun/Jupiter opposition on Monday June 10. Something pretty significant seems to be coming our way, and rather than get TOO lost in it – practice a little gratitude and humility to stay balanced. […]

June 10th, 2019: The Crisis of Precision

  • First Quarter Square between the Virgo Moon and Gemini Sun (19 deg)

  • Virgo Moon square Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (19 deg)

  • Sun in Gemini opposite Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius ( 19 deg)

The First Quarter Square involves tense aspects to Jupiter Rx. Specific details challenge hopeful results. While those results (Sun/Jupiter) can deliver a ton of opportunity, you’re encouraged to look closely at hard truths (Virgo Moon) that are emerging. These may be annoying or unpleasant little details that you’d rather not bother with, but if they reveal mistakes you’ll have to take action and make corrections.

Doubts can be raised, but they do not invalidate this opportunity. Note that the Sun is opposing Jupiter after its square to Neptune yesterday, so you’re moving on from vague/confusing issues to a big finish. You just have to pay attention to small corrections that need to made now. Truth versus lies or precision versus carelessness may be themes. The trick is not allowing the details to puncture your hope – make the corrections and then see what you can move forward with.

This is all building to the second Jupiter/Neptune square on June 16th – the crisis of expansion as dreams cause tension with faith or honesty. Jupiter is Rx, so now is the time to ask those questions. If you handle this First Quarter Square correctly, you may have a handle on the slippery Jupiter/Neptune square when it hits.
