  • Sun conjunct Mercury Rx in Cancer (28 deg)

  • Venus in Cancer opposite Pluto Rx in Capricorn (21 deg)

Watch for some uncomfortable truths to be revealed. Sun/Mercury is the midpoint of the Mercury’s Rx, so emotional facts/info should be illuminated. You may gain an understanding of family issues/issues from the past. Or, the return to a past conversation can reveal a truth that you feel and understand.

Venus/Pluto adds an intense conclusion to the above. Pluto unearths dark compulsions, fears, obsessions or desires that lie behind Venus’ money, relationship or self-esteem issues. There can also be a profound “death” in one of these situations. The greater the attraction (or the more powerful the ending) the greater the transformation potential. Venus in Cancer wants safety and comfort, but Pluto insists on pushing things outside the comfort zone.

Oppositions also suggest projection, so these aspects can reveal some interesting facts about what you think you want – often, someone embodies what you need to develop within yourself, and your all-consuming obsession with them is simply a reflection of this.

It may feel as if what you want or have is wrapped up in primal, childhood dynamics. Power/domination can create unbalanced relationships with one partner as parent and the other as child. The Sun/Mercury conjunction will reveal a truth about these dynamics, so keep your eyes open.

  • Waning Inconjunct between the Aquarius Moon and Cancer Sun (26 deg)

  • Mercury Rx re-enters Cancer (3:06 AM EDT)

The Waning Inconjunct is a reminder that after the up close and personal Full Moon eclipse (on the 16th) it’s time to detach somewhat from those results. You may want to cling to the intensity, even if the results were not in your favour. You may want to wallow or obsess. Obviously you can’t ignore those results, but if you take one step back you’ll see there’s more going on. Perhaps you need to reclaim your independence, your freedom, your individuality. Looking away will feel unnatural, but it’s necessary.

Mercury Rx’s return to Cancer adds another layer to the above. Yes, Cancer is a personal sign, but Mercury Rx is about looking/asking again. So you’re taking a closer look at the subjective issue – you’re applying logic, reasoning, intellect. You’re not just allowing the feelings to wash over you: you’re asking “Why?”

The Waning Inconjunct will give you the needed distance to view those personal/family issues in a new light.

July 18th, 2019: Venus Trine Neptune, Mercury Rx Trine Ceres

  • Venus in Cancer trine Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Leo trine Ceres in Sagittarius (0 deg)

The trine from Neptune takes the edge off the Venus/Saturn opposition. After the restrictions comes a gentle release and increase in acceptance, grace or relief. Neptune expands where Saturn restricted and opens up possibilities that exist to the side of Saturn’s rules. If the Saturn opposition brought a commitment or official result, Neptune can enhance the good stuff.

Mercury makes the second of three trines to Ceres, asking you to have faith in what you’re hearing or saying. The first trine occurred on June 29th when Ceres was Rx, and now that Mercury is Rx (and Ceres is direct) you may be asking again or reconsidering what you’ve learned, involving an area of nurturing and exploration. Keep honing your message, because it can grow into something bigger.

July 17th, 2019: Venus in Cancer Opposing Saturn

John Bauer

  • Venus in Cancer opposite Saturn Rx in Capricorn (16 deg_

  • Venus conjunct the North Node (17 deg)

  • Ceres stations direct (0 deg Sagittarius)

Venus opposing the ruler of July 16th’s eclipse indicates that the eclipse results will deliver a reality check around what you want and love. This could be a commitment, ending or hard definition that locks you in to what you want.

Sometimes strict boundaries can be a good thing, especially if you’ve been craving security and tradition. If so, this eclipse could deliver a very reassuring conclusion. But if you end up being denied, know that Venus’ move over the North Node says it’s time to move on, no matter what. The future awaits, and it’s full of the authentic, nurturing expression of what you want and need. Saturn is just making it easier to get there, because you can’t go back (and you probably don’t want to).

If you’re feeling unloved, pressured or restricted (you can’t enjoy what you want to enjoy) know that this is part of the maturity process. Draw your line, define your values, move on. Take responsibility for what you want – family and parental issues are key. Remember that you’re moving towards what you want and need. This is not some random craving or indulgence. You’re taking a hard look at what you’re ready to commit to. Consider the line between want and need (very important). The two are combined now, so it’s about more than indulgence.

Ceres direct continues the theme of forward movement – expansive nurturing or the exploration of growth in new areas is now ready to progress. Watch for movement in something you’ve put your faith in.

July 16th, 2019: Too Much of a Good Thing

Lawrence Alma-Tadema

  • Venus in Cancer inconjunct Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (15 deg)

Familiar manifestations of love, affection and values are at odds with expansion and ideals. You may want more without knowing exactly what that consists of. There can be dissatisfaction with domestic issues or a craving for something extra that you try to assuage with food or smothering/needy expressions of affection. Family relationships can cross certain boundaries because of well-meaning attempts to create happiness.

Consider what you want, then consider why it feels like it’s not enough. The discomfort is a message, but there needs to be a balance between more versus what you have.
