March 5th, 2019: Mercury Stations Retrograde

  • Mercury stations Rx (29 deg Pisces)

  • Neptune conjunct Vesta in Pisces (6 deg)

Mercury stations retrograde in the final degree of Pisces. A dream, undefined agreement or meandering conversation that you thought was complete is anything but. There are more layers of truth (or lies) to be revealed as you look closely at the shifting facts.

Mercury Rx in Pisces can push you to search for what’s missing. You may return to a past dream, creative work or unreliable contact. Opinions can dissolve as if they were never there, and the search for an ultimate idea can intensify. This is a time to explore but not decide. A time to search and allow information to emerge, but not to pin anything down (yet). Expect confusion as certain people lie/deny/obfuscate. The truth will come out, but it will be a circuitous process.

Here are the aspects Mercury Rx will make:

  • Mar 10th: inconjunct Pallas Rx in Libra (27 deg)

  • Mar 14th: trine the Cancer North Node (24 deg)

  • Mar 14th: conjunct the Sun (24 deg)

  • Mar 15th: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (23 deg)

  • Mar 16th: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (22 deg)

  • Mar 17th: conjunct Vesta (21 deg)

  • Mar 17th: sextile Mars in Taurus (21 deg)

  • Mar 20th: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (19 deg)

  • Mar 24th: conjunct Neptune (16 deg)

  • Mar 24th: square Juno in Gemini (17 deg)

  • Mar 28th: stations direct (16 deg)

Neptune conjunct Vesta suggests Mercury’s Rx will be part of the search for a higher vision. Vesta is sacred devotion/focus and when combined with Neptune, that focus is trained on what transcends the current limits. So this Mercury Rx is about more than missing facts – the ultimate goal will involve something that’s sacred to you. It may take awhile to get there (there is no direct route through Pisces) but trust that it’s emerging.

Crises of belief are part of the process. What are you doubting? If everything is in flux, know that this is the way it’s meant to be for now. At the same time, keep track of that higher goal – what would you ultimately like to hear? That’s your guiding light.

Your Monthly Podcast

Oh my!  We are deep into Poseidon’s watery territory this month. Watch out for the jellyfish and the sharks. On the other hand, look at those flashing schools of multi-coloured fish over on that coral reef, and some dolphins disporting themselves on those waves and a mermaid on that rock singing hallelujahs. Pour yourself a Cosmopolitan and have a listen! And maybe slap some slices of cucumber on your eyelids…

February 17th, 2019: Awkward Feelings

  • Waxing Inconjunct between the Cancer Moon and Aquarius Sun (28 deg)

  • Venus in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces (15 deg)

The Waxing Inconjunct presents a difficult adjustment between objective Aquarius and subjective Cancer. Emotions will interfere with detachment, disrupting a cool vibe. But the messy, uncomfortable mood should not be ignored – pay attention to where you’re vulnerable or insecure. These awkward feelings need to be attended to (before you can move forward). If you can still maintain a bit of objectivity, even better.

Venus activates the first part of the Saturn/Neptune sextile. She will conjoin Saturn tomorrow, but today is a gentle reminder that there’s more to what you want than rules, status or work. Remembering that Saturn/Neptune is about making a small sacrifice in order to manifest (Saturn) a dream (Neptune) today’s aspect can gently widen your awareness. Tune into the compassionate or spiritual undertones in a material issue or formal commitment.

Saturn/Neptune

Saturn and Neptune make the first of three sextiles this year. Form (Saturn) harmonizes with what dissolves (Neptune) form for subtle but effective energy. This is the aspect for gradual changes to rules or structure. And, you can make certain dreams real.

But Saturn and Neptune together also imply some kind of sacrifice. Specifically, Saturn’s reality puts limits on Neptune’s dreams. Even though the sextile is a harmonious aspect, there will still be a small sacrifice required to get what you want. You will have to work extra hard and give something up in order to create. You will have to be patient and serene but also disciplined.

This aspect will not deliver quick results or glory/security/wealth. But if you tap into it with soft control, you can create something new (based on a pre-existing structure).

  • June 18th: Saturn Rx sextile Neptune (18 deg)

  • November 8th: Saturn sextile Neptune Rx (16 deg)

Venus

Venus in Sag is the focal point of an aspect configuration called a Yod as she makes an awkward inconjunct to the Cancer North Node and Juno in Taurus. Juno/NN (the base of the Yod) form a stable sextile with each other – set partnership agreements (Juno) will support the path forward to emotional security (North Node). But the inconjuncts to Venus means new options, lessons or opportunities (Sagittarius) will challenge this security.

With a Yod, the only way to move forward is to incorporate the focal point energy – explore new options and broaden your definitions of what’s right/acceptable in the areas of love, money or values. If you don’t incorporate what’s new, the relationship agreement you have will stagnate. Explore and have faith while maintaining your security base.

January 20th, 2019: The Mirage Versus Solid Ground

  • Venus in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces (14 deg)

  • Mercury in Capricorn trine Juno in Taurus (23 deg)

Venus/Neptune

Venus in Sag is about more of what you want – great expectations regarding relationships, money or self-esteem. This can be a nice boost if handled correctly (faith in what you want and love) but a square to Neptune blurs the lines between expectation and reality. It will be easy to overdo it – spend too much, give too much, expect too much from someone else. Maybe you envision what you want but when you arrive at your destination the vision turns out to be a mirage.

This could manifest as falling in love with someone’s potential (Sag is about the journey and distant horizons) but ignoring what they’re doing/not doing in the present. The future (Sagittarius) fantasy (Neptune) is seductive (Venus) and draws you forward.

Be careful with this one- the imaginative scope is fantastic, but you could end up severely disappointed (or in debt) if you lose sight of what’s actually possible.

Mercury/Juno

Mercury/Juno offers a shot of grounding realism that can lessen some of Venus/Neptune’s side effects. Words and ideas that follow the rules will blend nicely with a partnership that’s grounded in the moment. This is about taking a sober look at what you and another actually share and agree on, right now. What are your joint finances and habits like?

A solid commitment to the present will solidify a partnership.
