Jupiter enthusiastically bumps up the Sun’s goals and ambitions, urging you to push the limits while maintaining faith that it will work out. Although there is a risk of exaggerated striving for status, Sun/Chiron takes the edge off with a reminder of empathy. Too, Sun/Jupiter’s confidence can push you past a moment of hesitation or weakness. These aspects are part of the January 12th Full Moon in Cancer.
Aspects between Mars and Pluto usually involve brute force. But the gentle sextile, and Pisces’ softening influence, create a very manageable expression of will. Pluto adds strength to efforts which might otherwise be diluted in Pisces. Mars is the easy, conscious expression of Pluto’s unconscious issues. This is a manifestation aspect – ideals (and even fantasies) are given a nudge of possibility.
Pallas over the South Node indicates a pattern, creative strategy or transcendental idea whose time has come. You may be dipping into the past, or the pattern may be revealed to you in a moment where fate and intuition intersect. If it feels right, follow that thread.
Overall, this is an excellent day to go for it, especially if you’ve been hesitating to act on something. It’s not impossible – there’s a higher goal/vision that you now have access to.

Sun/Pluto illuminates an essential change to the structure, or an issue of absolute power supported by the structure. If it’s stagnant or outdated, it will crumble. If the time has come to realize full potential, authority and manifestation will be unquestionable. Combined with today’s Venus/South Node conjunction, this could suggest a relationship (business or personal) that has reached a turning point.
Pluto’s association with death and the South Node’s ties to the past could indicate an ending. Or, the moment could be ripe with karmic potential, as what’s been developing comes to fruition. Venus over the Pisces South Node dissolves the past and expands the future. Whether you’re letting go or welcoming something new, a sacrifice may be part of the deal. Venus in Pisces is transpersonal, so it can never be just about you – you may have to give up to get what you want.
Chiron/Juno suggests a painful moment involving commitment and freedom. One partner’s ideals (and desire to explore) may hurt the other. Or, a partnership ideal may disappoint, with resulting bruises. This hints at the sacrifice involved with Venus/South Node.

Mercury’s retrograde in Capricorn called for a review of the rules. As Mercury backs into Sagittarius, the review will expand to include what lies beyond the rules: faith, truth (or lies) hopes and ideals. The big picture will be questioned, and a promise from the past may have to be delivered on, or dropped. After looking closely at the structure, the big idea may not hold up. You may have to redo more than anticipated.
Fortunately, you won’t have to go back too far back. Mercury will only make it to 28 degrees Sagittarius. Then it will station direct on January 8th.

New social or romantic impulses will trigger deeper issues of jealousy and anger. Stepping outside the lines may raise more controversy than anticipated, as darker sexual dynamics are churned up. Others may react to what you can’t see, and the desire to love in your own way can be driven by destructive urges. Aquarius’ clear, dispassionate light emphasizes Scorpio’s shadow.
