July 5th, 2019: Juno and Black Moon Lilith

Philip de László

Philip de László

  • Juno in Leo inconjunct Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (6 deg)

Juno in Leo is the proud wife or partner. BML is the other woman/taboo woman. In Pisces, this suggests a sacrifice, loss or transcendence (rising above). Lilith is at odds with Juno, and the inconjunct says that an adjustment must be made between them.

That means an agreement or issue of pride/ fidelity must be adjusted with a sacrifice. Perhaps one partner’s ego needs to be set aside to make room for BML’s controversial energy. However, this must be done in a way that doesn’t undermine the agreement – the acceptance (Pisces) of something shouldn’t be so humbling that it’s victimizing.

July 4th, 2019: Saturn Conjunct the South Node

Giovanni Segantini

  • Saturn Rx conjunct the Capricorn South Node (17 deg)

Here we have the second of three conjunctions. Saturn (rules, limits, responsibility, authority) over the South Node (the past) is about old Saturn issues coming home to roost. Daddy issues. Obligations. Fears. Traditions.

There’s a culmination – a confrontation that cannot be avoided. You may be reaping the results of responsibilities you’ve avoided. Of, if you’ve been diligently doing the work, perhaps you’re wrapping up a long-standing obligation that will soon be over. Maybe you’re reconnecting with your father, or your fears, or your limits. In some cases, you may even be rewarded with increased authority or an official commitment (yes, Saturn can deliver rewards).

But it’s not over – this is a long process that began around April 30th (the first conjunction) and will conclude around September 28th (the final conjunction). The first and second conjunctions feature Saturn Rx (reversed) so there’s an even greater emphasis on going back to the past and taking yet another look at that line. The final conjunction will be Saturn direct – progress. It may even feel a touch less heavy. Why is it dragging on for so long? Well, it would appear that something requires your undivided attention and commitment. It’s not a quick thing (Saturn is never quick).

If you’re feeling weighed down, take heart – you’re halfway through your thing. If you’ve been avoiding this, it will be much easier on you if you just take a deep breath and deal with it. You do not want to shrug Saturn off.

In some way, there’s a weight from the past that you still need to carry.

June 29th, 2019: Cancer Sun Sextile Vesta

  • Sun in Cancer sextile Vesta in Taurus (8 deg)

An area of devotion is subtly empowered. Absolute focus on habits, resources (including money) and security (Vesta in Taurus) is given purpose by emotional or family issues. Pay attention to the gentle intensification of what you need/feel by what you must have or what you’re trying to preserve.

This aspect can solidify a family matter or confirm your security/safety with a gentle nudge – a hint that you’re looking in the correct area. Security is sacred and family values can support abundance. The mood is quietly satisfied.

  • Mercury in Leo trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (1 deg)

Bold statements/ideas are nurtured by exploration. This is about having faith (Sagittarius) in what you’re communicating, or forging ahead with the growth of a creative idea. This energy is confident and outgoing, and Mercury/Ceres suggests information about growth, women/children or food.

However, this is the first of three trines between Mercury and Ceres, due to Mercury’s Rx:

  • Jul 18th: Mercury Rx in Leo trine Ceres in Sag (0 deg)

  • Aug 14th: Mercury in Leo trine Ceres in Sag (2 deg)

The conversation, plan or course of learning has only just begun. There will be revisions/delays, with progress in August. But start the discussion now – it’s a process.

June 25th, 2019: Last Quarter Square and a Grand Trine

Last Quarter.jpg

  • Moon in Aries trine Juno in Leo (2 deg)

  • Moon in Aries trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Last Quarter Square between the Aries Moon and Cancer Sun (3 deg)

  • Moon conjunct Chiron (5 deg)

  • Juno in Leo trine Ceres Rx in Sagittarius (2 deg)

Last Quarter Square

Here we have a crisis between strength and vulnerability. You were safe, relying on what was familiar. But that’s starting to feel suffocating, and a restless impulse emerges to assertively question family or security. This may be a brand new issue, and the Moon’s conjunction to Chiron indicates that it will involve an uncomfortable mix of putting yourself out there (Aries) while being vulnerable. Perhaps there’s a family wound that needs to be confronted.

Grand Fire Trine

But the Moon is also part of a Grand Fire Trine involving Juno (partnership agreements) and Ceres (nurturing). So there’s a smooth flow of vibrant, confident energy that encourages bold questions and confrontations. Juno trine Ceres is the nurturing agreement which encourages pride and confidence between partners. If we add in Moon/Chiron, it suggests support (via this agreement) for these new questions that make you feel vulnerable. Or, perhaps there can be an agreement to confront the uncomfortable stuff.

Either way, you can tap into this energy to help you through the tension of the Last Quarter Square.
