Jupiter enters Capricorn on December 2nd at 1:20 PM EST. Jupiter is expansion, optimism, beliefs and ideals. Capricorn is reality and limits. Combine the two and you get focused growth and solid gains. But also, expansion of existing fears, blockages or the misuse of authority.
Jupiter increases everything.
Technically, Jupiter is also in its fall in Capricorn (it’s supposed to be weak in this sign) but I’m not worried about this. In my opinion, you’ll have to work harder for growth in the Capricorn area of your chart (and the growth you do see will be focused) but that’s not a bad thing. You’ll appreciate the opportunities more.
So. The essence of this transit is working with your current reality in order to make gains. There will be opportunities, but they will demand your commitment. If you do the work and play by the rules, you can receive concrete rewards. What’s the most you can do with your current reality? Think big, and then commit. If you ignore reality or do nothing, you’ll get nothing or (depending on how Jupiter is aspecting your chart) you’ll see exaggerated fears and a confrontation with limits.
This is about proving beliefs and backing up promises with responsible effort. Stories will also have to be proven, or else they’ll be discarded. The time for unfounded optimism or the grand sales pitch is over. Note that Jupiter is also about religion (spirituality in a man-made context) and when moving through hierarchical Capricorn, there might be some interesting developments in how beliefs/religious traditions impact your life.
Jupiter will exit Capricorn for Aquarius on December 19th, 2020. So that’s just over a year’s worth of solid growth and real opportunities to learn, teach or expand your structure, status, authority.
This also means there’s going to be a significant pile up in Capricorn, because Saturn and Pluto are already occupying this sign. On January 12th 2020, Saturn will unite with Pluto, at 22 degrees Capricorn. This will be a fusion of authority and power, and the start of a new cycle, triggering a rebuild (the fall of old authority and the birth of new authority). Or, for those who have been working their butts off and doing it right, a confirmation of their power.
I published a PDF about this a while ago (a house by house analysis of how Saturn/Pluto might impact your chart-you need to know your birth time). If you haven’t already purchased it, here’s a link.

Venus enters Capricorn on November 25th, 7:28 PM EST. Relationships, finances, values and self-esteem take on a structured and traditional focus. What you want and love may be dominated by issues of status and concrete success. Capricorn is all business and you can attract good things if you focus exclusively on what you want while being realistic. And, you can attract benefits if you play by the rules.
However, the shadow side of Venus in Capricorn involves the denial of authentic relationships/values In favour of rigid and outdated traditions. Part of being an adult (a Capricorn signature) Is knowing when it works for you and when you’ve outgrown it. And if you don’t know? Maybe you don’t even really know what you want or what defines your self- worth: this transit can clarify things as you encounter hard limits and responsibilities.
Standards are elevated and success is the driver. Authority is beautiful. But you have to work for what you want. Romance, dreams and vague boundaries will not cut it. Are you ready to commit to someone or to your own defined values? This transit can separate the adults from the children when it comes to love, self- esteem or money: you will attract what you’re ready to commit to and you will experience blockages around what you’re not serious or realistic about.
Here are the aspects Venus in Capricorn will make. Venus exits Capricorn for Aquarius on December 20th.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on November 22nd at 9:58 AM EST. Now we enter the season of expansion and new possibilities. Nothing is proven, but the hope of what could be is paramount. “Potential” is the key word.
This sign is about exploration and humour; we keep moving forward because we do not allow the seriousness of events to weigh us down. However, issues of right/wrong and truth/wisdom are approached with passion or fanaticism. Humour does not mean that big- picture issues are discounted. Optimism needs a direction, and that can run the gamut from open-minded curiosity about everything to radical crusades designed to convert everyone.
Will certain legal or political “truths” emerge during the Sagittarius season? Perhaps. With Sag, truth is often woven into a very convincing story.
But overall, the energy of this Jupiter -ruled sign is about bigger and better. Things have a tendency to increase and self-control flies out the window. But it’s always fun to tap into this energy if you want to celebrate and look forward to the future. And having something to look forward to is essential for progress.
Here are the aspects the Sagittarius Sun will make.
Nov 26th: New Moon (4°)
Dec 12th: Full Moon in Gemini (19°)
The Sun will enter Capricorn On December 21st.

Mercury in Scorpio stations direct (11° at 2:11 PM EST)
Chiron RX in Aries square Ceres in Capricorn (1 °)
Mercury direct gives you the go -ahead regarding issues that have been delayed, reviewed or questioned since October 31st. The in-depth examination or exposure of secrets is now over- it’s time to move forward with what you know (and that includes speaking out, if necessary).
Chiron/Ceres triggers some difficult dynamics around rigid or traditional nurturing. Ceres is about mother’s nurturing and the cycle of life, loss and rebirth. Attempts to parent someone could bring out painful dynamics as they struggle to maintain their independence. Nurturing can be used as a tool to control, even if this is not done consciously. Or, a defined crisis point in the cycle of life and loss can be very uncomfortable-understand that this cycle cannot be controlled, and that is perhaps the most painful part.
If you’re confronting this crisis, use Mercury’s direct motion to advance the conversation or your inner knowledge.
