You know how sometimes you will see someone on Facebook who has listed their relationship status as “complicated”? This should not come as a surprise, because most relationships (even good ones) get complicated every once in a while. Listing your relationship status as “complicated” can have a lot of meanings. It could be a desperate cry for attention. It could be an invitation to have someone new come into your life without finishing the current relationship first. It’s like a distress signal without any indication of what the emergency is or where it’s at. Frustrating, isn’t it?
Having said that, this week’s astrological love and romance outlook is… complicated.
On the one hand, we can thank Venus trine Mars for an overall increase in the urge to meet, greet, and mate… especially since both planets are in fire signs (Sagittarius and Aries, respectively). Add Mercury conjunct Pluto to that, and you could well expect the conversations on first dates and in single’s bars to be a little more to the point.
Sounds great, right? Not so fast there. Although Venus and Mars are doing great things for each other this week, both planets are in complicated relationships with other planets. Venus square Neptune is sweet and kind and caring, but it’s also completely unrealistic. This could be a week when a lot of relationships flare up quickly and then burn out soon afterwards.
We also have Sun square Uranus to deal with, which has an overall tendency to make people a little too impulsive for their own good.
What really makes all of the above interesting is that every aspect I’ve mentioned so far in this forecast is exact between Friday and Sunday… in other words, the time of the week when the most people are out there looking for love and romance.
Finally, if all of that isn’t wild enough for your taste, Mars is approaching the square to Saturn. That means that whatever you want out of your love life, assuming you can even figure that out, is probably going to be harder than average to get… and Venus is also approaching the conjunction to Jupiter, when one is going to feeling kinder and more receptive to romance. The punchline to all of this is that Jupiter square Neptune, which I talked about here last week, is still very much in effect. That aspect is going to give people all kinds of ideas about what they want out of life and love, but frankly? Getting real, lasting, and practical results is going to be like nailing Jell-O to the wall.
So, um, yeah. Complicated.
