So now that Jupiter (natural ruler of committed relationships) has entered Sagittarius (the sign that Jupiter rules), you and all my other regular readers will by now have gotten successfully married to your soul mate and you no longer need romantic astrological advice. It’s been fun!
Oh, you’re still here. Yeah I guess Jupiter in Sagittarius isn’t quite as much of a a magic bullet that way as far as committed relationships. It certainly won’t hurt though, so let’s get you one of those, shall we?
If you are looking for the energy and motivation to get out and get dating, you’re looking at Mars. Mars is in Aquarius for most of this week. Aquarius may have a bit of a reputation for being cool and detached, but when Mars is in that sign it’s often easier to talk someone into something (by which I mean, bed.) Then on Thursday, Mars enters Pisces. Pisces may not be the most comfortable place for Mars to be, but it can respond well to basic affection and occasionally to deep dramatic situations. Keep that in mind while you’re honing your seduction skills this week. Think of the first part of the week as being good for enthusiastic and innovative sex, and the weekend as better suited to deep and soulful sex. But, all generalizations about Mars in Pisces aside, it’s the aspects that really pump the power into a planet, and Mars is subject to a couple of powerful planetary interactions this week.
Mars spends the next two weeks within range of two important aspects. As soon as Mars enters Pisces, it will be sextile Uranus. Mars sextile Uranus is a creative time for your ambitions, achieving your goals, and generally getting frisky. That may sound like fun, but be careful you invest that energy wisely. Although the aspect isn’t exact until next week, Mars square Jupiter starts kicking in around the weekend. That will probably further amplify your drive, but it may do so to the point you’re tempted to do something ill-advised. In other words, if you were going to make a visit to the love buffet, make sure you weren’t absolutely starving when you get there. Otherwise you might end up with a pretty severe belly ache.
If your goals are a little more soft, gentle, and romantic, you’ll be pleased to know that Venus retrograde ends on Thursday… in Libra no less (which Venus rules). All else being equal, this should make dating and forming new connections go a lot more smoothly. Well, in theory at least: that’s also the day that Mercury turns retrograde. Make sure you proofread that personal ad thoroughly before you post it!
