This week offers some decent opportunities for romance, with (of course!) the occasional glitch or two thrown in to make things interesting. That’s always the case with love though, isn’t it?
On Tuesday, the Sun enters Scorpio. I will break with the usual tradition among those who write about astrology and not make any references to death, the dark side and/or sex that so many of us automatically leap to when discussing the sign of the scorpion. Halloween is next week, and if that doesn’t illustrate the point clearly enough, nothing will (sorry Scorpio, I just had to say it).
On Wednesday, there is a Full Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon always brings with it some potential for disruption, and this Full Moon is particularly interesting within the context of a love and romance horoscope. The Sun is conjunct Venus (with the conjunction becoming exact on Friday). Even with Venus being retrograde, normally this would be a good time to advance your agenda with a loved one. The only problem with this Sun-Venus conjunction is that it is happening opposite Moon conjunct Uranus. That’s a particularly wild and emotionally disruptive aspect. Unless your specific romance plans for that day involve something like “a sudden and random argument with a loved one followed by hooking up with someone you just met,” or something equally as ill-advised, your best strategy for handling this Full Moon may be to simply smile and nod a lot, and pretend to be coming down with a cold rather than go out on a date. On the other hand, if your love live needs shaking up? Get out there Wednesday and do some shaking!
Despite the occasional touch of chaos, overall the week’s most dominant aspect provides the opportunity to build something relatively solid and permanent from whatever wreckage the week’s explosions throw your way. Venus sextile Saturn, if you work with the energy consciously and wisely, is an outstanding time to find some stability in your romantic life, whether it is starting a new initiative in your current relationship or getting out there and seeking something more stable and more emotionally nourishing. In fact, even if everything is running perfectly smoothly and according to plan with your love life now, you might want to take advantage of this aspect while you can to reinforce your foundations. As I mentioned earlier, next week brings us Halloween. Traditionally that’s a time when people get a little weird even under the best of circumstances, but this Halloween features an exact Venus-Uranus opposition. There is nothing “little” about the amount of weirdness/adventure/excitement that aspect could be bringing into your romantic picture…
