The big astrological news this week is Saturn entering Sagittarius. On the one hand: yes, that’s a big deal. On the other hand, though? There aren’t likely to be many gigantic dramatic changes in the world on Tuesday just because Saturn has changed Signs. Saturn is patient, and doesn’t rush to get its work done all on the first day. (Also: undoubtedly the Scorpios out they are all breathing a sigh of relief now that Saturn is someone else’s problem. Well, not so fast, Scorpion people: thanks to a retrograde, Saturn will be back in your Sign in the spring. Sorry about that.)
If you’re looking for something to blame for whatever goes wrong this week, try Mercury conjunct Pluto and square Uranus. In many ways, Mercury tends to be treated like a “lightweight” among planets by astrologers, and that can be a mistake, especially when you consider that it rules how we communicate to each other. Mercury square Uranus is exact on Wednesday/Thursday but makes its effects felt throughout the week. Make sure that your sudden outbursts of creative new ideas aren’t more wishful thinking the reality, and be careful of verbal outbursts.
The Moon is Void of Course for a large portion of the day on Thursday. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, except that it seems a lot of you went ahead and made plans for December 25th anyway, often involving a gathering of family and friends, just in time for the exact Mercury-Pluto conjunction. But hey… would it really be Christmas without some sort of holiday-based arguing and tension? I think not! The Moon’s last aspect that day is an opposition to Jupiter in Leo, so whatever drama is brewing, you can probably expect a turkey-drumstick-sized helping of it.
The Sun is sextile Neptune on Friday evening, which kicks off the dating scene for the weekend. With the Moon in Pisces on Friday and Saturday, this can make for a double dose of dreamy romance. Normally this would all be good news for date night on Saturday, except that the Moon is Void of Course throughout the evening. Saturday in particular may be better suited to maintaining an existing relationship than trying to start a new one.
Finally, for those of you planning on being up late next Sunday evening/Monday morning, a bit of a warning about your mood. Moon in Aries we will be square Pluto and both conjunct and occult Uranus. Now is not the time to be starting any arguments, or continuing them. Go to bed early just to be safe.
