Love Horoscope for the Week of December 15

weeklyloveThe Uranus-Pluto square is exact on Monday. A transit as long and slow as this one cannot be suddenly expected to act up on that precise day because of that: These two planets have been within a degree of the exact aspect for about a month now. Still, it’s entirely possible that this week will see a flare-up of tensions and issues in your life that have been a problem for the last couple of years or so. Also, it’s good to know that if you’re sick and tired of the Uranus-Pluto square, there is now officially more of it behind us than ahead of us. Yippee! Civilization survived (so far)!

Mercury enters Capricorn on Tuesday. Normally Mercury changing Signs isn’t huge news. However, in this case Mercury in the first few degrees of Capricorn means that it will be sextile Neptune all week long. When the mental and communication functions of Mercury are combined with Capricorn, you can get nice solid results. But throw in a sympathetic aspect to Neptune, and you have some rare potential. This week could be an outstanding time to form and communicate your thoughts and intents in a real practical way, yet with the poetry and charm to convince others as well.

The weekend is traditionally a time reserved for meeting, greeting, and possibly mating. There will be plenty of energy for all of the above this weekend, so get your plans ready early. Venus conjunct Pluto and Mars sextile Uranus on Saturday hold sway over the weekend. A Venus-Pluto combination adds particular strength and urgency to the drive to show love and to be loved. Meanwhile, Uranus energizes Mars in such a way as to increase the need to get out and do something. Mars, of course, also rules the sex drive. So why not do something with all that?

The New Moon on Sunday represents a rare double opportunity to make significant changes in your life. First of all, any new Moon is a good opportunity to stop and check out the circumstances of your life and figure out what direction you should be pointing yourself in for the next month. On top of that though, this new Moon happens as the Sun enters Capricorn. That makes this Sunday the winter solstice, when the dark and the light are evenly divided. From this point onward, things will literally “lighten up.” About time, wouldn’t you say?

Finally, just in case you didn’t get the message: Sunday is also the day that Uranus stations and goes direct. Maybe it’s time for you to hurry up and get your life going…
