For many of us, the world has seemed a little crazier of late, and not necessarily in that “wild and crazy” way that can be a lot of fun. Whatever circumstances you’re facing in your life of late, there are a few stabilizing influences this week, and one wild card.
The wild card this week is Mars in the early degrees of Aquarius, which isn’t receiving any major aspects from any other planets other than fleeting passes from the Moon. Aquarius already has a reputation for liking a good rebellion, and Mars is always eager to join in on a little brick-throwing. Regardless of your personal situation, make sure you’re fighting for the right reason, and not just being a rebel without a cause.
The week begins with Jupiter hitting a station and going retrograde. In general, this is neither a cause for alarm nor celebration. If you have any major replacements in your chart in the Fire or Air Signs around 22°, odds are good that you’ll be feeling a little happier or a bit luckier about things than usual this week. If you have any major placements around 22° of Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius, you might find yourself overdoing things a bit.
Either way, Jupiter is not likely to do you much harm. If you really need something to worry about, Uranus and Pluto are approaching the exact degree of the square again. Technically that doesn’t hit until next week, but a lot of you will be feeling things tightening ahead of time. It’s time once more to examine where the greatest source of tension has been in your life in the last couple of years, and to start strategizing about how to fix it.
On Wednesday, Venus enters Capricorn. Wednesday is also International Human Rights Day, and Venus entering Capricorn seems appropriate. “Human Rights” are one of those warm and fuzzy concepts that everyone approves of but no one ever seems to take practical action on. This is not just a time for the usual soft and fuzzy Venusian feelings: it’s time to take some solid, practical steps. Love is often irrational, but when Venus is in Capricorn it can respond well in an orderly and measured approach.
The weekend dating picture provides us with some interesting opportunities for romance. Jupiter is still powerful, and on Friday it is trine Mercury, and that lasts throughout the weekend. It’s a good time to think of new and interesting ways to have fun.
The other major aspect influencing the weekend is Venus sextile Neptune. If you use the logic and sense of order that comes with Venus in Capricorn, Neptune will gladly pour some otherworldly adoration into your love life. On the other hand, some of you will probably just end up drinking too much. Either way, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy an altered state.
