In astrology, as with so much of life, it’s the dramatic stuff that gets your attention, but the quiet little moments of happiness can be easily overlooked. There’s no big spooky Eclipse to worry about this week, and most of the planetary action is pretty smooth and reasonable. That’s all the more reason to pay attention and take advantage of the good times while they’re happening. Work with conditions to get the best results while you can, because as we’ll see… there’s rougher stuff up ahead.
Venus sextile Jupiter is the most noteworthy aspect early in the week (exact on Tuesday). All else being equal, it will be a little easier to find some happiness either within yourself or with a partner. Yes, your diet may suffer a little but don’t fret — you look great. Relax and let yourself enjoy it.
Mercury is still retrograde and makes the sextile to Mars on Thursday. Mercury retrograde is, of course, notorious for making mistakes, missteps, and miscommunication. Combine that with the enthusiasm and impatience that often comes from an aspect to Mars — even a good aspect like the sextile — and maybe you should think really, really carefully before you turn that complaint into a declaration of war, or fan that spark into a brush fire. Mercury conjunct Venus is exact on Friday so (worst-case scenario) that might be your chance to patch things up.
Now: who wants a little passion this weekend? You do? Good! Venus sextile Mars is exact late Sunday/early Monday, but is in effect for the weekend. If there’s a special someone you’ve been wanting to take things to the next level with — or you feel like being talked into something like that yourself — get out there and make it happen.
So by the sound of it, this week’s astrological traffic is light and fluffy and sweet. That’s a good thing and you should take advantage of it. Why? Because astrologically, this week is like one of those scenes in the movie of quiet dialogue or humor, designed to give the audience a break between the more dramatic sequences. Uranus square Pluto is still ticking away in the background, growing closer to the exact degree, and Saturn is picking up speed on its way out of Scorpio and preparing for the square to Neptune. All of that’s going to make for pretty hectic December for a lot of us. At least that way when it hits the fan, you’ll be able to think back to that really great week in October you had, thanks to your astrologer buddy. You’re welcome.
