The two planets most associated with love and/or sex, Venus and Mars, will both be seeing a lot of action this week. Plan ahead — and find someone to share those plans with — and you might make a warm and fuzzy time for both yourself and that certain Special Someone. The dominant aspect this week is Venus opposite Neptune. That opposition can generate a lot of passionate feelings and dreamy delusion, but let’s be honest here: Love needs that sort of thing from time to time.
The week begins on Monday with a Full Moon in Pisces, and this one specifically is called “the Harvest Moon.” If you’re thinking, “Hey, Harvest Moon was a really romantic song by Neil Young,” you would be right, but since that Moon is also conjunct Neptune and opposite Venus you would also be putting yourself in the right mood. Normally a Full Moon amplifies the moods, and this particular one is made for a bottle of wine and soft lighting.
Hang on to as much of that warm and fuzzy feeling as you can on Tuesday, because the Moon is Void of Course for most of the work day in Aries, coming off of a trine to Mars, and Mercury is square Pluto. Resist that urge to yell at your boss for a raise, and generally make the effort to control your tongue. Temperamental slip-ups are a hazard today.
Wednesday is a strange mix of emotions, as Venus opposite Neptune reaches its peak and Mercury is sextile Jupiter. This will generally make for a lot of happiness and optimism, but then later in the evening the Moon is both conjunct and occult Uranus. You may recall from forecasts over the past few weeks that an occultation is when the Moon passes immediately in front of another planet from our perspective here on Earth. It’s a double-strength conjunction, and because Uranus is involved, it can mean a doubling-down on mood swings and strange encounters.
Many of us look to the weekend to blow off some steam, and celestial events will be lending a hand with that. Mercury opposite Uranus on Saturday makes the conversation particularly lively, and then Mars enters Sagittarius. The sexual mood will tend to go from steamy to sporty — and all this while Venus opposite Neptune is still in effect! Doesn’t all that sound like a great time for Saturday? One thing to keep in mind for Saturday is that the Moon is Void Of Course most of the day in Taurus: You’ll get better results with established relationships than in a situation that’s brand new.
Finally on Sunday, Venus trine Pluto brings a particular depth to your longings. It is a day for making dates and breaking diets. Really, doesn’t that sound like an ideal way to end the week?
