Love Horoscope for the Week of June 16

weeklyloveComing off of the effects of a fairly boisterous Full Moon in Sagittarius, this week should hopefully be a little more sedate for most of you… but that is ultimately going to be largely up to you and how you play the hand you’ve been dealt.

Mars is still square Pluto and Venus is still opposite Saturn, but those aspects are not as precise as they were in the last few days. Aspects between Venus, Mars and the outer planets can often make for a passionate mood. Just remember that “passion” alone is not always necessarily as much fun as it sounds. Octomom had a “passion” for making babies, but did having fourteen children make her a better mother? Put another way: the placement of Venus and Mars this week (Venus strong and a little demanding in Taurus, Mars with its energies focused on relationships in Libra) may have you seeking dramatic change. Sometimes that is a good and necessary thing, and sometimes it’s just another plot twist you’ve created for yourself. What you could really use in a situation like this is a little discernment, and for that we look to Mercury.

And by the way: Mercury will be surprisingly little help this week.

Mercury is still retrograde, and on Tuesday it drifts back into Gemini. Mercury in Gemini is a strong placement, filled with bright ideas and big plans. Just remember that it’s still retrograde, and that your bright ideas and big plans may be a little like the guy at the bar who’s finally had enough to drink that he thinks he can take on that biker at the pool table. Believing in your ideas is important, but that doesn’t necessarily make them good ideas.

Venus sextile Jupiter throughout the week (exact on Wednesday) may tend to make your human relations more pleasant overall, despite that urge to make changes. You may find that your romance and relationship sectors run a little more smoothly, or at least more quietly, depending on your circumstances. It’s also an excellent time to blow your diet, so let’s be careful with all that sugar.

The Sun enters Cancer on Saturday, and combined with Moon in Taurus throughout the weekend, this will make for a lot of comfort-seeking behavior on many people’s part. That can be ideal if you work it into the context of a hot date. However, since the Sun will be relatively unaspected throughout the weekend, it’s entirely possible that ego defenses will take over. Stop and count to ten before you overreact to a perceived slight.
