Love Horoscope for the Week of March 10

weeklyloveIt’s common in New Age circles to say that “you create your own reality.” There’s a certain amount of truth to that, and undoubtedly one’s mindset shapes the outcome of one’s actions almost as much as it shapes those actions themselves. At the same time though, it’s pretty obvious that all the positive thinking and affirmations in the world won’t un-break your leg or budge the planets in their orbits. If it all starts in your mind, you’d better pay attention to Mercury — and this week, Mercury stands out in a way that otherwise unassuming planet rarely does.

Mercury may no longer be retrograde, but it’s still in the “shadow period” of that retrograde until it passes the point where the retro started — 3 degrees Pisces, and that isn’t until next week. Your words and thoughts may be champing at the bit to get out, but Mercury square Saturn early in the week could be making your focus a little darker and more surly than it needs to be, and Mercury trine Mars (exact on Friday) might make you a little too enthusiastic about expressing those thoughts.

All of these cautions apply in particular to your love life and to your relations in general. Venus in the early degrees of Aquarius wants everyone to get along, to play nice, and to respect each other — but can be infuriatingly tone-deaf when it comes to the niceties of communicating these things to a loved one. Being in tune with Universal Principles is all fine and well… but who wants to be treated like a “Universal Principle” by a Loved One when that same Principle applies to the neighbors, the boss, the clerk at the grocery store, and your cat?

So: be cautious with your communications this week, because on top of all that the Cardinal T-square of Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto is still bubbling away under the surface, waiting to lash out at anything that looks at it funny.

The week ends with a Full Moon in Virgo. New Moons may represent the beginning of a new emotional cycle, but the Full Moon is a bit like the emotional climax of the monthly drama — the part of the show where things start blowing up. A Full Moon (in and of itself) is nothing to panic over, but can bring other issues and cycles to a head. This particular Full Moon aspects Saturn in a peaceful and constructive manner, and whatever gets shaken loose in your life this weekend probably needed it… or at the very least, you should be able to make something of the remnants. Remember that Saturn is retrograde, and that retrograde planets are no less powerful than at any other time, but they require a more thoughtful approach. Combine “thoughtful” with the intensity of a Full Moon, and you can get just about anything you want out of your life. At least, temporarily…
