Venus enters Aquarius on Wednesday. Like almost any other planet in Aquarius, Venus is a little bit weird and hard to decipher. Frankly, that’s perfectly alright by me: Love always understands its motives, even if to an outside observer the object of that love, how love is expressed, and quite possibly the emotion itself looks to be as crazy as a soup sandwich. If it’s straightforward logic you want, go knock on Mercury’s door. Love is supposed to make your life interesting and different, and a touch of the exotic doesn’t hurt either. That, and Aquarius is all about hope and aspiration and other things that get us through difficult times… and as you may have noticed, there’s a lot of “difficult times” going around of late, thanks to the Uranus-Pluto square.
Thursday and Friday are, arguably, the most powerful days Jupiter will be experiencing all year. The biggest planet in the Solar System — not to mention the natural ruler of levity, good times, and committed relationships — stops its retrograde motion and begins to move forward at 10 degrees Cancer, the Sign of its exaltation. This doesn’t automatically guarantee that everything in the world will turn the page to a happy ending, of course, but if your relationship (or anything in your life) needs a positive shake-up, this week might be the time to make that move.
Success may not be guaranteed this week, but some form of drama almost certainly is: Jupiter goes direct exactly square Uranus. Jupiter combined with the Uranus-Pluto square may be just the final push things need to blow up in a lot of areas of your life that have been under pressure for a long time now. Yes, I know that sounds a little scary — and maybe it is — but sometimes a good explosion is what’s needed in order to clear out the old junk and rebuild something better from the wreckage. Jupiter’s opposition to Pluto isn’t exact until next month, but is in effect now. Focusing on the growth and expansion opportunities Jupiter brings may be the best focus for your energies.
The weekend dating scene is mostly favorable despite all the potential chaos looming over our heads. Friday the Moon makes a sextile to Uranus, and Saturday the waxing Quarter Moon is in Gemini, which combines nicely with Venus in Aquarius to lend the proceedings a chatty meet-and-greet feeling — ideal for making new connections or having a good time with friends. Sundays often carry a certain emotional seriousness, and Moon in Cancer will reenforce that nicely with a trine to Neptune. In potentially difficult times, there’s real comfort to be had in hiding under the covers and letting the worst pass, and this Sunday favors doing just that… ideally, with someone you struck up a conversation with on Friday and/or Saturday.
