Any week featuring a Full Moon is likely to be memorable for someone’s nerves getting frayed, and this Tuesday sees a Full Moon in Gemini. Usually when an astrologer discusses the fine art of nerve-fraying, one of three planets gets mentioned: Mars, Uranus, or Pluto. This Full Moon, all three of those planets are bickering with each other, and a Full Moon isn’t likely to help them get along any better.
The Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square is an amplification of the Uranus-Pluto square that has been making life so edgy for so many the past couple of years. It certainly doesn’t help that Uranus is stationary on Tuesday — arguably the most powerful condition for a planet to be in. Uranus is the urge to throw off chains, Mars is the impulse to pick up a brick, and Pluto doesn’t particularly care where the shrapnel hits. Join all three in a T-square, and it’s pretty hard to say which side will win — but it’s fairly certain that, literally or figuratively, something’s going to get broken. Do your best to maintain some grace under pressure, and keep in mind that even the big and long-standing forces in play now are only being temporarily provoked by Mars and the Full Moon. “Temporary” may be a good thing in this case, but keep in mind that picking up a brick and hurling it through the front window of your life (or someone else’s life) doesn’t really take long at all, relative to the long-term consequences.
The remainder of the week should remain relatively calm. Jupiter trine Saturn remains in effect, and gives us all a chance to make something of the mess we’ve been presented with. Keep true to your principles, don’t be afraid to do some hard work, and remember to play nice, and there’s a lot of constructive potential hidden in all this jangled energy.
Finally, on Saturday, Venus turns retrograde at the tail end of Capricorn, thus staying in that Sign until March. This, combined with the ridiculously long trip Mars is taking through Libra, will make for some interesting challenges to love lives and social situations. Venus in Capricorn is loving, but demands a bit of order from the things it loves, and Mars loves action — but being in Libra, it tends to wait for the other guy to make the first move. When you combine these two forces, many of you could find yourself in a sort of stalemate with your affections … a sexy, sexy stalemate. Wait, is there such a thing as a “sexy stalemate”? Given how long Venus and Mars are in those Signs, we will all have a chance to find out — provided, that is, you didn’t get yourself arrested for brick-throwing this week. Like the overused meme says: keep calm and carry on.
