Love Horoscope for the Week of November 18

weeklyloveThis week, it’s time to lighten up a bit. Last week saw Venus conjunct Pluto being squared by Uranus, followed by a Full Moon — which is a recipe for emotional drama, but not the sort of thing you’d want to dine on all the time. Although Mars gets a little more play this time around, overall a well-aspected God of War can be easier to deal with than an agitated Goddess of Love.

Tuesday, Mars sextile Jupiter gives us a quick boost of amplified energy, but the Moon says “no” to getting results with new endeavors. As a matter of fact, the Moon is going to be a spoiler for much of this week’s potential. The Void of Course Moon eats up most or all of Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, so if you have a new venture or a new relationship to start, try to avoid those days altogether if possible. The net effect of times like this seems to be an added dollop of frustration: all the usual drives and demands of being human are in place, but nothing seems to gain traction. Try not to let the frustration get to you: that Mars-Jupiter energy lasts throughout the week, and there’s no rush to use it all right now, okay? It will still be in effect on Wednesday when Mercury sextile Pluto adds power and persuasiveness to your words and ideas; you may have the opportunity to communicate your needs to a loved one in a way they’ll actually hear and understand.

Mercury may no longer be retrograde, but it’s still in the “shadow period,” and that will be most apparent on Tuesday when the entire day vanishes into a Void of Course Moon in Gemini. The day is likely to be a whole lot of talk that ultimately goes nowhere — so feel free to talk about anything you like, but don’t expect any solid results. And on Friday, leave your impulses for new romance and emotional adventure on the shelf until later in the day, when the Void Moon in (occasionally) over-sensitive Cancer gives way to the bold stroke of Moon in Leo.

The week ends with Sun square Neptune. You may be facing an amplified version of whatever was wonky in your personal life back in late September/early October, with an extra dose of ego-bruising. Sun in Sagittarius may laugh things off too easily, and Neptune in Pisces may take things entirely too personally, but if you can find the middle ground between those two states, it could make for a pleasantly romantic Saturday … and a pleasantly wasted Sunday. The Moon in Leo loves a good weekend romance, but Sunday it enters another one of those day-long Voids. Ever notice how lions love to lay around and do nothing most of the day? That could be your safest approach Sunday. Get your romantic hunting done the night before.
