Venus continues her trip through Capricorn, seeking both emotional security and a decent return on investment for her charms. That quest for a blue-chip gig gets some healthy investment (and a surprise audit) from the other planets this week, and with a little luck, her pin-striped charms will be well-rewarded — or at least not too heavily taxed.
Venus is approaching a sextile with Saturn in Scorpio, which becomes exact next weekend. When those conditions arise, a remarkable thing can happen: all your fond wishes for emotional and/or material security can actually get a boost from the rest of The Universe, for once. If dissatisfaction in either of those realms has been an issue of late, prepare to make your move for security this week by planning ahead and riding out the waves. One of the biggest sources of those waves will occur Thursday and Friday, when Venus enters the choppy waters of the Uranus-Pluto square. Thursday, Venus is square Uranus, which can make for romantic surprises, often of the unwelcome variety. Then Friday Venus is conjunct Pluto, which can make unfulfilled longings a lot more demanding. For those of you who aren’t in a stable place with their love lives, that can certainly sound unwelcome — but keep in mind that what happens this week can be brought to a more satisfying and lasting conclusion next week, when Saturn pitches in with a little durability.
This is all good news if you’re absolutely clear on your goals, of course, but can you be sure you’re really thinking things through properly? It’s hard to be certain, especially when Neptune is stationary. After months of drifting backwards, Neptune has halted and is about to begin forward motion again. Neptune is a bit hazy on the details at the best of times, but is particularly strong now. Think back to the first three months of the year. What circumstances in your life were particularly unclear, uncertain, or undercover? Those circumstances may well arise again in the next month or so. During the first part of the week though, Neptune lends a certain angora-sweater fuzziness to the romantic ambitions of Venus in Capricorn — and that sort of thing can always be good for a bit of seduction.
If you are starting any new ventures, romantically or otherwise, avoid starting them during a Void of Course Moon — and the rest of this month features some very long Voids. This week, try to stall on any big ventures or completing any major projects on Tuesday, or the second half of Thursday.
And speaking of Moons: Sunday sees a Full Moon in late Taurus. Full Moons are edgy at the best of times, but if you have any major placements late in the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), expect a double dose of The Edge. With Saturn and the Nodes affecting those Signs too, the usual rumblings may have a tendency to turn into full-blown tremors.
Finally: Mercury retrograde may finally be over, but the planet of communications is still a bit slow to recover. Your e-mails and agreements may be less likely to mess up now, but show a little caution with those things over the next week or so anyway.
