Calling All Martians

I stumbled upon this ring by way of an a banner ad, while browsing on eBay. I was clicking through a selection of Italian made shift dresses when the site of this ring captured my attention.

Imagine my surprise when upon clicking through to the ad the name and description of the ring had zero references to the planet mars! At least not explicity, anyway. The mars principle, though, isn’t much for sublty.

The circle at one end and arrow at the other are already immediate conjurers of Mars. Then add to that the red, carnelian stone – a very martian gem! The lovely piece of jewelry is the Miami ‘Midi’ Signet Ring by London-based designer Lee Renee.

The reference to Miami is on par with the vibrations of Mars and carnelian, however; such that the image of the subtropical city is very body-centric and lustful. Wearer beware! Be selective in which finger you place this desire-igniting ring on. You will add power and energy the essence associated with that finger.

According to vedic astrology, the fingers on our hands correspond to the five elements:

  • the little finger represents Earth
  • the ring finger represents Water
  • the middle finger represents Air
  • the index finger represents Ether (Akasha)
  • the thumb represents Fire

The planets ruling these fingers and elements are:

  • Mercury (earth/little finger)
  • Sun or Moon (water/ring finger)
  • Saturn (air/middle finger)
  • Jupiter (ether/index finger)
  • No specific planet rules the thumb
