Love Horoscope for the Week of September 9

weeklyloveTwo of the “personal planets” change signs this week, and the Moon, coming off of a particularly powerful New Moon, will intensify the tone of many personal relationships. On Tuesday, Mercury enters Libra. Generally speaking, that’s an excellent placement for such activities as writing love letters and planning romantic activities, but perhaps not so good for more hard and logical things such as balancing your checkbook. If you been trying to find the right words to convey something to your loved one, the next week should provide plenty of opportunities. It might also be a good time to ask for a raise or put things in order at work now, before Mercury squares Jupiter next week.

On Thursday Venus enters Scorpio. Traditionally, astrologers have been hard on Venus in Scorpio. However, that may simply be a side effect of the circumstances and societies under which traditional astrologers were operating. Back when the ground rules for astrology were being figured out, no one thought “girls gone wild” was really a good idea. If your idea of the ideal feminine role is “barefoot and pregnant,” Venus in Scorpio may not be your cup of tea. But if you believe that the feminine principle can have cojones as well as charm, Venus in Scorpio is an excellent time to make your move.

Meanwhile, as Pluto slows down and prepares to go forward again, Saturn is approaching the exact sextile with it. An aspect like that between the “law and order” planet and powerful Pluto can make for a amazing results that can be made solid and real and permanent.

So all in all, it appears to be a good week to understand what it is you want out of your love life and your relationships; to convey that information to the object of your affection; and to get yourself some real solid results.

The one note of caution in all this is that Mars in Leo is square Saturn. Mars in Leo tends to favor sudden and dramatic gestures over cool, precise actions. When Mars is square Saturn, there is a tendency to want what one wants at any price regardless of consequences.

So please, keep this in mind: Yes you have needs, and yes you need to fulfill them. However, there is a huge difference between a love letter and a ransom note. Both will get you results of course, but no one likes a shotgun wedding when they are the one at the business end of the shotgun.
