This week’s New Moon in Virgo sets the tone for this week’s emotional exchanges. Virgo is often associated with planting and harvesting, and the emotional weather for this Moon indicates you may rake in a bumper crop of smooth, rational results in your personal life … which ought to be welcome, given the overall conditions we’ve faced in the last couple of years. Uranus square Pluto has made the entire world a bit crazy, and probably your world too — had you noticed? Now is the time to get ahead of the ball, as they say, and make things happen for yourself instead of floating like a cork on top of the Cosmic Chaos. “As ye reap, so shall ye sow” as the old saying puts it, so you might want to start flinging around the seeds of a better and happier life now while growing conditions are optimal.
This New Moon plugs nicely into Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn. Two planets with reputations for causing discomfort are stabilized, and the forward motion that you’ve needed in one department of your life or another can now be found. By now you’ve probably heard about the idea of “setting your intentions” for the future when the New Moon occurs; this week might be the ideal time to actually start doing so. Plan ahead for the next couple of weeks, and with a little clear-eyed reason and a touch of love, you will be able to manifest some well-earned sanity in your life.
Circumstances may be good overall, but (of course) they’re never perfect … and oh how Virgo loves the idea of “perfection”! Mars square Saturn climbs towards the exact degree, and peaks next week. Those of you with major placements around 7-8 degrees of the Air or Earth Signs are the most likely to feel its sting, and those with similar placements around the same degrees of Fire or Water are more likely to feel an awkward — yet potentially quite useful — push to change things in your world. We are still operating under the influence of Saturn sextile Pluto, however, and no matter what kind of agitation you feel this week, there will be the opportunity to ultimately make some use of it.
Then again, ask any farmer: sometimes you’ve got to break the soil in order to put a new crop in the ground.
As for love life conditions: Venus is still standing despite some major jostling last week, and whatever love life tensions you experienced last week have a good chance to settle into a more orderly groove this week. You gotta love Venus in Libra — she’s so resilient. Meanwhile, Jupiter square Uranus makes for a lot of quirky moods and spontaneous outbursts of good times, large moods, and sudden sentiments.
Finally, as long as we’re playing with the whole farming theme here … are those storm clouds on the horizon? Come back next week and we’ll give you the weather forecast for that.
