Tuesday evening’s Full Moon in Aquarius sets the tone for this week and will, for many of you, bring the opportunity to end a lot of stalemates in your lives with a bang. That’s because (even though it’s a terrible cliché) it’s true that Sun in Leo amplified by a Full Moon loves the drama. But just like the scantily-clad magician’s assistant walking on stage, that showmanship is there primarily to distract you from the real astrological sleight-of-hand that’s going on right in front of your eyes but that you nonetheless probably missed anyway.
Jupiter square Uranus will be creating a lot of tension with committed relationships and will shake a lot of your philosophical world-views. Jupiter is strongly placed in Cancer, and doesn’t let go of its comforts and routines easily … and Uranus in Aries is impatient for change at any cost. Put the two together in a square aspect, and it’s like one strong horse pulling towards the northwest, and the other pulling towards the northeast: whatever tries to attach itself to both will likely just get pulled in half. Try not to be like that eventually-doomed cart, struggling to stay intact and on track — instead, try to work with your conceptions of who you are and what that means in your relationships, and try to be flexible and patient with yourself and others.
A little kindness and diplomacy can smooth over a lot of difficulties, and Venus in Libra certainly has a gift for that. But even Venus in Libra has its limits, and as the Full Moon hits, Venus is approaching the square to Pluto and the opposition to Uranus. That Venus-Pluto square is exact just in time for the weekend — with excessive Jupiter squaring the whole thing opposite Pluto. This will turn Date Night into Fright Night for some of you, but for others should prove to be what’s needed to break the impasse that has been your love life of late.
Breaking old habits and old patterns requires both a head and a heart equipped for new ways of doing things, and that should fall into place early next week when the Venus-Uranus opposition becomes exact early next week … with Jupiter square Uranus pulling Venus in two different directions once more.
Venus in Libra: she’s a sweet thing, and lucky for her she can be flexible too when she needs to be. Follow her example, and you’ll turn out okay. After all, that magician isn’t REALLY sawing the lady in half — it just looks that way at the time.
