Last week’s Grand Sextile was a boon for some of you, but for many it was sort of a non-event. You might have looked forward to big changes for the better, and frankly, it might have fallen a little flat. Fear not, though: the planets keep moving, and new opportunities arise — like whenever a New Moon arrives.
Tuesday sees the beginning of a new cycle with the New Moon in Leo. Normally the new Moon in Leo is a time for egos to shine, for better or worse. This time, with a trine from Uranus in Aries and a quincunx from Pluto, this effect will be amplified. If you’ve needed to stand up for yourself in some department of your life, it will be an excellent time to do so in the following couple of weeks. If there is someone in your life who has been a bit overbearing with you of late, expect an added dose of it.
Jupiter will be opposite Pluto for this New Moon, and that effect will carry on throughout the week. A lot of you will be overdoing something or other to the point of recklessness. On the other hand, if there’s something that you wanted to do but the job has required some sort of personal emotional breakthrough, now is the time to pick up a sledgehammer and take on those psychological obstacles full force. Major placements in your chart at 15 degrees of the Fire or Air signs will feel this the most.
On Thursday, Mercury enters Leo and by Saturday Mercury square Saturn will tend to make thoughts and communication dramatically heavy. Properly applied, this energy to can make for some breakthroughs. Improperly applied, though? It could turn Saturday’s date night into fight night.
Overall though, the week should be good for getting your ducks in a row and getting things accomplished, whether that means improving your relationships or improving your filing system. Saturn trine Neptune is still in full effect, and when those two very different planets work together, minor miracles can be made to happen.
Other than that, Venus in late Virgo stands alone from the crowd, as it will for the next two weeks, moving into Libra on the 16th. If your love life and/or finances are in the doldrums, remain calm and make plans to change things in the second half of the month.
In the meantime, try to focus on the positives. One thing that a new Moon in Leo is usually good for is the potential for fun. Don’t wait to be invited to the party. Start your own party, and you just might find others willing to play along!
