True Story: In geometry, a doughnut-shape is called a “torus.” There’s usually no actual connection to the astrological “Taurus,” but if you yourself are one (or have a lot of it going on in your chart) you’ve likely spent a good portion of the month feeling like a doughnut … or rather, like a thing that curves around itself with no obvious start or finish and that goes nowhere. This week, with four planets entering Taurus, you might find yourself actually getting somewhere with things.
Americans generally think of April 15 as “tax day.” This, admittedly, does not make it the most beloved day on the calendar. But no matter where you live or what your finances are like, any Monday featuring a multi-hour Void of Course moon in Gemini going into Cancer is bound to be a little scattered and moody.
And speaking of finances (which are associated with Venus), Venus enters Taurus on Monday. From now until May 8, you can expect to hear astrologers talk about the virtues of this placement: the sensuality, the deep affection, and the huge romantic possibilities. You can always tell when Venus has left Taurus, because that’s when you hear a lot of astrologers’ clients and readers complaining that the Venus in Taurus did not magically make their soulmate appear. That’s because Taurus is notoriously kind of slow and lazy about things. It means of course to get things going. And believe me, standing behind the bull and pushing it doesn’t always seem like the wisest idea. But once a bull gets started, it is extremely unwise to stand in its way. Apply that logic to your love life for the rest of this month, and you’re more likely than usual to get at least some decent results.
Sun conjunct Mars near the end of Aries on Wednesday will give you one last chance to take all that Aries energy going on and put it to good use. Be careful with that though: this conjunction isn’t really aspected one way or another by any of the other planets. Be sure you’re making the right moves rather than simply going rogue out of frustration.
By the end of the week, the Sun and Mars enter Taurus. Fans of fast-paced, decisive action will generally be displeased. But if you need to apply a little order to your life, the weekend could prove to be quite constructive.
